Colour fastness is very important properties of textile materials. When we wash our textile products then after a certain period of time the colour changes. This property is called the fastest properties of the textile garments. The colour goes out under several kinds of applications like light, rubbing, wash, perspiration and many more. Wash fastness is the very common fastness properties that must be taste because when we wear fabric then we must wash the garments and in that way, it loses its colour. So, what is the rate of losing the colour under certain conditions that must be clarified and tested under certain conditions. So there are several standard of testing and in this video tutorial I have explained about this fastness properties testing elaborately and I hope you will have the basic idea about colour fastness properties and some aspects of its testing.

Crimp is very important properties of textile woven fabric. In a woven fabric, you'll always have an amount of crimp percentage as it is made with weaving or interlacing technique. It is expressed in percentage all the time. Another important issue of woven fabric is take up. Take up is the collecting of fabric which is newly formed by a roller called cloth roller. So, there is a connection between these two. If you just want to relate these two terms crimp percentage and take a percentage, you can see a difference. In this tutorial, I have discussed about that difference and in mathematically, I have shown how they are interrelated. Shrinkage is very important properties of textile materials especially for the knit fabric that needs to be tested with shrinkage testing. After washing the fabric shrinks. This is a problem for the dimensional stability of the fabric. So, we need to consider the shrinkage level of the fabric and we must maintain it at a tolerable level. For knit fabric like sports garments it is very common problem and if shrinkage is high then the fabric dimension is not stable that's why it is not good looking to wear. And the consumer doesn’t want to wear that fabric or garments. So here in this tutorial I have explained what is shrinkage and how to test shrinkage and what are the factors behind the shrinkage and how to minimise and control the shrinkage of the fabric. The aesthetic properties of any fabric is really important to many of us. If we can know the aesthetic properties or handle properties of the fabric that we can have a better idea about any fabric before going to purchase or using for ultimate consumption. There is no such a tool to analyse or to quantify the value of handle properties of a fabric.
That's why at least two systems have been developed by concerning some other related factors of handle properties so that we can have a better idea about handle properties. By incorporating all the properties in the techniques of FAST (Fabric Assurance by Simple Testing) and KES (Kawabata Evaluation System). We can have a quantifiable below and why this value I can easily decide about the handle property of the fabric in terms of numerical expression. And in this tutorial, I have explained about these two techniques and how these techniques are working in quantifying handle properties of fabric. In this channel I am continuously sharing some videos tutorial related to Fabric structure and design study. I am going to the fancy weave structure. today I am in the last part of this chapter and here I shall discuss about the crepe weave. Crepe is a one kind of irregular effect which can be achieved in a fabric by arranging the yarn and in some specific way. we can achieve it creap in in at least four ways and out of these I have discussed about three techniques. When we incorporate some design in our readymade garments then it is looking so attractive to the buyers and it's wearer. for this reason design and it into operation is very important in textile application. Weave is the combination of yarn to make a fabric. the main structure of the fabric basically composed of two sets of yarn. by combining these two sets and their interlacement we get the fabric which is called the woven fabric. but in a woven fabric we can make several decoration by incorporating the coloured yarn. when colour is being implemented with the interlacement of year we can have several low creative and decorative design and this affects is creating several kinds of effect like houndstooth or dogs tooth, Shepherd check, birds eye, crows foot, hair lines or pin stripe. we can arrange this two and can get such kind of design in this video I have explained. In fabric manufacturing There are several techniques that's why we can see the variations in the fabric we are using for many purposes. most important variation of the saree which is the common cloth of the Bangladesh women is the jamdani saree. and in this saree there is a special technique used which is called implementation of extra thread which is making a design on the face of the saree. this technique is called the figuring with extra thread. if you just want to implement some design decoration in the face of the fabric that we can use the extra thread for implementing the design and the ground plate for making the best fabric. in this tutorial I have explained in detail about this technique their advantages and disadvantages with classification.

Weave basically means the interlacement of that is two sets of yarn like warp and weft yarn.
