With a deep connection to my intuition since birth, in the spring of 2020, I decided to trust it on a whole other level to end an abusive relationship. I began healing by reconnecting with arts, crafts, dance, and music. This process led to an idyllic new home in the country, inspiration for my life purpose, and a decision to Choose To Play Big!

In this episode, I'm co-creating with the awe-inspiring Lee Collver-Richards. Lee shares her thoughts on intuition and how it relates to self-care and self-love. We recorded the episode on Valentine's day, so the theme of love seemed an appropriate focus. Lee was incredible. It is definitely a must-listen episode!
Lee is a versatile, engaging actor, author, and teacher with a creative spirit and exuberance in all manner of collaborative artistry and scientific discovery. She lives on California's Central Coast with her partner of nearly 40 years. She is a co-founder of the Melrose Avenue Magnet School in Los Angeles (2009); a research fellow of the Peace Academy of the Sciences and Arts in San Luis Obispo (2017); and curriculum designer for the SSS Ananda Van community school in northern India (2021).
She is a proponent of adopting a beginner's mindset toward all endeavors, creations, and the development of continual wonder, gratitude, and fierce compassionate stewardship for humanity’s greatest teacher, the natural world, Planet Earth, Mother Gaia, now and consistently.

Welcome to a new year and new season of the Choose To Play Big podcast! In this episode, I look at what it means to choose to play big in life. I cover what led me on this path to create my new offerings, where I took risks and found myself supported by the universe.

In this episode, I delve once again into the realm of shadow work. I talk about a time in my early childhood where I lived in the same room as a dark entity and how I finally cleared the fear around it this week. I found the whole process powerful and transformative. It had such an impact on me that I had to share the clearing process I went through in case it supports others who have gone through similar experiences and still have residual trauma. We are both shadow and light, and so are dark entities if we dare to go looking for that seed of light within them.

In this episode, I delve into the realm of shadow work. I was recently stung by a horsefly, and I was determined to heal it naturally. However, I also had to heal some emotional and spiritual wounds from this life and a previous one. In my past life, I grew up in a DUMB. I was ignoring a shadow aspect from that time that was ready to come home and reintegrate. This sting was a reminder to face her and welcome her back.

In this episode, I'm diving deep into the most controversial and personal subject I've ever shared in the public arena. It is a double whammy. I'm comparing the 15 signs that you might be in an abusive relationship chart by the Workplace Mental Health Institute between my personal story of spousal abuse and a case study of abuse coming from society at large: the pandemic.
I know this is a hot topic, and I know this will split the room and test personal relationships. This topic has been on my mind for months, and I'm finally ready to talk about it, even though it might come at a cost.
I ask that even if you disagree with me on the pandemic, that you use the format and the comparison method I'm using to apply it to another issue. I do not believe this is the only outlet that societal abuse has expressed itself. I want this to be the message I leave you with: we are all sufferers of relentless systemic abuse. How much are you going to take until you say NO?

In this episode, I focus on life and talk about the tendency to avoid stillness and how stillness, silence, and solitude are moments of sovereignty.
Silence used to be my friend, but this changed when I left my ex and began living alone. It became hard as I was now facing what I denied in the past, and so stillness brought up more to the surface. I finally have the time to heal not just from my ex but also from my father. So with decades of trauma to work through, stillness became an uncomfortable space.

In this episode, I explain why I am transitioning away from my "successful" technology career towards a creative natural life. I also cover why creativity and nature are so important to reconnect with, as modern-day living cuts us off from these essential aspects of our being.
