She believes that if Taiwanese schools are willing to use English as one of the major teaching languages, it will not only help foreign students but also help local students to be English proficient in academia. Adopting English as a second official language is a successful example in her home country. Should Taiwan follow suit? It is a worthwhile question to ask.
