FORGIVENESS CYCLE:
Identify the Debts: "Lord, what did _______ owe me?
Pass the Debts to Jesus: "Lord, I hand these debts to you."
Cancel the Debts: "Today I choose to forgive ______ of everything I have just listed. These debts are cancelled. Because you have cancelled all my debts, I will no longer try to collect what I am owed from them."
Release Judgement: "Lord, I repent for judging _______, as if I knew all the reasons why they did what they did. I know I only see in part. Forgive me for taking your role. I give it back to you. I trust your judgement."
Bless: "Lord, would you bless _______, and draw them to you?"
ADDRESS: What is a name for god that connects with your prayer?
TRUTH: What is the truth about God's nature that is the basis for your prayers?
REQUEST: What are you asking for? What do you need or want?
RESULT: What is the desired good result that will come if the request is granted?
THE NAME OF JESUS: Appeal to Jesus' intercession and mediator role.
Read: Read the passage aloud, slowly and intentionally. What strikes you? What details do you notice?
Meditate: Reflect on the reading. Place yourself in the story. As you experience the story, what do you see, feel, notice?
Pray: Ask the Lord what you need to hear today? What do you want to share with God?
Contemplate: Sit in silence and listen. Enjoy the presence of God. What is God teaching you or wanting you to experience?
2: Meditate: Reflect on the reading, and allow the Spirit to connect it to your life. Imagine being present to hear the passage or witness the story. Replay it in your mind's eye. As you experienced the passage, what do you see? What do you notice? What do you feel?
Pray: Thank God for His word and His presence with you. Ask the Lord what you need to hear today. Ask Him what He would like to say to you. What do you want to share with God?
Contemplate: Sit in silence, and listen. Enjoy the presence of God. Take note of the love of God. Sit in your love of God. What is God teaching you? What is He wanting you to experience with Him?
