The Gospel is good news because it tells us there is real, genuine, supernatural power from God that changes us in the best way. In Christ, our identity is no longer “sinner.” In Christ our new identity is “saint.” We’ve been made new by Him on the inside – which means we’re not just sinners saved by grace; we are saints learning to live by grace. And our new authority is the Spirit of God over us, for us, and in us.

You see, sin is a master that always pays on time & in full. Every time we sin, it’s like we punch a timecard that earns us a little bit more death in life. If you want to live in a religious system where you get paid back for what you put in, that paycheck for that is death. Sin gives us what we deserve… but God doesn’t! That’s good news! God isn’t fair with us; He’s better than fair. He is gracious, kind, loving, forgiving, and redeeming with us. I think that’s why Paul very purposefully says that the wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus. No work involved there!
The good news is that the Gospel is the power of God for everyone & for always. Which means… when you place your life in God’s handyou become a powertool for righteousness, for everyone & for always.

There’s only one way for religious & non-religious people to be saved: we’ve all got to come to the cross of Jesus Christ & embrace this wonderful, good news of salvation from sin & eternal life with Him.
The purpose of explaining the bad news is to shine a light on the good news! That even though we are all accountable & we all turn from God, we can all find grace & peace in Christ Jesus. Even though we stand guilty on our own before a holy God, there IS a cure. There IS a solution. There IS a Savior, and His name is Jesus. You’ll find hope with Jesus. A hope that won't disappoint. That’s good news!
As we continue with our change, today we are jumping to genesis, Last week we talk about Philemon, today we talk about Jacob in Genesis 32:22-30.
So grab your bible and read these verses and follow along as we study the bible.
The grace of God changes us on the inside, then it changes how we relate to others. Philemon is a small letter in the Bible but it’s full of meaning about grace and the practicality of the Gospel in our daily lives. It shows us how God uses grace to bring lasting life change.
This Bible is a wonderful book but it’s also an ancient document, so what could it have to say to us about technology today? You may be surprised to find that the Bible can help us in many different areas of our modern lives that we might not expect
Life is a wonderful gift from God, and Psalm 139 gives us a powerfully thorough explanation of the meaning of life with God. Join us as we conclude our study of the Psalms by learning all about “A PSALM OF LIFE.”
Although death may cause the most intense form of grief, there are other kinds of grief in life that we deal with between the promise of heaven & the pain of this life.
