All too often we are quick to initiate prayer to God, but without first acknowledging or appreciating him. This psalm of King David reminds us of the importance of first recognizing and responding to God’s goodness to us in our lives.

We will all experience fear but it's how react to it that matters. David,  as much as anyone else, often felt overwhelmed by fear and it even caused him to not think clearly and make bad decisions. But eventually, he would get his heart right as he focused on God’s promises of protection and would not let go.
