Galatians 3:13-15 Gospel Freedom will lead to fulfillment in the life of the believer, but it doesn't give us freedom to sin. It gives us freedom to live for Jesus and experience the joy of walking with Him.
Revelation 22:20-21 It should be our prayer that Jesus will return soon. This is a certain promise. Until Jesus does return He has made provision for us to be sustained by His amazing grace!
Many people have diverse ideas about the purpose of the church. Sadly, many of those same people think their idea is the only one that counts. Let's look at various scriptures to see what God says about this.
In this chaotic world, Jesus is stil the King. He is moving history along the path to fulfill His plan. Some things seem frightening. Take courage! Look to Jesus! He has already won the war! Those who oppose Him will not win! Surrender to Jesus today! Psalm 2
The Christian life is filled with the joy of our salvation and with the glorious blessings of the gospel. However, there are always people who will come along and try to complicate the gospel and deceive us into adding other things to the gospel. We must watch out and steer clear of such teaching.

Grace vs. Law - Issac vs. Ishmael Galatians 4:21-31 Humans are always tempted to go back toward the law, but we must live in grace. Grace is not a license to sin,but it is the way to freedrom from sin.
Far too often we do not gaze upon the greatness of our God. It is vital that we look to Him and expect Him to do God-sized things in our lives.

Galatians 4:12-20 Spiritual leaders who truly love their congregation grieve when they succumb to false teaching. Today we explore the pain that occurs in a pastor's heart and mind when the congregation forsakes grace and goes back to legalism.
Justification by Faith – The Sentimental Argument Galatians 4:12-20
I. Paul Exhorts the Galatians to Become As He Is a. Paul left the legalistic system of the Jewish law to bring the gospel to the Gentile Galatians. For I have also become like you. b. Paul became like the Galatians in being free from the law. He now desires for them to become like Him in being free from legalistic bondage. II. He reminds them of the good relationship they had. You did me no wrong. a. Paul had become ill and had to stay in Galatia longer than he expected. b. In this section Paul’s depth of love for the Galatians is strongly evident. c. Paul saw the false sincerity of the false teachers. d. Zeal for the wrong thing. III. Paul’s Deep Concern for and Perplexity about the Galatians (vv.19-20) a. He was not like them. He still loved them even though they had grown cold toward him in his absence. b. Faithful ministers long for their spiritual children to have Christ formed in them. c. Christ is not fully formed in people until they are brought from trusting in their own righteousness and come to fully rely on Jesus and His righteousness. d. Though ministers too often find it necessary to reprove those they have to do with, yet this is no grateful work to them; they had much rather there was no occasion for it, and are always glad when they can see reason to change (Matthew Henry)

Justification by Faith – The Singing God Zephaniah 3:14-17 I. The Lord has taken away His disciplining hand. (v. 15) a. Judgements against God’s people b. Freedom from their enemies. c. his prophecy finds its fulfillment in Jesus. II. The King of Israel is in your midst. (v. 15) a. This glorious promise looks ahead to Jesus, the King of Israel. (John 1:49). b. This promise looks ahead to the incarnate Glory of God in their midst. (Ex. 26; John 1:14 – Jesus tabernacling III. He will rejoice over you with gladness sings over His people(v. 17) a. This magnificent delight is grounded in the character of God who delights in steadfast love (Micah 7:18). b. God is so happy in the love that He bears to His people that He breaks the eternal silence, and sun and moon and stars with astonishment hear God chanting a hymn of joy. – Charles Spurgeon c. Certain people groups have a tradition in which a certain song is sung by the bridegroom when he receives his bride. d. married to His church and rejoices in her so much that he breaks out into loud singing. IV. He will quiet you by His love (v.17) a. God’s love brings rest and refreshment to our weary souls. b. Quiet you can also be translated as is quiet or rests. c. God has been described as the Warrior who is might to save. This former war cry has now been quieted by His victory and the loving relationship God has between Him and His people. d. The purging and transforming work of grace that the Lord has accomplished creates a renewed people who recognize and confess God’s rule. e. The redeemed people of God trust in His name.

In John 3:3 and Ezekiel 36:26 the glorious doctrine of regeneration is taught. In today's lesson we look at regeneration and the ordo salutis (order of salvation). Salvation begins with God. It is my (Pastor Michael's) prayer that all of us will praise God for His grace and mercy in having the Holy Spirit to draw us to Jesus.
In Hebrews 12:10 we learn that God has a purpose for our trials. He disciplines us in order to prepare us for the multitude of blessings He has prepared for us. While some of these blessings occur in this life, many of them will be realized in the next life. Dig into the Word of God with us and let us be encouraged.

In the church today I see many people who want to promote their ideas for worship and church structure, but they do so while minimizing the giftings and inclinations of others. Always be respectful of others, but don't let them make you quit singing your song. Be the person God called you to be!

The most glorious gifts God gives to His church are people. Tonight in our Wednesday Bible Study we look at Ephesians 4:11-13 and see the five types of people God has given to the church to equip us and help us grow into Christlikeness.
Far too often Christians settle for pop theology and for feel-good platitudes. If we will read the Bible and not pull verses out of their context we will reap far more glorious blessings than when we prooftext and try to make it conform to our whims. Today we look at Jeremiah 29:10-14 and focus on verse 11. We will see a glorious application that will deeply bless us and help us as we face difficult seasons.

We live in a world filled with misinformation, doubt, hate, and fear. Far too often the church has either retreated from the fight or has tried to fight in its own power. Truth and holiness are vita and must be proclaimed, but they will not win the day without a proper vision of Christ and His mission, presence, and priestly work on our behalf.

Allen Diaz challenges the youth to not let anyone look down on their youthfulness, but to press on toward the goal of being mature in the faith. Allen's text is 1 Timothy 4:12. His message is a helpful exhortation to people of all ages. Allen shared this message at our youth led worship service on April 18, 2021.
We cannot worship God any way we desire. He has given us acceptable ways to worship HIm. He is holy as well as kind and merciful. While true worship can consist of many forms and expressions, we must make sure we are worshipping God in Spirit and in truth.

In Matthew 18:16-20 we learn that Jesus has given His church the authority and the power to make disciples. Making disciples is how the church is built. Disciples are not formed overnight. It takes time, dedication, and commitment on the part of the one doing the discipling and the one receiving the discipling.
The Church is important. Jesus died for her. However, many who profess to love Christ get more excited about churc programs and events and forget the Savior who is supposed to be the emphasis of these things.
