Think thoughts on life and love and faith and “human’ ing” in a difficult world with this Random Lady, Sheena Grund!..... I’m a mother, teacher, friend.... just a person learning to “human”! .....
In order to be able to enter mercy for our lives, we need to acknowledge that which we are grieving, whether it is losing a person, or losing a dream for what you wished your marriage to be, grieving an illusion that was also very real, because you held it in your heart.....
We practice so many things in life, but we often don't practice what it means to be human. I have found thinking about the Liturgical Calendar as practicing the seasons of being human to be so very helpful.... seasons of celebration, seasons of waiting, seasons of Joy, and Seasons of practicing the art of grief and letting go, as we see in the season of Lent....
Grace and Peace, Friends!
An episode about how much of our lives we spend "looking for ourselves" some where outside of our selves..... when we've been right here the entire time, waiting for us to notice!
An episode of how God is always offering us healing and light and newness in our stories, one day, one moment at a time! Please note that shifting and reframing our stories takes much time, so let time take time. It also is not pretending all is easy and light and holding hands with your dog as you skip through the park! It's about diving into the depths and reality and discovering what is underneath it all: Love. Here we "recover" who we are. Alongside your personal work, I also suggest walking forward through it all with a counsellor that you "click" with.... Grace and Peace, Friends!
A reflection of "Who do you say" that Jesus and adding "How do you say Jesus is".... how does Jesus live his life? ... also, how suffering is a part of life that God holds us through.... Grace and Peace Friends!
How often, Beloved, how often have we labeled ourselves and others with words such as "success" or "failure" and have we thought about the roots of these stories. One seems to be rooted in "good" and one rooted in "bad", but what if we started seeing life not between the ideas of "success" or "failure", but simply as life unfolding and us learning, living, and growing?.... How could this set us free to try new things and simply live?
The beginning of an adventure of the stories that we tell ourselves, expanding our imagination and a whole buncha other things!
May we remember that this story of the birth of Jesus is not a fluffy fairytale..... it’s a story of Love and Vulnerability, even amongst the pain!
Righteousness. The practice of sitting with Love/God just to be Present and not needing to “accomplish” anything.
We are invited to hear Gods Love for us! To know at the depths of our being that we are Gods favoured one! Invited to have a new story born within our hearts!
This week in Advent May we practice entering this New Way of Being, one moment at a time!!
God becomes human revealing to us the sacredness of our humanity!!! Know this and know your worth!
The will of God is always Love...... Note: this is not just a sunshine’s and rainbows love..... this is a Love that holds and sustains you you in the middle of the mess....
This advent season, May we pause to notice what is right in front of us. May we be awake to the now, to the real!
Live today alive and willing! Live today with open arms and an open heart and the rest will unfold from there!
We hold so many things in life as “Kingdoms” and when they fall, the pain is so very real..... but when we open our hearts we start to taste that God has been holding us through it all and that Love is the ultimate Kingdom....
In a world that teaches “bigger is better” and you “must be more”....... May we learn from the Widow and see that our True connection is found in our poverty; our humility.
Allowing ourselves to begin to see the God of the Living..... our God who holds all of us and invites us into life! We are never alone!
Brothers and Sisters, your entire being is a temple. May you be willing to practice knowing that it is love that invites us into Enchantment and it is there where we realize our houses/bodies/beings are made for love/light/beauty/prayer..... Grace and Peace, Friends!
In the scripture that I’ll look at today, Jesus weeps over Jerusalem saying, “If you, even you, had only recognized on this day the things that make for peace”..... Brothers and Sisters, on this day, may we look at our day through the lens of love that we might begin to see the peace that is in this day.... not if and when, but here and now, even amongst the chaos..... Grace and Peace, Friends!
This episode is about how we are all in recovery and learning to live in new ways! I talk about these three slogans: Just for Today, Keep it Simple and How important is it? And how recovery leads us all to the depths of Love within ourselves! Grace and Peace, Friends!
