As Christians, it is our heartfelt desire to meditate on scripture each day. The word of God changes and shapes our lives. It gives us hope and strength. Here are some scriptures to think about and ponder as you go throughout your day. Visit us online at trbcoaching.com.
So listen, my son, and be wise. Always be careful to follow the right path. Don’t make friends with people who drink too much wine and eat too much food. Those who eat and drink too much become poor. They sleep too much and end up wearing rags.
Never envy evil people, but always respect the Lord. This will give you something to hope for that will not disappoint you.
My son, it makes me happy when you make a wise decision. It makes me feel good inside when you say the right things.
Always correct children when they need it. If you spank them, it will not kill them. 14 In fact, you might save their lives.
10 Never move an old property line and don’t take land that belongs to orphans. 11 The Lord will be against you. He is powerful and protects orphans.
Wise Saying #8 of 30
Proverbs 23:6 Don’t eat with selfish people. Control any desire you have for their finest foods. 7 They might tell you to eat and drink all you want, but they don’t really mean it. They are the kind of people who are only thinking about the cost. 8 And if you eat their food, you will get sick and be embarrassed.
Matthew 6:19“Don’t save treasures for yourselves here on earth. Moths and rust will destroy them. And thieves can break into your house and steal them. 20Instead, save your treasures in heaven, where they cannot be destroyed by moths or rust and where thieves cannot break in and steal them. 21Your heart will be where your treasure is.
When you sit and eat with an important person, remember who you are with. Never eat too much, even if you are very hungry. Don’t eat too much of his fine food. It might be a trick.
"Skilled workers will always serve kings. They will never have to work for less important people."

"Don’t promise to pay someone else’s debt. If you cannot pay, you will lose everything you have. So why should you lose the bed you sleep on?" Proverbs 22 ERV

"I will praise you, Lord, because you rescued me. You did not let my enemies laugh at me. Lord, my God, I prayed to you, and you healed me. A good man says good things. These come from the good that is stored up in his heart. An evil man says evil things. These come from the evil that is stored up in his heart. A person’s mouth says everything that is in their heart. Luke 6:45 NIRV
What is in your heart?
"So let us never stop offering to God our praise through Jesus. Let us talk openly about our faith in him. Then our words will be like an offering to God. Don’t forget to do good. Don’t forget to share with others. God is pleased with those kinds of offerings." Hebrews 13:15-16 NIRV
Do you feel like you can openly and freely talk about your faith? How about doing good to others?
Psalms 46 tells us to "be still and know that I am God". Are you still in your quiet times alone with God?
"Great blessings belong to those who don’t listen to evil advice, who don’t live like sinners, and who don’t join those who make fun of God. Instead, they love the Lord’s teachings and think about them day and night. So they grow strong, like a tree planted by a stream—" Psalms 1:1-3 ERV
What do you think about each day? The three things that distract us the most are noise, hurry, and crowds. Will you take just a moment to listen to God?
When you meditate on scripture, be in a quiet place. Read it, ponder it, and pray about it. It is that simple. Let God speak to you through his word daily.
