Regenerative farming is a catching phrase. It sounds wonderful but what does it mean? And walked out, what does it actually look like for both farmers and consumers? In this opening episode we first talk to Jason Rountree, a professor of Animal Science at Michigan State University, where he is the Charles Stewart Mott Distinguished Professor for Sustainable Agriculture. Next, we speak to the well-known regenerative farmer Will Harris of White Oak Pastures.

On September 21, 2021 at 20 weeks, we delivered our sweet baby boy who was already with Jesus. It's been a long time coming, telling this story. I know with as close to 100% certainty as one can get in this situation why it happened... incarcerated uterus. His death could have likely been prevented if we had known. I want others to know. Incarcerated uterus is said to be "very rare" but with 25% of women having a retroverted uterus, the fact that another woman had been in with the same issue immediately before my appointment and the fact that doctors and practitioners just don't know anything about it leaves me thinking it's possibly a bit less rare than 'they' think.There's no residual anger, there wasn't any to start with. I just want providers to be educated.I didn't plan on this episode going quite as it did... I'm still unsure that I'm happy I recorded it. I shared more about the pregnancy itself than I planned and forgot to mention several things I'd hoped to. It just feels raw again. I hope this episode educates, encourages you to advocate for yourself, helps you know you aren't alone if you've lost a baby, and for those who thankfully have not - gives you some insight. There’s no question of where we stand on Pride month or marketing transgenderism to children. It’s wrong & should be called out as wrong. But before going into battle we need to make clear the end goal. Are we really winning from a Christian perspective when we see corporations tuck their tails because profits drop? Is evil really being defeated or just going into hiding?

Jenna Riley's father needs a kidney transplant and she has selflessly offered to be a living donor for him. The good news is she is a match. The bad news is the hospital has refused to give him a transplant unless he falls in line with the Covid shot(s). It gets even harder to make sense of the hospital's demand of adherence to this extremely broad non-individualized protocol as she tells their story, gives us his background and recent other major surgeries at the same hospital.
Cecily and I then discuss further, adding in my (Rita's) recent experience with the Barnes and Northwestern transplant teams as my father in law was a lung recipient exactly a year ago. Make no mistake, the care my father in law received and the ability of the Northwestern staff to work together was wonderful, however its the losing of the mind when it came to Covid specifically that cannot be overlooked. Complete lunacy and loss of ability to think.

We want liberty & less government overreach... unless that overreach comes in a package we tend to agree with? Two Idaho politicians have introduced legislation to make giving an mRNA vaccine a misdemeanor. I polled my audience where more were for this legislation than against. The "road less traveled". Many of us think we are on it, almost everyone wants to be on it. But when we reflect upon how that actually looks. Less traveled might mean harder, sacrificing personal gain, being misunderstood etc. Less traveled isn't the same road/opposite direction. It's a different road altogether.
We discuss 3 Bills on the table that aren't actually getting much attention in the news. One US Federal bill to end the healthcare worker vaccine mandate and how CMS leaves healthcare workers as a commodity in our partially socialized medical system. A bill proposed in Idaho to criminalize giving mRNA injections and another state bill to add upon the "domestic terrorism" discussion that was started federally for "spreading mal-dis and misinformation" (aka exercising freedom of speech).
School boards meetings all across America and Canada have been highlighted as tensions grow between concerned parents and those pushing woke agendas and the promotion of pornographic content as curriculum. This meeting is particularly disturbing as the chairwoman cuts the mic on anyone who speaks anything other than what SHE believes to be worthy and true, wielding what Cecily rightly describes as her "fake power."

Beware of normal. What even is "normal?" Well, it seems that the past weeks have brought a reprieve from masking and mandates, and we're getting a taste of what life was like pre-2020.

Justice, in simple terms, is putting things right. Clearly, as humans, we will never get it all right. But while we wait for the perfect justice that IS coming from our Lord, we can and should do our best to actively move against injustice that we see inflicted upon our fellow image-bearers.
We discuss the role of Christians throughout history in the fight against injustice, and while times and situations change, God never does. His call to us is the same today as always: learn to do good; seek justice; correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless; plead the widow's cause; love kindness, walk humbly with your God.

We live in a world that's all about awareness. It seems we're told that if only we could learn more about the plight of every person, disease, race, orientation, or catastrophe, the world would be a better place. But does knowledge alone fix anything? The goal for awareness should be to move people towards true action. But what does action beyond awareness look like? We also caution that when awareness is done really wrong, it simply leads to harm and division.
This conversation is, ironically, about raising "awareness" about the possible pitfalls of awareness done wrong. Our hope is to also lay some groundwork for going beyond just "awareness" to true action about the things you are passionate about.
