Short Story Today is a podcast designed to celebrate the modern short story, and to introduce listeners to writers, old and new. It's all about spreading the love for this enduring and satisfying literary form. While it is intended as a source of useful information and a way to learn, it will steer clear of academic discussions and focus instead on the ways in which great literature can enhance our lives. Each episode is devoted to a single story and author, and features an audiobook-style reading of the story. Additional content includes background information about the author, and personal reactions and observations from the host and his occasional guests.
