Music, Philosophy, Science, Politics, the Paranormal, you get it. All with strong undertones of political apathy. This show is part of my quest for knowledge and understanding, with an occasional shot or two taken at some sacred cows, of course.
Deception is bad, especially the kind that will probably lead to armageddon. It also sucks when people knowingly lie to push a narrative that could very well be true. Stop lying and start questioning the people who do.
I'm further exploring a theological conundrum. There seems to be an ongoing debate in the catholic church about the nature of the afterlife. This is the first I've really heard about it and there isn't too much information available (at least on the free side of things, where most of my research is done). So let's talk a little more about corruptionism and what some Thomists believe happens to (or doesn't happen to) the person after death.

Today I discuss some current events that occurred in my absence, my continued disdain for politics, and some hard-to-accept concepts about death from Doctor of the Church, St. Thomas Aquinas.
So if you find my stumbling through deep existential topics, that are often beyond my level of intellect, entertaining, you will enjoy the second half of the show.

In lieu of apocalyptic current events, I decided to talk about a religious relic that is rather enigmatic but also inspires hope. I'm talking, of course, about the shroud of Turin. I'm considering reading even further about this religious relic so this may be part 1 of a several-part series.
Today I talk a little about C.S. Lewis's "Screwtape Letters" and its similar themes to the direction of the show.
I also discuss self-improvement and political avoidance.

Dealing with the transition from bachelor to father isn't easy. Today I talk about this life change, with reference to the Baron of Grogzwig and his battle with the Genius of Despair and Suicide.
Today I completely avoid the madness of politics and current events for the sake of discussing madness itself. This episode is heavily focused on Dickens' "Manuscript of a Madman."
I briefly explore the nature vs. nurture arguments of the origin of psychopathy, and how this contributes to the ideas of theism vs. atheism.
This leads me to look at the similarities between mental disorders and demonic possession, and the fallout of making deals with the devil.
This is the most work I have put into an episode in a while so hopefully, it isn't terrible.

Continuing the Dickens theme today is the lesson to remain optimistic and cheerful or you will be beaten by goblins. However, even if you heed this warning, you may still be beaten by the police.
Today is pretty much just my analysis of a rather short story by Charles Dickens called "The Lawyer and the Ghost." It turns out there's a lot more packed into this story than it seems, and contains one of my favorite phrases: "Hey, I never thought about it that way."
I'm reluctantly back on Facebook. Although I plan to use it sparingly, well differently than before at least. I'm not a big fan of social media and what it has done to me and society as a whole.
The movie, Don't Look Up, definitely hammers that point and other poignant criticisms of society. I talk a little about that and its implications. It definitely captures the panic and fear that many people are living in today, except there's a slightly more legitimate reason in the movie for panic.
Also, I'm reading ghost stories by Charles Dickens. I don't really know why yet, but as with Dracula, there tends to be some kind of important message or principles in good writing.
Today I'm joined by returning guest to the show, Steve. We had a very compelling conversation about the most important job that both of us have, fatherhood.
I finally did it. Over the last few months, I have hovered over the delete button on my facebook account and wondered what it would be like. Well, now I know. A few days ago I pressed the button and I don't think I will be turning back. Today's show is just a brief analysis of why this was a good decision, the potential fallout, and future plans involving my documentation of how life has changed since this decision.
