Raj&Pablo have worked in UK and Indian media for over 2 decades and have been involved in every aspect both back stage and in the limelight. Since 2002 they've hosted BBC Asian Network's hugely successful The Raj & Pablo Show, mixing with Bollywood's biggest stars and establishing a reputation as Bollywood experts.
Raj&Pablo formed a duo after meeting as actors on Oh This Feeds my Soul, a play written by Eastenders star Nina Wadia, then went to perform together as pop musicians.
Raj&Pablo enjoyed a successful pop career in the band Aasha, topping the Indian dance charts with the album Bollywood Nights in 2002 and touring Europe. They also founded the original London Bollywood monthly nightclub, Bollywood Nights at London's Cobden Club, decribed at the time as one of London's top 5 club nights. The club night was also hosted at venues including the Savoy, with a Bollywood on Ice skating event at London's Somerset House.
Following on from a Bollywood-themed month at Selfridges in 2002, they gained the title, "the kings of the Bollywood club scene" in the Evening Standard. Reuters called the duo, "the Bollywood IT Boys", and the Economist credited Raj&Pablo with increasing the international reach of Bollywood beyond its Indian origins.
As radio and television presenters, Raj&Pablo are best known for hosting The Raj and Pablo Show, previously called Love Bollywood, Film Cafe and The Lunch Show.
The duo also presented BBC Radio 2's Jai Ho Ho, it's a Bollywood Christmas with Raj&Pablo.
Raj&Pablo have interviewed the biggest stars of Bollywood, including illustrious names of the big screen like Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Abhishek Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai, John Abraham and Proyanka Chopra. After spending a day with Raj&Pablo, Shah Rukh Khan tweeted, "Oh world class hectic day... was with Raj & Pablo for BBC... had a great time with all... @iamsrk"
The duo have also carried out Red Carpet interviews at international Bollywood events including IIFA Rocks for the International Indian Film Academy Awards and the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival.
Raj&Pablo released Bollywood Nights, a compilation album of Bollywood music, with BBC Asian Network and EMI, in 2010. The duo also presented BBC Red Button Show in 2010 and a Christmas Special, B4U Best of 2010 Top 20 in December 2010. Raj&Pablo are also both actors and have had roles in films incluuding Anubhav Sinha's Tum Bin 2 in 2017.
Raj&Pablo are also experienced journlalists, specialising in the genre of Bollywood movies and movie stars. As Subject Matter Experts in the genre, they've written regular columns for publications including Eastern Eye and Filmfare. They have also written Bollywood columns for publications including Asian Woman magazine, Ikonz magazine and The London Paper.
As celebrities in their own right, Raj&Pablo are often the subject of news articles. For instance, when they have featured in articles like, Kajol Recreates Dilwale's Gerua and the Result is Hilarious. The duo also launched a charity t-shirt range in 2011 under the 'Bollywood Jollygood' range, supported by Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone.
Pablo&Raj also have a large social media following, with an international fan base, on FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and the Raj&Pablo Bollywood Times online magazine.
Raj&Pablo were announced winners in the Best in Media category at the British Indian Awards in 2014. In 2018, they were recognised at the Asian Achievers Award.
