Social disGraces: Recent Episodes
Erin Mullen
On Social disGraces we discuss social issues, spirituality and do a little deconstruction. We share stories from people who have been a part of oppressed or marginalized communities, overcome challenges, or advocated for change. We will often incorporate a faith tie-in and have several topics centered around spiritual issues and religious deconstruction.
Episodes will include topics such as progressive Christianity, religious deconstruction, purity culture, foster care, trauma, mental health, and feminism.
On this podcast we believe in loving thy neighbor, that black lives matter, lgbtq+ rights are human rights, feminism is for everyone and we all deserve a little grace.

In this episode we are joined by a special guest who bravely shares her story about how she went from a 31 year old virgin to embracing and reclaiming her sexuality. This episode was SO much fun and is packed with great insights, hilarious comments and real conversation about purity culture and sexuality. She is well educated, well traveled, bold, outspoken and a survivor of purity culture embracing a healthy heaux phase.

Purity culture, sex therapy
This episode focuses primarily on the topic of adoption - specifically international and interracial adoption from the perspective of an adoptee. We will be talking with Rebeka Jones, who some may know on Instagram by the handle @RebekaInWriting. Rebeka is a writer, mom and adoptee who creates safe spaces for fruitful discussion surrounding topics such as faith deconstruction, adoption, anti-racism, culture and more.

In this episode, we talk with Brad Klausman of @Brad.LifeCoach on Instagram. Brad attended bible college and graduated with his Masters from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He went on to serve in full-time ministry for over 20 years. After taking a deep dive seeking to better understand things and answer some questions he had related to organized religion and the validity of the Bible he ultimately made the decision to leave the church.

In this episode, Guest Jessie Alex shares her personal account of human and sex trafficking in America. Jessie is a survivor or human trafficking and sex trafficking and walks us through more of her story, how she has overcome things and what you can do to help advocate or get help.
Jessie has been through an insurmountable amount of trauma and somehow come out on top of it all. I think her story is so valuable to both raise awareness about sex trafficking that happens right here in America and to offer hope to those who might be struggling with similar traumas in seeing how far she has come and knowing that things can get better.
