Rose Metcalf was certain she was going to die. She was an entertainer turned hero on the Costa Concordia when it ran aground off the coast of Italy in 2022. Her actions of strength and bravery had us speechless. Rose's story is almost as inspiring as what she's turned her near death experience into. Rose says, "having faced death, I developed a superpower for moving people into action on their dreams." It was an honor to have Rose on the season finale of Total Ship Show!

In season 2 of Total Ship Show I want to show you some other areas of the maritime industry. Not just yachting. We all know that working on the open seas can be extremely dangerous. No one knows that better than Ted Nichols. While sailing as 2nd mate on an oil tanker, Ted was critically injured to the point that he had to be medevacked to a hospital where he was literally minutes away from death. He learned a lot about working on the ship from that experience. Although he doesn't wish what happened upon anyone, he grew immensely in his professionally life from the lessons he took away from it.
