As a mother of 4 kids (2 of them super fussy), she knows what it’s like to “lose yourself” to motherhood. You put everyone’s needs above your own and wonder why you’re tired, exhausted and overwhelmed. Her favorite saying is “The best thing you can give your kids is your own happiness. About Marcy Westcott: Marcy Westcott is a Certified Meditation & Mindfulness Instructor with advanced certification in MMI Mindfulness@Work through the McLean Meditation Institute of Sedona, Arizona and Santa Barbara, California.
Several years ago, after experiencing the effects of long term stress and anxiety, Marcy began to practice meditation. Marcy studied McLean Meditation Institute founder Sarah McLean’s meditation teachings and through them experienced more benefits to her mental, emotional, and physical health. This led her to hear the call to teach. After completing a rigorous 200 hr course culminating with a 50 hr Intensive in Sedona, Arizona, she graduated from the renowned McLean Meditation Teacher Academy. About Sarah Ross: Sarah Ross is an international award-winning speaker and bestselling author who uses her own experiences with Burnout and Depression to help others avoid the dark place that she found herself in when she left the corporate world. She founded “Your Reason to Breathe” as a way to show those burning out at work that there are steps that can help turn the dark and depressing into an empowered and fulfilling life.
Whilst volunteering at an orphanage for disabled children in Vietnam, Sarah found not only her “Reason to Breathe” but a wealth of business and life lessons in the everyday activities of the children at a state-run care facility. She attributes her own recovery from Burnout to learning how to prioritize herself over work and that smiling, and laughter were powerful remedies to fight the negativity of burning out.
Her unique experiences whilst volunteering give her valuable insights into resilient leadership and team dynamics that all organizations can benefit from. Sarah now works with corporate executives and their teams to help them strengthen their own resilience and thrive by using the power of “Your reason to breathe”, whilst empowering those teams to be self-supporting so that everyone becomes the best version of themselves whilst achieving great things for the organization.
Having spent over 16 years in Compliance, Ethics, and Process Improvement, Sarah combines a wealth of business experience with the unique business lessons she learnt through volunteering and her recovery from Burnout to help businesses retain and supporting their top talent whilst still delivering on the bottom line.
Sarah has an LLB in English and German Law from the University of Liverpool and is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountancy (ICAEW). About Chloe Markham: Chloe, the founder of The Yoga Rev’, started practicing yoga with online tutorials, and when she finally started going to in-person classes, they just didn’t match up with her vision of how they should’ve been. She found them uninspiring, disconnected, boring, unwelcoming, unrelatable. And, she thought, if she was having that experience, surely there were others who were, too.
So, she decided to train to become a teacher herself. If she couldn’t find classes that lit her up, she’d teach them! Classes that removed the barriers of expense, dogma and the spiritual hype that’s often found in the yoga world. Classes that were welcoming, unpretentious, accepting, joyful.
And so The Yoga Revolution was born. It’s become a movement from what yoga’s classically been to what it can be. It’s yoga, just more fun. The Yoga Revolution was founded back in 2016 and has always had the same goal – to simply help us feel better leaving the mat than when we arrived. It’s about dropping the formalities of regular yoga classes to help us find more joy, more connection, and help us feel awesome.
And the teaching family that really makes TYR
Chloe – Founder and Lead Teacher
Chloe is the founder of TYR and her mission in life is simple: to encourage and facilitate authentic happiness in herself and those around her, and this goes into each and every class she teaches.
Chloe’s yoga journey began in 2006 as a way for her to increase fitness to improve her surfing, but little did she know that it would also change her life.
A strong home practice has been her go-to, and Eoin Finn’s Blissology her staple along the way. Wanting to do nothing by halves, Chloe finally went to Bali in 2016 to get her 200-hour yoga teaching certificate with Eoin and came home a Blissology-inspired yoga teacher.
She’s been teaching yoga classes around York since 2016, adding some seriously good vibes to the York yoga scene, and now teaches and runs TYR from her little home studio in North Yorkshire. She remains a pretty shit surfer.
She’s a rep for the coastal protection charity Surfers Against Sewage and believes happiness is available not just in the form of yoga, but in baked goods as well.

About Dr. John Bartemus: Dr. John Bartemus is a Chiropractic Physician who strives to meet the standard for health care that Thomas Edison set over a century ago. Now more than ever, our society needs holistic doctors who are devoted to finding the unique cause of each individual person’s issues and correcting it in a natural, drug-free way.
Time and research have shown that more drugs do not equal more health. Our nation is suffering from a burden of chronic disease that is not the result of a deficiency of pharmaceuticals. It is the result of a lack of knowledge as to what our bodies require to be healthy. Our society is built on a magic bullet paradigm, this will never lead to health. Disease did not happen overnight, neither will health.
If you are looking for an objective, evidence-based, holistic integrative health doctor to help you determine the cause of your dysfunction(s) and remove them, Dr. John Bartemus is here to help you.
In this episode, Adam and Dr. John discuss:
Key Takeaways:
"I want people to know there’s hope… many of the things they’re doing are impacting them either positively or negatively. So if we could get them to do more of the positive things and less of the negative things we can really change their lives." — Dr. John Bartemus
