In an article from Forbes Magazine dated April 28, 2014, the writer quoted that "Men are confident about their ability at 60%, but women don’t feel confident until they’ve checked off each item on the list."

Dear Female Leader - have you done this? You're not alone if you have! Most women do!

Women internalize their abilities on the job way more than men do and it's time we overcome this confidence issue. In today's episode, we want to highlight a few reasons WHY waiting until you are qualified is a problem, and what to do about it.

Female Leaders have a lot of pressure put on them to not only prove their leadership abilities, but to also make sure they are giving a ton of time and money to every volunteer opportunity and advocacy group that comes their way.

There’s nothing wrong with volunteering or advocating for causes that you care about; however, it’s time we normalize the fact that not every Female Leader is in a season to give back in those ways.

And that’s okay.

Your work as a Female Leader and an entrepreneur is enough.

What you are already giving through your products and services and leadership is enough!

You’ve only got so much time and energy to give and it’s time to stop sacrificing your main priorities on the altar of “giving back.”

If this is resonating with you, and you've been questioning how to step away from volunteering for everything, let this be your permission slip. Listen in to discover 3 signs that it’s time to step away from volunteer and advocacy work...

The results are in: Women are sick and tired of leadership training that is pink and too fluffy. They are over the cookie-cutter training filled with presentations they could just Google for free! Today’s topic is a BIG one for many serious female leaders! In fact, one of our very own biggest pet peeves (at RAYMA Team) when it comes to typical women's leadership training is this: Swag bags and over the top decorations.

You do not see this type of stuff at regular leadership trainings where the audience is 80% men and 20% women! So WHY do we bring in the Girl Power Toxic Positivity and Fluff when the audience is 100% women?!

If women want leadership training that is gender-friendly, then the women planning women-focused leadership trainings and events need to be aware that the swag bags, the over the top decorations, the fluff - it all has got to GO!

INSIDE THIS EPISODE OF THE FEARLESS FEMININE LEADERSHIP PODCAST YOU'LL LEARN:

  • The problem that focusing your energy on these superficial things creates.

It breaks our heart when women fail to see themselves as leaders, especially when they are already leading but it’s hidden under the guise of “volunteering” or “mom duties.” Women are the ones who take the initiative to change communities for the better.

Women are the ones who help empower their female friends and support their businesses.

Women are the ones who rally around another woman and help her get the help and support she needs in desperate circumstances.

Women are the ones who take the first step in healing their marriages and changing their financial future.

Women are the ones who typically manage the household and the kids and show up to volunteer for kid's activities.

Women ARE Leaders. Period.

If you’ve ever thought to yourself, “I’m not a leader, I’m just here being my best self,” then make today your line in the sand and tell yourself, “You know what, I AM a Leader!”

INSIDE THIS EPISODE OF THE SHE WHO OVERCOMES PODCAST YOU'LL LEARN:

  • How to start seeing yourself as a Leader.
  • Tips to embrace Self-Leadership - and WHY this is so important.
  • A coaching exercise to help you gain perspective so you can lead yourself toward life-long goals and embrace the mindset of the feminine Leader that you are.

The truth is - we need BOTH masculine and feminine leadership traits to be successful and well-rounded leaders.

Women need leadership training that speaks to our feminine power and where we are now, not stuffy rules written by old men who don’t know anything about what it’s like to be in our shoes! So let's dive in...

The topic of authenticity is one that is over saturated in the personal development world. It’s been watered down because of the popularity of influencers constantly telling us “you are enough” and inspiring us to just be real. We’ve even been guilty of watering it down like that ourselves!

But here’s the thing: Authenticity - and specifically LEADING AUTHENTICALLY - is not a fluffy thing. When it’s done well, it changes the culture of an organization for the better and empowers people to do the impossible. When it’s done in a way that is manipulative and in name-only, it breaks trust and burns down organizations faster than you can blink.

Authenticity is actually part of our signature framework of leadership training for women. It’s what the first A in RAYMA stands for. So let’s dive into this leadership skill by shining a light on the secret to leading authentically!

INSIDE THIS EPISODE OF THE SHE WHO OVERCOMES PODCAST YOU'LL LEARN:

  • The #1 secret to leading authentically.
  • HOW exactly to work this secret to your advantage.
  • Why leading authentically in your feminine power is necessary and needed.

Hey Overcomers - it's great to be back with you on another episode. Today we're going to dive into why you can't afford to be fake. And really - WHY authenticity matters so much. Odds are you’ve been taught leadership training from a perspective that focuses more on productivity and puts people skills and character building at the bottom of the list.

OR

You’ve been told that you shouldn’t be a leader because a toxic leader couldn’t handle the authenticity you naturally brought to the table. So now you’re afraid to be yourself because that one time it didn’t go so well.

This episode is going to be super helpful if that's the case! If you want to have a healthy team, or a healthy business, then leading authentically needs to be at the top of your list of soft skills to build. What do we mean when we say "lead authentically?"

INSIDE THIS EPISODE OF THE SHE WHO OVERCOMES PODCAST YOU'LL LEARN:

  • Why authenticity matters so much.
  • The benefits that showing up authentically has for your team and business.
  • Why the health of your team is directly related to your ability to lead authentically.

Today we want to talk to you about what it looks like when your insecurities are showing instead of your authenticity... Being authentic is the skill that most of us would like to avoid building. Why? Because it requires vulnerability and vulnerability makes many people feel weak. Especially women! However that lack of confidence breeds and magnifies your insecurities… and it makes it almost impossible to lead yourself well, let alone the people you have influence over. The good news is you don’t have to live in your insecurities one more moment. You can start changing it right now... with us... in this episode.

INSIDE THIS EPISODE OF THE SHE WHO OVERCOMES PODCAST YOU'LL LEARN:

  • How to overcome being stuck in comparison and drama.
  • What happens when your insecurities lead you into being offended and how to rise above it.
  • The actions that feed imposter syndrome and ways to change it.

Today’s episode is definitely going to ruffle some feathers! So let's just dive right in… Coach Mandy was recently at a Women's Health Expo where she taught our signature method of self-care and stress management, called The Art of the P.A.U.S.E.

During the Q&A, one of the attendees asked a great question that we wanted to dive into for the podcast because it can help so many women. What was the question?

Okay, well, in The Art of the P.A.U.S.E. - the letters of PAUSE each stand for a process of this method. So the E of P.A.U.S.E. stands for Embrace Your Worth. And the question that was asked is "why do so many women struggle with embracing their worth?"

It's a common thing. As a society, we constantly see messages that speak to the fact that "you are worth it," or "you matter," etc. And yet, so many women struggle with this! If we break it down, there's a few reasons why this is such a struggle for so many women...

INSIDE THIS EPISODE OF THE SHE WHO OVERCOMES PODCAST YOU'LL LEARN:

  • What kind of conditioning feeds the lie of "my dreams aren't worth it."
  • The reason some women believe they aren't worth it without a man.
  • Why so many Christian women believe they have to sacrifice their worth for an abusive marriage.

Most women struggle with thinking of themselves as leaders and showing up authentically in that space. Over the last few months, we've heard numerous women tell us, "I'm not a leader, I'm just working out of my home office with my cats." Yet, these same women have influenced their community for the better by connecting people to resources, organizations, and even networking events that help other women meet their needs and goals.

For the Overcomer listening to this, you must face the facts: THAT IS A LEADER!!! Women are leaders. Period. Your job title does not qualify you as a leader. Oh no! What you've overcome - and how you positively impact those around you - THAT is what makes you a leader.

INSIDE THIS EPISODE OF THE SHE WHO OVERCOMES PODCAST YOU'LL LEARN:

  • How to show up confidently every day.
  • Hard truths about owning your mistakes and successes.
  • How to stop doubting yourself.

We make decisions every single day. Some are easy - like what to eat for breakfast. Others are much more difficult and require serious thought. The problem is, we are bombarded with thousands of decisions - little ones and big ones - each day. This decision deluge can lead to overwhelm, procrastination, and decision fatigue. In this week's podcast episode, we listen in as Coach Raychel speaks with Wayne from the North Dakota Today Show about tips for women to make smart decisions:

  1. Pick the one that moves you forward.
  2. Pare down your decisions.
  3. First things first.

Practicing these new habits consistently will develop the skill of making smarter decisions. You will be able to act with confidence, say yes to the right opportunities with conviction, and no react with regret.

An empowered woman knows how to expand her connections. She does the hard work to overcome past trauma so she can create healthy, life-giving connections personally and professionally. Here's three ways to expand your connections and become known as a CONNECTOR in your community:

  1. Find some networking groups to attend and become a member of 1-2 of them.
  2. Apply to be a speaker at an upcoming event, such as 1 Million Cups, to share your organization with your community and meet new people.
  3. Look through a local magazine and send a card to someone that was featured.

People are waiting to meet you and welcome you into their sphere of influence! Don't believe the lie that you don't have anything of value to add to others. Like we said last week, you DO have value! Be intentional about showing up and sharing it and you'll be surprised at how your connections grow.

In this episode, Raychel paints a picture of what domestic violence looks like by telling Annie's story. Names have been changed in this story to protect those involved; however, this story represents every woman affected by abuse. She also paints a picture of what it looks like to set down boundaries and have an exit plan when needed. And she sounds a battle cry for every She Who Overcomes at the end. It is a raw and emotional story that is for such a time as this.

According to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, "Anxiety is a normal emotion that comes and goes in response to fears or worries about changes in health, work, relationships, or money. A person is said to have an anxiety disorder if the anxiety does not go away, gets worse over time, and prevents a person from participating in daily activities." It affects nearly 40 million adults in the United States alone. If you've struggled with anxiety, I want you to know that you're not alone. Me too. In today's episode, I want to encourage you and help you get rid of the shame of anxiety by sharing my story with you.
