Ben Shapiro is a multi-Emmy Award-winning television audio engineer specializing in live sports broadcasts. In addition to his work in television, Shapiro owns a web development and technology consulting company. He began his career working in the broadcast department at Empire City Casino in Yonkers, New York, and advanced within the company until 2012, when he decided to pursue his lifelong dream of self-employment. Since then, he has broadcast games for each of New York’s major sports teams, as well as major broadcast such as the Super Bowl, World Series, NBA Finals, Stanley Cup Finals, The Masters, and the US Open. Shapiro has traveled throughout the country for sporting events and TV shows including “American Ninja Warrior,” “Ultimate Beastmaster” and “Spartan Ultimate Team Challenge.” A career highlight was working at both the 2016 and 2018 Olympic Games.

On the web development side, we build websites from scratch (designing them ourselves, or accepting designs from the client). We also assume responsibility for quite a few sites that were developed by someone else and can make updates, perform preventative and routine maintenance and build out new features.
As the company name implies, I have a number of clients that use blocks of support hours for consulting services. Clients will call me for recommendations, or to bounce ideas off me and my team. Recently we've started acting as a Managed Services Provider (MSP) to handle remote support for client computers and mobile devices. We're able to help the client institute security policies, mobile device management, and computer best practices, while providing remote support services (remote desktop, remote updates), cloud backups, as well as next-generation AI-based antivirus for threat detection and response.
Brian Nolet is the author of Bobby Lou Badnick, the Christmas Pickle and the soon to be released Furdinand the Fur-dresser. He was born and raised in Baltimore, Md. When not working on children’s stories, Brian spends his time mountain biking, scuba diving, drinking coffee and daydreaming. Brian shares his home with his wife, a very large Doberman, a very small Frenchie, and a Bassett Hound who thinks he is in charge of all of the above.
