In this episode Fran and Ed sit down with Thom as he asks them the questions from the 11am and 3pm church seminars.
In the final episode of our Embodied series, Sam and Elizabeth join Thom to chat about some of the issues surrounding singleness and also respond to a number of questions people had coming out of the sermon on the weekend.
Char joins Thom and Kev to respond to a number of questions from the congregation and think about how we can pastorally engage with the various situations we find ourselves in.
Thom and Kev look back on the weekend and respond to some questions raised by members of the congregation. This is intended to be a conversation starter and is by no means the last word on this issue for us at Euston. Let's engage with this more and more so that we can learn to love people better as we live together under Christ.
Elizabeth, Vanessa, Xi Mian, and Tim from the church family join Thom for some personal reflection on the series. This was a great opportunity to think personally and practically about all we have heard and move towards some practical application.
In the penultimate episode on Revelation, Thom and Kev discuss chapter 20 giving some time to thinking about two of the options we have when interpreting the millennium. They also think a bit more about justice in this passage.
How do you visualise Jesus? Why does he delay his return? Are you ready for the return of the King? Sam and Thom look back on Sam's sermon on Rev 19:11-21 and think about these questions and many more!
Kev and Thom take a look back at the structure of Revelation up to this point as well as consider the nuance of applying a passage such as this one. They particularly consider the difficulties which come from trying to make godly consumer choices in a globalised world.
Are we being seduced? Thom and Kev chat more about the implications of Babylon in the world, Kev let's Thom nerd out a bit on the imagery, and they think about what it means for evil to be its own undoing.
Ed expands his thoughts on the seven bowls as him and Thom dig deeper into the idea of the fairness of judgment
Looking back on the weekend Sam gives us some more insight into his preparation and the various images of the passage such as the first fruits, sickles, and wine press. We also consider what it means to live as a follower of the lamb today, whether in Africa or central London.
Thom gives Kev an opportunity to expand on the two beasts as well as the number 666. They then spend some time thinking about application for us today.
Kev guest hosts this episode as he and Thom reflect on Revelation 12 and consider the images, structure, and purpose in more depth. They also discuss this section of Revelation as a whole and walk through a difference of opinion they have.
