This episode we cover some tips and word tracks to help you create more opportunities and close more deals.

First, it's important to avoid using phrases like "sorry to bother you" or "I know you're busy." These phrases make you seem weak and unsure of yourself, which can damage your credibility. Instead, be confident and assertive in your communication.

Second, it's important to get to the point quickly and clearly. Don't waste time with small talk or fluff. State your purpose for contacting the person and what you hope to achieve.

Third, it's important to focus on the benefits of your product or service. What problems will it solve for the person? How will it make their life easier or better?

Fourth, it's important to be prepared to answer any questions the person may have. Do your research and know your product inside and out.

Finally, it's important to not be afraid to ask for the sale. If you've done your job well, the person will be more likely to say yes.

Of course, no sales conversation is perfect. But by following these tips, you can improve your chances of closing more deals.

Making the most out of your marketing dollars is the name of the game. What is an open loop, and what is a closed loop system concerning marketing? This video discusses how data-driven strategies and closed-loop systems empower businesses to optimize their marketing dollars and ensures invaluable feedback. This is why our software is a closed-loop system compared to an open-loop that leaves you guessing where your money is going and if it's worth spending on marketing.

Discover how closed-loop systems create a seamless feedback loop, allowing marketers to collect, analyze, and utilize data to inform their marketing decisions. With a closed-loop system, you'll learn how to refine your campaigns, target the right audience, and achieve a better return on investment (ROI). Without an efficient feedback process, open-loop systems confuse you and potentially waste resources. By leveraging customer insights and measurable metrics, you can fine-tune your marketing strategies and adapt them in real-time to drive tangible results.

Many people feel like happiness is a state that comes to you when life is good. That some people are just happy, and some are not. If you're a depressed person, that's because you're unlucky and have a bad life, and you should just accept it. Maybe you'll get lucky one day and happiness will come to you. Well, if you think like that, you're wrong. Happiness isn't something your given, it's something you earn. It's a state of mind that you have to choose to be happy and fight for it.

"Fighting" and "happiness" generally don't go in the same sentence, but in this case, it's something that you need to make a conscious decision about and push as hard as you can to keep that state of mind. This podcast goes over some tactics we use to maintain a state of happiness. How you can take steps today, even if you're in a crappy mood, to push towards happiness.

We're not happy with the outside world around us, or we simply feel that the negative forces don't apply to us...so we ignore it. We hear only what we want to hear and push away the rest. It seems like today's culture is to get answers with little to no work. When a problem arises, often we turn to someone that might help and announce the problem, assuming they have the answer. This podcast we breakdown that mindset and ask you to take it one step further. Assume there is nobody to help, and try to figure out how to solve your problem. Or at least think of possible solutions...basically take the next step. It's a great way to become more independent and prove value to people that manage you. The last thing they want is problems shoved in their face. If you can be a dependable person that knows how to be a problem solver, you'll win every time.

Nike said it best, "Just Do It."  So many times in life we miss out on living because we're afraid. Yes, afraid. Not fear of dying, but fear of looking foolish or fear of failing. When you break down these fears, they really are meaningless. The best lessons in life are learned through failures. If people "won" every time they did something, it simply wouldn't be fun. Having multiple failures in your life could mean that you're simply challenging yourself more than others. To that person I say, "keep it up."

This podcast breaks down this mindset and gives some really good tips on how to overcome this fear.

If the sound of artificial intelligence (AI) scares you, or maybe you  think it doesn't apply to your business, you might want to reconsider. There was this little invention in the 80's that had businesses saying the same thing, "This internet thing won't effect me." Well, it did...and still does. The only difference is that its going to become mainstream a lot faster than the internet did because consumers are getting more accustomed to technology.

So what do you need to do to prepare? That's simple. This podcast goes over several different steps you can take to start to understand and develop the ideas around how you can integrate AI into your world, work and personal.

Sometimes the why is better than the what or who. We started this podcast because marketing is a glorified way of story telling. We have a lot of experience about marketing that we wanted to share...and we love what we do, so we could talk about it all day. That's why we started creating the videos. We opened it up to other businesses because there are a lot of great companies that have interesting stories that the world has no idea about. We thought it would be compelling to offer our podcast services to let them tell their story, and it has been quite satisfying.

"Getting Ghosted" is generally referred to as when starting a conversation with someone and they all-of-a-sudden stop responding to you. After repeated attempts, the person "ghosting" has vanished and is no longer communicating with you.  In business this sometimes happens in the sales cycle. A prospect initiates the conversation based on a problem they have that they think your business can solve.

The easy answer when they stop communicating is, "I guess they didn't want to buy."  But in business, it's important that we try to get better feedback, and not in a way that is intrusive, but in a way that keeps the conversation alive about, "do you still have this problem?" This feedback is important because it can do several things to help your business grow,
1 - It might open up new windows of problems that you didn't know that your product could solve.
2 - Provide valuable insight into how your marketing is perceived to prospects. You might want to make some adjustments in the messaging if this perception is consistent.
3 - You might uncover some holes in your internal processes and sales cycle. Maybe follow-up messaging is wrong, or not fast enough.

The bottom line is that when getting "ghosted" you should always dig a little deeper.

"I ain't afraid of no ghost!"

Placebo usually is a term generally used to describe the usage of "fake" pills to study the effects against patients using the "actual" pills.  Both parties think they are getting the medication, allowing scientist to uncover the mental aspects of taking something verses the actual effects the drugs have.

The study referenced is Wright, Scott A. & da Costa Hernandez, José Mauro & Sundar, Aparna & Dinsmore, John & Kardes, Frank R., 2013. Halloween season brings out all of the scary things, including horror movies. Paramount released "Smile" that is now playing in theaters everywhere.

Wikipedia describes the movie as: Smile is a 2022 American psychological horror film written and directed by Parker Finn (in his feature directorial debut), based on his 2020 short film Laura Hasn't Slept. The film stars Sosie Bacon, Jessie T. Usher, Kyle Gallner, Caitlin Stasey, Kal Penn and Rob Morgan. The plot follows a therapist who appears to be losing her mind after witnessing a bizarre traumatic event involving a patient.

The marketing strategy used stand-in actors to sit in at MLB games strategically placed where they would be in the background view of cameras (ie: behind home plate).  These actors had the blank stare and smile that is synonymous with the victims in the movie. They also wore neon green/yellow shirts with the logo "smile" on the front.

Lydia opened Northshore Academy of Dance in 1995 with the dream of sharing her passion and knowledge of dance through discipline, positive reinforcement, and a genuine care for the students and families she was blessed to work with. It was her goal to encourage every student to find their personal love for dance and to utilize the skills she had to offer not just in the studio, but in everyday life, as individuals learning to make choices, deciding on priorities, and shaping a future for their mental and physical health. Lydia has successfully created a means of making a difference through the art of dance in these last 25 years!

Lydia’s achievements and experience are quite impressive. She has been dancing for over 44 years. Born and raised in Covington, she was always involved in dance within the community and her school. The movie "Field of Dreams" spoke to Kevin Costner's character telling him, "If you build it, they will come." It seems that many companies feel this way about their products, services, and even websites. Simply having a good product, service, and website isn't enough. If consumers do not know they exist, they could be the best in the world, it will still fail.

Marketing isn't necessarily spending money...that's not the fix. The fix is to make sure you find a way to make some noise so people know to look. Marketing 101 is all about starting a conversation based on solving someone's problems.

So if you have the greatest product in the world...congratulations. Now it's time to get out and tell the world about it. Make some noise and good luck.
