Real mental health is a physical condition caused by a deformity in the brain. Only less than 2% of the world's population have this condition. All other Mental Health is extremely temporary and is based on one's ability to overcome stressful situations due to certain things that are happing now or memories from the past. Politicians and big pharma want you to think otherwise. Get over it! The way most people are abusing the term mental health is appalling and sadistic. These types of self-serving people are weak and make excuses for themselves in order to not carry their own weight in society. Do not respond to these selfish individuals on social media or the CB as you only embolden them.
In this episode, I talk about several issues, but the most concerning is the way we, as drivers, treat ourselves and others. Trucking used to be one of the most respected professions in the industry. Today not so much. We need to bring this back. I explain the easy ways we can accomplish this and the satisfaction we can all get by following thru on this advice. Yeah, well it may be easy most of the time because of his or her experience, but let me tell you something, sometimes even a seasoned driver has trouble backing. Trucking has a long history. Yes, the trucks are comfortable today, and as much as we like to complain we really don't have much to complain about when it comes to comfort. Do you know what it was like for the older generation? Do you have the loyalty and respect it takes to be a trucker? When did real trucking start?
People are genuinely not understanding the cause and effects of true mental health. They are using this extremely temporary situation to take advantage of the people. The biggest threat is Social Media and Politicians. Most mental health issues are extremely temporary and are being abused by people who want attention for no other reason than they are narcissistic and selfish. 98% of the world's problems are not mental health, but temporary anguish from personal, controllable, and/or avoidable problems. Big pharma and politicians are pushing narratives to make our society weak and controllable.

Multiple law enforcement agencies were involved in the fatal shooting of a person in Texas on Friday morning following a pursuit of an 18-wheeler that led to a shootout with police.
For the first time in three years, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has a full-time administrator. On Thursday, the full U.S. Senate confirmed Robin Hutcheson to be the agency's administrator. She was confirmed by a unanimous consent vote.
Daimler Trucks North America is recalling about 202 the model year 2022-2023 Western Star 47X and 49X trucks, according to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration documents.

This year, Roadcheck took place May 17 — 19 in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. The 72-hour event is the largest targeted enforcement program on commercial motor vehicles in the world, with nearly 15 trucks or buses inspected, on average, every minute across North America. In this day and age, it is probable that most truck drivers check reviews of places they go to for repairs. It is also understood that the majority of reviews are made with malice. With this being said it is important to communicate directly with the repair shop in order to get the answers you need for a timely, cost-effective repair so as to not waste valuable time and money. Here are some tips on what to ask and to look for when making that decision.

Below is the release of the FMCSA's remarks regarding this issue. Let's talk about this.
FMCSA is moving forward with this rulemaking because of concerns about the number of CMV crashes and fatalities traveling at high speeds. In 2019, there were 860 fatal crashes in areas with posted speed limits of 70 to 75 miles per hour. Twenty-four fatal crashes in areas with posted speed limits between 80 to 85 miles per hour. Approximately 20 percent of fatal crashes occur in areas with posted speed limits in these ranges. The rule will help reduce crashes and save lives on our nation’s roadways.
The Notice of Intent (NOI) announces FMCSA’s commitment to proceed with a supplemental rulemaking proposal and request public comments on the issue. FMCSA is pursuing a carrier-based approach rather than the OEM approach used in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s and FMCSA’s jointly issued Notice of Proposed Rulemaking published in September 2016.

How much petroleum is in the plastic these truck stops use to hold the fruits and vegetables they sell? I have no clue but it certainly is enough to make the food taste nasty. We need better choices and we need to find a way to get the truck stops on board.

The word “rookie” sometimes gets a bad rap, but it’s not a negative term or an insult. It’s just a description of a stage in your career. In the Oxford English Dictionary, a rookie is defined as “someone who is new to the job.”
Insults are a part of life, especially from people who are shallow and were treated poorly while growing up. They will never be secure enough to realize that exploiting other people to make themselves feel good is wrong. But, being a rookie is never a bad thing.

Did you catch that podcast title? The driver is the only person criminally liable for an unsecured load! Along with you, others may be civilly liable but you take full responsibility legally and criminally! How does that make you feel when 75% of the time you are not even givin' the chance to fully inspect the load? Doesn't make sense, does it? We need to stop the madness and demand loaders, dispatchers, and truck companies, to allow us full access to inspect that load!

This ought to be interesting. I talk about some non-profits for truck drivers, a movie that was researched with real truck drivers, and a driver that was published in the Federal Register on August 19, truck driver Ronnie Brown III requested five years of regulatory relief for himself from many parts of federal HOS and ELD regulations. Let's see where this goes!
