Sometimes we are like the Disciples in the Boat, freaking out in the middle of a storm, then Jesus stands up and calms the raging storms in our hearts.
Ephesians 4:26 Says; Be Angry and Sin Not. So how is this even possible? It goes deeper into the heart. We can't do it in our own.
Alot of people like to have a Word for the Year. This Year I chose the Word Listen. I want to take time to listen to God, people and nature more.
Some things we have no choice about, right? Where we were born, who our parents were or race etc. Throughout we do make thousands and maybe π€ millions of choices along the way that lead us to our Destiny and π where God wants π us to be in life π§¬
Sometimes we try to make sense out of tragedy and we can't see any good coming out of it. God π is able to take even horrible and terrible things and turn it for good.
Everyday thousands of thoughts come to our head and alot of them are negative. We can't control what comes in our head, but we can control whether we dwell on a thought or cast it out.
Sometimes we have Peace βοΈποΈ for no reason. The Bible calls it the Peace that Passes Understanding. It is beautiful and amazing π and available to us all the time if we ask.
Psalm 139 says every day of our lives was written in His book before we were even born. He knows every word before we speak and even every thought, before we think. What a comfort and peace this gives as you trust in Him.
Have you ever been so excited about something that you took off and ran? The women ran from the tomb to tell the Disciples that Jesus had risen from the grave. Peter and John then ran to the tomb. What if we had the same Joy to go and run to tell others also π
Scripture is Silent about the Saturday between the Crucifixion and Resurrection. We do know it was the Sabbath. It was a day of rest, but also just have been a day of disillusionment for the Disciples. Sometimes in our own lives, God is Silent, but remember better days are ahead and Sunday's Coming :)
Good Friday is commemorated by Christians all over the world π what would be the darkest day in human history, would turn into the Brightest day on Sunday with the Resurrection.
Maundy Thursday is a day we remember the Last Supper and the night our Lord was betrayed. Judas even asked, Lord is it I ? It is a time for us to search our own hearts and what is really there
Jesus rode into Jerusalem with people waving Palm branches. The same people would be calling for Him to he crucified less than a week later. The path Jesus took was preordained. God also ordains our path before us in our life.
Sometimes in our busyness we can miss what God is saying to us. Mary and Martha are a prime example. Martha was Stressed out, while Mary took time to listen to Jesus
Jesus said in Mathew Chapter 5, also known as the Beatitudes that we are to love others, even when they don't love us. He said if someone strikes us, we are to turn the other cheek. Did he mean that literally or figuratively?
Sometimes when someone is going through a struggle, we still them that we are in the same boat. The Disciples we're in the same boat with Jesus, when a storm broke out. He was crashed out, while they were freaking out. He stood up and calmed everything down just like He does with our lives β€οΈππ
Sometimes we come before the Lord to ask π Him for something. Two questions come to mind, is He Willing and is He able? The answer is, He is bothπ A Leper found that out and was cleansed by Jesus.
Rest is a principle given by God. He even Rested after 6 Days. Resting is for our benefit Resting in Him means relaxing in His Arms and feeling His Peace
Sometimes we go through hard Seasons in life. It seems like they will never end, then a new Season begins. God is with us π through all the Seasons πof life we go through.
It is more than just a 3 Day Weekend. Labor Day is a Day that we acknowledge all the hard workers who serve us and help make America the great country it is.
Sometimes in life we can have this unexplained peace in the mist of chaos and confusion. It comes from God just when we need it.
Halftime us when football teams make adjustments for things that didn't go right the first half. The same is true in life, sometimes we have to adjust to what happens instead of fighting it
