Hi All! Congratulations and thank you if you’ve made it this far. In this final episode (we’ll give you a second to wipe your tears of joy and maybe sorrow), we discuss our reflections on our experiences recording a podcast for the first time ever, our opinions about club songs being remixed left right straight and center in retrospect, and just how the journey has been. Breaking away from the established format for previous episodes, here, we have a heart to heart chat about our personal opinions and thoughts about the deteriorating quality of language in remixes, stereotypes  propagated about various Indian states through lyrics, the dominance of Punjabi in every remix club song, and other such relevant themes.

Hi All! In this episode, we discuss how in some of these songs, clubs literally become a gateway for sex, hookup, and alcohol (no judgements, we tried). We look at how male and female characters try to assert their sexuality and presence, interact with each other within these settings, the consequences of these showing such behaviours and interactions, and the saddening homogeneity with which these are expressed. Some welcome exceptions exist, of course!

Hi All! In close relation with perfection, we both noticed that club songs create specific ideas about masculinity and femininity, whether they intend to or not.. We explore various confusing patterns such as why all men and women are so aggressive in these club remix songs, how men don’t really show emotions apart from being confident or horny, and women are there to, well, look sexy and be sexy.

Hi All! From the interiors of the club, to the clothes being worn, the dancing ability of literally everyone in that club to how easy and perfect these songs make clubs look, perfection seems to be all around. Literally, we tried to find reality in this make believe world and struggled to come up with something concrete. So in this episode, we analyze this phenomenon of glamorizing clubs, showing larger than life sets, lights, and experiences, and within it, actors and background dancers who look like they’ve always belonged there.

Hi All! In this episode, we analyse the ‘background’ of the club songs. In this two part episode, we address issues ranging from perhaps why particular songs were chosen to be remixed, what the ‘formula’ for today’s club songs is, and some of the lazy decisions that left songs with unchanged  visuals, context, imagery, etc., from the original to remix. The second part brings to conversation and insight about how any space, from your garage to that South Mumbai club, can become an alcoholic dance haven in Bollywood today and explores the performative element that is so definitive of what the actors are doing in these clubs!
