This week Mike, Pat, and Dylan explore Tilman Singer's laters directorial debut CUCKOO! Cuckoo is a 2024 psychological horror film directed by Tilman Singer. The film stars Hunter Schafer, John Malkovich, Gemma Chan, and Sofia Boutella. It is described as a nightmarish, atmospheric horror story that blends elements of psychological and supernatural tension. The plot revolves around a young woman (played by Schafer) who experiences bizarre and unsettling events after arriving in a mysterious town. Singer, known for his surreal style, builds on his previous horror work, such as Luz, to craft a dark and immersive experience.

Creatures of the Night! The Horror Junkies are back for another blood curdling week of snacks and shenanigans. On this week's episode the boys get together to discuss some aquatic horror. The first film on the butcher's block is the 2021 release by Alexandre Bustillo titled The Deep House, a movie that takes place underwater, in a spooky old house, and has some sort satanic cult that kidnaps children. Its absolutely black metal, just make it past the first 15 mins to start the good stuff. The second film up for slaughter is something that has one of the coolest intro's but that's about it, of course we're talking about Steve Beck's 2002 release Ghost Ship or rather Ghost Sh*t. Man what a bad movie that ridiculously overplays Mudvayne so much you want to die.

The first film up on the butcher block was the directorial debut of OZ Perkins released in 2017 titled The Blackcoat's Daughter and the power of Satan lives in this movie. If you haven't taken the time to watch this film do yourself a favor and turn the lights off and watch this film! It's got everything you could want in an Horror movie; slasher kills, demonic possession, and pea puke. Following that discussion, the second film discussed is Rose Glasses debut as a director titled Saint Maud initially released in 2019, but it landed on VOD in 2021. Wild movie with some similar themes as the first but it takes it viewers a twisted ride of godly devotion and sexual pleasures.

The first film up on the butcher block is the third installment in the Evil Dead franchise, Army of Darkness released in 1992. Originally, going to be titled Evil Dead III: Army of Darkness or even Medieval Darkness, Raimi delivers us a fully fleshed out Ash Williams and we are here for the 3 stooges humor and deadite action! The second film takes the Horror Junkies into the realm of Hairy, but Sweaty as we discuss his most recent work Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This Marvel comics movies pushes the element on Marvel's typical family friendly entertainment and delivers a vivid rollercoaster of action and yes even GORE! Raimi gives us nerds the initial taste of the forbidden fruit that is Marvel Horror and it absolutely kills.

What can we say about his film, but holy gore fest! Screw the haters, this movie is giving us exactly what we wanted from another TCM movie. Listen up Horror Fiends! The Horror Junkies are back for another week of snacks and shenanigans after a small break due to Mike moving across the country, Patrick finally moving into his new house after so many years living in his car and then Mike got the Covid. Now that everything is back to normal, the show will be consistent and new episodes will be released every Friday wherever you find podcasts.
On this week's episode the team gets together to discuss Scream 3 released in 2000, Scream 4 released in 2011, and finally the newest installment Scream 5 or in Patricks world 5CREAM. Of course Scream 3 & 4 were directed by the Master of Horror himself, Wes Craven, with 5CREAM being directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. As with most of the Scream movies 1, 2, & 4 were written by Kevin Williamson, with 3 & 5 having different writers. So what did we think? Well your just going to have to listen and find out!

Listen up Horror Fiends! The Horror Junkies are back for another week of snacks and shenanigans and this month Patrick pick all Japanese and Korean Horror movies for us to watch. In the final week of this weird journey we watch and discuss Hideo Nakata's 1998 release titled Ringu. Not much to say about this slow burn of a film and we might even have to say that the 2002 remake is a better film. The second film of the show is Takashi Shimizu's 2002 third installment into the Ju-On series titled Ju-On: The Grudge. A fun movie that paces with a turn of a screw with most of the events happening in the final 30 mins of the film.

Listen up Horror Fiends! The Horror Junkies are back for another week of snacks and shenanigans and this month Patrick pick all Japanese and Korean Horror movies for us to watch. In week three of this weird journey we first watch and discuss Beom-sik Jeong's 2018 release titled Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum, just think of it as a less great Grave Adventures. The next film is one that had an unexpected success when it was release backed in 1977 in Japan, but didn't get a following in the States until 2009 and that is Nobuhiko Ôbayashi's Hausu or House. We literally just had a great time watching this film and can see why it has such a cult following.

Following that discussion we talked about a South Korean movie titled The Wailing by Na Hong-jin released in 2006. Sitting at 2hr 36 mins run time, The Wailing gives its viewers a hell of ride with ghost, possession, shaman's, and the literal devil.

Meanwhile, the clowns set about harvesting and eating as many people as they can. It's not until they kidnap Debbie that Mike decides it's up to him to stop the clowns' bloody rampage.

Trench 11 is a film that is based around the final days of WWI. An allied army unit is led by a shell-shocked soldier to investigate a mysterious abandoned German facility located deep underground. What they find is fate worse than death.
We really enjoyed this film and you can tell that the director really pulls inspiration from John Carpenter's The Thing. This movie is available on VOD, so make sure to pick it up and get ready to find it hard to breathe.

This week on the Horror Junkies Podcast we decided that since everyone is heading back to school, it only seems right to do a show with movies themed around schools. The first film we watched this week is the 1998 release titled The Faculty. A pretty bizarre movie revolving around a group of teens who suspect their teachers are aliens. The second movie is a classic werewolf film that many horror fans love, Ginger Snaps, released in 2001.

Heartless is based on Edgar Allan Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart" and deals with an overlooked associate who struggles to complete a corporate presentation as a horrific secret gnaws at her conscience. And we have to say shit gets crazy fast.
This short only has about a 12 minute run time and when we say it makes you question everything, it really makes you question the events taking place until the very end. Kevin did an excellent job of capturing the weird essence that Stacy Synder brings to life during the short.

All we can say is this looks like an revamped Ghostbusters, but done better and we can't wait.

This week on the Horror Junkies Podcast, Dylan choose the movies that followed a certain theme. That theme being individuals moving into a new home and then proceeding to then get haunted by ghost. He came up with this because Mike, Pat, and Jorge are moving into new places.
The first movie up for discussion is Thi13ten Ghost, released on October 26, 2001 and directed by Steve Beck. You know the guy who guy us that sick intro in Ghost Ship. Thir13en Ghost is an ultimate classic, because of the in depth background story each ghost has and the house they are trapped in.
The second movie was The Haunting in Connecticut, released back in 2009 and we have to say this was a hard watch. Though it has really cool flashback story points, the overall feel of this movie is lost. An abundance of jump scares and a rushed story.
The last movie is The Sentinel, directed by Michael Winner and was released back in 1977. The movie revolves around a model who moves into a new apartment and then begins to start hearing weird noises above her room and potentially kills a man in the dark. This movie is weird, but it does work. A complex religious story line, and pulling from a lot of horror classics make it a fun watch alone at night.

This week the Horror Junkies dive into the world of Patrick Bateman and Mary Mason as we discuss American Psycho, American Psycho 2, and American Mary.
American Psycho starring Christian Bale, is a movie that will forever be horror junkies must watch list. From its complex story line, to the narration by Christian himself, viewers can find themselves lost in the rabbit hole if they're not paying attention. Crazy kill scenes and the best soundtrack.
American Psycho 2: All American Girl, is probably the worst movie we've seen and that's saying something. From the bad writing, acting, plot, and everything else. This movie is just a pathetic attempt of a studio trying to make some money on by slapping a title from a hit movie and claiming its a sequel.
American Mary is a pretty dark movie. The main character goes through traumatic event, and then finds herself seeking revenge on the man who did it. Though it portrays a bad view of the world of body modifications, this movie does have some cool elements. Unfortunately, the last 30 mins of the movie really just fall apart. The only amazing thing about this movie is Katharine Isabelle.
As always on the show we discuss the latest in Horror news and this week turned out to have some really good articles. First up, DC Comics is releasing Constantine: City of Demons on October 9th, and the trailer looks fucking incredible. Another article we talk about is the 3rd, and hopefully last, trailer for the upcoming Venom movie starring Tom Hardy. Do they show to much? Will this be the Venom we deserve? All of these answers and more to come.

Black Mirror is a fantastic show and one that really leaves the viewer puzzled each and every story. We love that it has gone 4 seasons and hope that it continues to shock and screw with our heads. From the Pig sex in the first episode to the Star Trek themed episode in the latest season. We believe that this show has something for everyone, no matter what you're into.

This week on the Horror Junkies Podcast, Mike and Pat discuss two films from the mastermind Guillermo del Toro: The Shape of Water and Pan's Labyrinth.
On the first part of the show, Patrick talks to us about whats happening in the Horror world. Unfortunately, it appears that The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is yet again getting a reboot. Hellraiser: Judgement is finally getting released on Blu-ray on February 13, 2018. Another thing that was brought up was about a movie called Mom and Dad, where the parents start killing their kids.
The first movie by del Toro is Pan's Labyrinth, released in 2006. This movie takes place in 1944 Spain, the bookish young stepdaughter of a sadistic army officer escapes into an eerie but captivating fantasy world.
The newest film released by del Toro was The Shape of Water. This movie takes place in a 1960's research facility. Elisa, a mute janitor, forms a relationship with a mysterious aquatic creature. Yet again, del Toro has made the audience care about every character in the film.

The Horror Junkies are finally back from an unexpected break. We would like to first start off, by apologizing for taking a break. Patrick had an alligator thrown at him by Florida man and we had to deal with that.
We decided to discuss Christmas Horror movies, because it's time to fill the holiday season with blood and gore. On this episode, we talked about a bunch of different horror movies based around the Christmas season. One movie that really pulls Santa's beard is of course Die Hard, but no its Gremlins.

It's week two of Monster month and on this episode of the Horror Junkies, Pat and Mike are looking at monsters they like from the 60's and 70's.
We start the show off with a different segment called Hairy,but Sweaty where we discuss nerdy things we love. Two days ago, the trailer for the latest installation of the Star Wars saga premiered and we cannot wait to see what surprises The Last Jedi have in store for us. We're nerds, we can't help but talk about it. Sorry, not sorry.
On the news segment, Patrick discussed the first image from the upcoming Strangers sequel coming out on March 2018. We get a first look at Dollface hunting a potential victim. We are extremely excited for this film to come out, because The Strangers has to be one of the best films to do the home invasion story line.
In the main part of the show we discuss a numerous titles of Monster films from the 60's and 70's. Patrick chose to talk about Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, credited to be one of the earliest slasher flicks in the horror genre. He also talked about John Carpenter's Halloween and William Friedkin's The Exorcist. Mike wanted to get weird and obscure with his monster picks so, he talked about The Astro Zombies, Blood Thirst, and Night of the Living Dead.

It's a bit late, but here is the overdue episode on SPAWN!!!! The Horror Junkies got together to talk about everyone's other favorite Anti-Hero Spawn and how this character created one of the darkest stories in the comic world.
As usual we start with the news segment of the show and as per usual Pat A.K.A Tiny Rick brings a lot to the table. The first major highlight for the news was the recently dropped trailer for Jigsaw, the newest edition to the SAW franchise. Trailer looks like its going to a pretty blood filled movie, but it wouldn't be Jigsaw without blood. Unfortunately, this newest film gives us a SAW 2 kind of vibe, so lets hope it doesn't disappoint. The next piece of news to devour is the recently announced SPAWN movie. Todd McFarlane finally announced his big news during San Diego Comic Con that Blumhouse Productions will be making his movie.

This week on the Horror Junkies Podcast, the guys in the studio super late and sleep deprived. We decided that since another Master of Horror left this world to the next, that we would do a tributecast. And of course we are talking about the recent passing of George A. Romero.
First, as always, Patrick A.K.A Tiny Rick dives into the news. This week we held back a bit on the news, so we could spend more time discussing Romero and his films. Some highlights that we discussed were: 'The Snowman' featuring Michael Fassbender, and Guillermo del Toro's debut trailer for his upcoming movie 'The Shape of Water'. Both these films looking stunning and we cannot wait for them to be released.
Getting into the main portion of the show. Romero redefined how horror movies would be made with the debut of his movie 'Night of the Living Dead', shaping the world from this one film that the Horror movie culture could in fact tackle social commentaries. We saw in 'Night of the Living Dead' how the lead act Duane Jones, not killed by the hordes of Zombies he had just spent 90 minutes fending off, but rather meet his demise by the hands of the armed militia. The movies commentary of the Civil Rights movement hits so hard, you yourself might become the undead. This is just one example of many on how Romero's work changed the Horror world, we go into much more during the show.
We played SuperFight this week and finally Angel and Mike got to battle each other. In the first round Angel won with Buffalo Bill who gets stronger when he drinks blood defeating Jigsaw armed with stakes, cross, and some garlic. We did another quick round and Mike ended up winning with a tribe of cannibals armed with one gun with silver bullets. Angel had Wolfman, who was having some sort of religious breakdown.

The Strangers 2 just announced that they cast the three individuals to play as the beloved Strangers. We talk about Tarantula from 1955 by Jack Arnold, Arachnophobia directed by Frank Marshall and of course a cult classic Eight Legged Freaks directed by Ellory Elkayem. Jorge tells us about a personal encounter with a spider and of course things get creepy.

In the first segment of the show as usual Patrick tells us whats happening in the Horror world with the news. Up first is a awesome video titled "Babashook" which is a music video that gives the Babadook a Drag makeover. Then of course the most anticipated season of Rick and Morty will be coming out July 30th and we are so stoked to see what the creators have in store for us. Another bit of news is that Leatherface will be an exclusive DirecTV release on September 21, 2017, with a limited theatrical run and full VOD release potentially on October 20, 2017.
The main discussion of the show is about The Roanoke Colony, founded by Sir John White in August of 1587. 115 English settlers arrived on the Island began colonizing the permanent English Settlement, ordered by Queen Elizabeth I. Later in that year, Sir White left Roanoke heading back to England, to replenish supplies, but upon returning there was a mighty naval battle between Spain and England and the Queen ordered all available ship to help fight. It wasn't until 1590 that Sir White finally returned to Roanoke, but upon returning, he saw no one. Insert spooky ghost noise here.
There are many plausible theories as to what happened to those settlers who stayed behind, but of course we have to find the most ridiculous theories and talk about them. Some say the settlers resorted to Cannibalism, others say Aliens came and abducted them, in what would be the largest abduction in our history. But many simply do not have the answers and we will probably know what happened to those people.
Later in the show, we have our Versus segment and this week it was the Patrick, the reigning champ against new comer Angel. Patrick was the Antichrist who gets stronger by drinking blood, and Angel had Carrie who multiplies when wet. We decided that the Antichrist wins this match, making Patrick 2-0.

On this week's episode of the Horror Junkies Mike and Pat get together to talk about Home Invasions and some of the movies we love that surround them. Angel and Austin have permanently entered the void and we have no idea how to get them back, so hopefully by next week will have a plan.
On the Horror News segment on this weeks show, Patrick brought yet again a lot of topics to discuss. One of the weirdest things this week is a group of fans of John Carpenter's "The Thing" are planning a 40th anniversary trip to the filming location, which sounds like it could be a really cool found footage film idea. The American Werewolf in London reboot will be a mixture of practical and CG effects. A quite ridiculous bit of news is that Michael Phelps is going to race a Shark during the upcoming Shark Week. Why this is happening? We really don't have the answers, but one could only hope for some crazy shit to happen. And speaking of water, this Summer you could be lounging in the water, while watching Jaws, which seems like a great time, unless you live in Florida.
In the Horror History segment, Mike talks about a personal experience he had with someone breaking into his old house in Ocala and Patrick also shares a story of a home invader. Who would've thought that Mike would own the sword from Lord of the Rings to hopefully attack his invader.
Versus this week is completely new. Instead of coming up with Horror Icons to fight each other, the guys picked up an expansion deck from a card game called Super fight. We each drew three white cards, which are the characters and then three black cards, which are the attributes. Then we show each other our fighters and we debate who would win in a fight. The game is a lot of fun and we can't wait to play it more on the show.

The Horror Junkies are back this week and for once we are not sweating are beards off in the hot garage. We have relocated into an open room at Mike's house and there is AC. Today's show is going to be all about Shark movies and just how much we hate all of them, because we can all agree that Jaws and Sharknado are the only great shark franchises to exist.
As usual we dive into the news with our host Patrick, and again it feels like a never ending list of things happening in the Horror world. First up is the recent confirmed release of the title for the next installment of the Saw series. Saw 8, known as Saw Legacy is now going to be called Jigsaw. So who knows what story line the director is trying to go for, but based of the plot synopsis, it feels kinda like Saw 3. Next
On today's show we also celebrate the release of probably one of the best shark movies all of time... JAWS. Directed by Steven Spielberg and released on June 20, 1975, after 42 years of blood curdling screams, this movie still makes people wary to step into the ocean waters. JAWS will always be a show favorite and will continue to instill the fear of sea into its viewers.
On this weeks Versus, we decided to battle two major Shark movie franchises and see who would win in a fight to the death. This week it was JAWS against the underdog Sharknado. The Twitter poll ended with JAWS taking the lead with 78% and leaving poor Sharknado with 22%. But it wouldn't be in typical Horror Junkies fashion if we didn't utterly disagree with our poll and we all said we think Sharknado should win. We feel like the Sharknado would go over water, become a cyclone and pick up JAWS and destroy him.
And finally, we talk about some recent movies we watched during the week and listen to Angel create a Space Shark movie and just get weird.

The Horror Junkies are back in the studio this week with their good friend Jorge. The Florida sky is turning black and the winds begin to pick up, which means that the conditions for recording our episode are perfect. On this week's episode we discuss Infection movies and finally tackle the underrated hit It Comes At Night by Trey Edward Shults.
In the first half of the show, Patrick drags us through what felt like an eternity of Horror News. Bringing up some really anticipated Horror themed games from the E3 conference that was this past week. Such titles include: The Last of Us part 2, The Evil Within 2, Wolfenstein II, and Days Gone, which feels like it was influenced by World War Z. Be sure to check out those games if your into survival games or if you just want to cry with the lights off.
We also had a pretty intense Horror History segment with Mike. Before digging into his topic, Mike brought up a painting from It Comes At Night. This particular painting is titled The Triumph of Death and was painted by Pieter Bruegel the Elder in 1562. Depicting mass death, walking skeletons, and destruction. The topic of Horror History today was the Bubonic Plague that decimated Europe in the 14th century, wiping out one-third of its population.
The second half of the show is our short Spoiler Free conversation about It Comes At Night, followed by a longer spoiler filled conversation about what our thoughts are and the questions we have after watching the movie. This movie got a really solid rating from the Horror Junkies, and it really makes the viewer think and pay attention. And... the Horror Junkies are back, well two of us are back this week. Austin and Angel had some things come up so it was up to Mike and Patrick to talk about what movies they would remake or create a sequel to if Hollywood, was to just give them a blank check and say go wild. Which is probably the scariest thing you could do with Patrick and Mike.
First, Patrick dives into the news surrounding the Horror world and was there a lot of it. We talked about Amityville The Awakening was pushed back once again, which in our opinion is great because they can just stop with that story line. Another awesome piece of news that has been floating around is that the Director of IT made the children on set cry. Sounds mean, but when you think about it, those tears need to be real to really capture the essence of fear. On a bit of a sad not M. Night Shyamalan Tales from the Crypt has finally been cancelled, which is truly sad because of the hype it was getting, but one door closes and another opens. It was announced that Midnight Society Returns for "Are You Afraid of the Dark" fan film for this Halloween. Bringing up Halloween Horror Nights 27, the website has an image with a skull surrounded by roses and candles with the phrase "All Our Times Will Come", which make Mike think that the Host this year may be some variation of DEATH, but who knows. We will continue to bring more news and announcements as we get them.
On this week's Versus we decided to dig up some graves and bring the dead back to the living. Two Masters of Horror were chose this week: Alfred Hitchcock and Wes Craven. Which we believe would be an epic battle of monsters styled like Yo-Gi-Oh! duel and they would throw scripts of their monsters at each other until the other was cast into the Shadow Realm. The Twitter poll gave the fight to Wes Craven at 59% and poor old deteriorated Alfred Hitchcock with 41%, but if you know the Horror Junkies, we never go with our polls.

On this week's episode of the Horror Junkies, we decided to take a trip back through memory land and talk about all those cartoons that kept us up at night. Shows such as: Courage the Cowardly Dog, Ahh Real Monsters, Scooby Doo, Spawn, and of course The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. These were the shows that made a huge impact on us as kids and lured us the world of Horror.
As usual we start the show off with the news and its been a busy week in the Horror World. Halloween Horror Nights 27 has announced that The Shinning will be making an appearance this year. Also are good friend "Barry", definnitely not Austin, gave us an inside scoop that there could be a Saw Legacy House this year. In other news the 30th Anniversary of Evil Dead 2 is coming up and they are releasing the soundtrack of the movie on vinyl, so be sure to check that out when the time comes.
On the Versus segment this week we chose Invader Zim and GIR to go up against the infamous Rick and Morty, in which could possibly be the best match up in the cartoon universe. Of course we ran a Twitter poll and Rick and Morty took the show with a whomping 59%, defeating Zim and GIR and taking over their base.

Hello, Horror Fiends. The Horror Junkies are back and once again we are joined with are good friend Jake to discuss the Alien Franchise. We did something weird and decided to record our episode at night in Mike's backyard, and it definitely complemented the topic of today's show.
Patrick dives into the Horror News Room and brings up some excellent announcements in our world. First up is the trailer release of Castlevania, coming to Netflix July 7th. The intro to this trailer is among one of the coolest intro's to ever happen. We are shown an original Nintendo system and that classic red Castlevania cartilage and an old school Tv. Castlevania is going to be an animated series and that deals with "the last surviving member of a disgraced clan fights to save Eastern Europe from Dracula". The Tales from the Crypt TV series is getting a complete box set on DVD and is expected to hit selves June 20th. Also announced was that the new Godzilla movie will have practical effects, which really gets all of our veins pumping, as we always say "Bring Back The Monsters", so we are all looking forward to see some Monster Creation images coming soon. And lastly, Universal released the title for the shared universe of monster movies is “Dark Universe” and they introduced the logo and musical theme composed by Danny Elfman.
On this week's Versus segment we chose The Creeper from Jeepers Creepers and The Crawlers from The Descent to fight in Space. The twitter poll had The Creeper wining at 54% and The Crawlers at 46%. We all debated and decided that due to their horde like attacks and the confined space of the ship would be so much of an advantage for The Crawlers.

It will be very interesting to see how everyone prepares for the day of death. Ghosted released a trailer which goes from normal to paranormal very quickly. Also, we are getting a Vampire Found Footage film called They Live Among Us, and the trailer documents a "Vampire Hive". The most shocking news is that we are getting a continuation of the Michael Myers story line from David Gordon and Danny McBride. We decided to allow Angel to get crazy and let him discuss one of his conspiracy theories on the show and he brought up Nephilims, which are giant people, that are apparently the offspring of "Sons of Gods" and the "Daughters of Men". Things got really weird during this new segment, but the decision rests with you, the listeners... Do giant people exist? Finally, we go to the most anticipated segment on our show: Versus. This week we had every Horror fans dream battle; Jason Voorhees against Michael Myers. The Twitter poll put Jason in the lead with 68% and poor Michael with a whomping 36%. It's not a shocker that Jason has the advantage because of his brute like appearance, but Michael brings a sense of stealth to the battle. The Horror Junkies discussed it and we came to a conclusion. If this was a face to face battle, Jason would win due, ultimately, to his reach with his weapon. Michael Myers uses a kitchen knife and would have to get up close and personal, whereas Jason can just hack and slash from a distance. On this week's episode, Mike and Patrick are the only two in the studio. We had no idea where or what happened to Angel and Austin, so if you see them take a picture and use the hashtag WheresAustinandAngel, so we can make fun of them, but nonetheless the show must go on.
In the news portion of the show, nothing was really happening, which is a shocker because usually there is so much news, we have to shift through all of it to determine what we want to talk about. However, we did find some interesting topics to mention. First up is the latest trailer release of It Comes At Night, featuring a locked Red Door, and some pretty intense scenes. It Comes At Night is set to hit theaters June 9th. On the more independent side of Horror, this past weekend was the Overlook Film Festival and one movie there won the award for being the Scariest Film. Of course we are talking about Still/Born, created by the man behind Grave Encounters Brandon Christensen. We literally no nothing about this movie, but if you win this award, you have our attention. This week on Horror History, was again nothing to major. We have the 1960 release of The Two Faces of Dr. Jekyll directed by Terence Fisher, and the 1966 release of The Vulture directed by Lawrence Huntington.
Earlier in the week we watched two amazing independent movies; one called Another Evil directed by Carson D. Mell and The Transfiguration directed by Michael O'Shea. Another Evil is a comedy/Horror that to Patrick and I seems like the Clerks of Horror movies. This movie focuses on the dialogue more than anything. Which is awesome, because when it comes to ghost movies, they tend to focus on the Fear Factor, rather than the actual script. Another Evil will be available on VOD May 5, 2017 and currently has an 90% on Rotten Tomatoes, so be sure to give it a watch and prepare yourself for a different kind of horror movie.
The next movie we watched was Michael O'Shea's debut film The Transfiguration. Taking place in the projects of New York City, and follows a troubled individual named Milo, who has a pretty bad obsession with Vampire lore. Straight from the beginning this movie captures your attention. Milo played by Eric Ruffin, is a very closed and awkward kid. Literally even he way he walks and runs is weird, but these elements add so much to the film. The Transfiguration is unlike any movie we've seen before. It's coming out on VOD on August 8th, and currently has an 83% on Rotten Tomatoes, which we feel is a little to low for this movie. On this week's episode of the Horror Junkies Podcast our host Mike is vacationing to Spain, so we decided that the best topic to discuss would be about horror movies that take place on vacation. The discussion begins with us talking about what Vacation Horror means to us and what are go to horror movies are within this genre.
During our news segment Patrick, dug deep into the news reel to find out what's happening in the Horror Culture. First up on the chopping block. Alien Day is here finally and with that came a plethora of awesome news about the anticipated Alien: Covenant (May 19, 2017). There we numerous streams of the original movies, as well as interviews from the cast and crew. Also released were a new ling of Funko Pop figures, that include two different variations of Xenomorphs. Also announced, M. Night Shyamalan gave us the title to the sequel of Unbreakable and Split, Glass, which is going to coming to us hopefully in 2019. And unfortunately, the Horror world lost an iconic director, Jonathan Demme. The director of the truly terrifying Crime/Thriller Silence of the Lambs. In the Indie world, Camera Obscura directed by Aaron B. Koontz, starting Christopher Denham (Shutter Island & Argo) will be hosting its final screening at the Enzian Theater tomorrow Thursday 27th at 915. Camera Obscura is a movie about a young man who gets a pre-World War II camera from his fiancé. He was formerly a war photographer who has been experiencing PTSD. In our Horror History segment show it was time to look into what the hell happened on this day in the world of Horror. First up, the 1953 Mark of the Vampire, directed by Tod Browning, starring Lionel Barrymore as Professor Zelin. Another film was release this day is the 1956 third adaptation in the Creature from the Black Lagoon series titled The Creature Walks Among Us, directed by John Sherwood. We also have some other death's in the Horror world. Broderick Crawford passed away at the age of 74 and Louis Peraino, producer of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, passed away at the age of 59.
On this week's Versus segment, we took the beloved Griswald Family and put them up against The Strangers. The Twitter polls were super close with have the Griswald's at 42% and The Strangers at 58%. We all deiced that the Griswald's would try their best to survive The Strangers, but would suffer heavy casualties, in this weeks match. Shout out to all the people who voted this week and gave us their responses.
We introduced a new segment this week called "What did we Watch". Where we try to guess each others movies, based on some criteria we came up with. But it didn't work out as we hoped, because we chose hard movies to guess. So we are going to restructure the segment.
This week we watched two movies to review Phoenix Forgotten directed by Justin Barber and we also watched Pool Party Massacre directed by Drew Marvick. If you have yet to watch this go do yourself a favor.

After the show, we had our first ever Horror Junkies Exclusive Interview. We had the pleasure of talking to Robert and Rebecca from American Ghost Adventures join us on the show for a quick interview, before we turned off the lights to try and talk to ghost. When we turned off the lights, things started getting a bit more intense. American Ghost Adventures, had EMF detectors, flash lights, and a device called a REM Pod, that has an antenna sticking out from the base, which gives off a loud noise if anything comes in contact.
After about an hour of walking around in the dark, we had our first encounter. In the room called the Library, a flashlight turned on and then turned off. We made contact, or tried to establish a line of communication, and we found out that this entity was called Max. Our host Mike would become overwhelmed with emotion and also become very cold. It's not doubt that something happened last night, but what was actually there is beyond us.

This week the Horror Junkies got together in an old building in Downtown Orlando, to discuss the Paranormal. Unfortunately, Austin couldn't make it to the show this week, but our good friend Jake joined us. Jake is the type of person who carries a VHS copy of ET and Dark Crystal with him, and probably knows more about the ET Franchise than Steven Spielberg. Jake will definitely by back on the show, with more to share with our listeners. On this week's Horror History Mike talks about the Ancient recorded accounts of Ghost sighting starting as far back as 950BC in the book of Samuel.
We didn't have a Versus segment this week, well because we thought it would be kind of ridiculous to have to ghost fight each other, because they would never die. So in it's place we decided to have an interview with Robert and Rebecca from American Ghost Adventures (americanghostadventures.com) on a separate show. While we were doing our show, we started to hear noises coming from the building, which added to our experience at The Great Escape Room, after hours. Today in Horror History, we found out that there was a 1979 Horror release titled Nosferatu the Vampyre directed by Werner Herzog, surprising enough, this movie has an 94% on Rotten Tomatoes. Also released was the 1940 Black Friday, directed by Arthur Lubin, and start Boris Karloff.
In our Versus segment we pitted The Thing (1982) against Grant (Slither) in probably the grossest sounding fight you can imagine. We won't go any further in saying who we thought would win, your just going to have to listen and find out.

On this week's episode, the Horror Junkies are joined by two guest: Alex and Sarah.
