Trena is the founder of Bolden Fields LLC,-Bolden Fields Marketing, Trena Bolden Field Coaching and Bolden Fields Publishing. Trena also hosts Tea with Trena, a weekly Facebook live created to inspire people to take action through stories shared and lessons learned. As an actor, she has performed at the Market Theatre in Johannesburg, Arena Stage in Washington D.C., Penumbra Theatre, Illusion Theater, Stages Theatre Company and more. She also wrote and performed two one woman shows, Daring to Think, Move and Speak and My Life Interrupted, Not Once, but Forever. She has presented and performed in the U.S., South Africa and Mexico.
Trena Bolden Fields is a published author and is working on her forthcoming book, Finding Love Within. She received her undergraduate degree in theatre arts and mass communication from Augsburg College and holds a master's degree in educational psychology, counseling and student personnel psychology from the University of Minnesota and an MFA in creative writing from Augsburg College. Trena received her life coaching certification from the Adler Graduate School. We want to congratulate all of last weekends Division 1 National Wrestling Tournament competitors for making it through the season having to deal with all of the new rules/adjustments due to COVID-19! A special shout out to Spencer Lee who won his 3rd title despite having to deal injuries to both ACLs, this kids is tough as nails and will be the focus of today's episode: " No EXCUSES!" We also would like to acknowledge that Gable Steveson was 1 of 5 wrestlers who won National titles this year who also happen to be young men of color! This is important because throughout the history of the collegiate sport, young men of color have always been the minority.
We have had some African American young men over the years participate on every level (Division 1, 2 & 3) and do extremely well, they have set the example showing young men and women of color that wrestling is a respectable sport that not only teaches mental toughness but also other values such as discipline, resilience and overall health and wellness.
