When I was in Japan for work, I visited the Peace Museum in Hiroshima. It’s purpose is to show the human cost of war. Wars are fought between governments and principalities. Who suffers the most, but the innocent civilians caught in the middle. Much like it is the Israeli and Palestinian civilians who are likely to suffer the greatest losses in the current conflict. Weekly Word from the car again. My mind can link things together that otherwise aren't related. On the anniversary of 9/11, I somehow went to school chaplains in Queensland. They have to fundraise most of their incomes, which means much of their attention and energy is spent keeping their jobs funded rather than working with students who so desperately need their input and guidance.

In response to the 'outrage' regarding the newly-released Sex For Children book, Koraly Dimitriadis writes that simply because children have the ability to access countless hours of pornographic material, they should read this book. I repeat myself when I say I have no idea why these people want 10-year-olds to learn how to perform blowjobs.

Big W, popular department store in Australia, has decided that a book encouraging children to participate in sex, written by Yumi Stynes and Dr Melissa Kang, should be on their shelves. I will never understand why these people think that children ought to be taught explicit sexual content, tips, and techniques.
Make the logical and coherent argument to me that children need to be shown and taught this.

One of the more strange weeks in Pride Month 2023.
A teacher in New Zealand was deregistered for refusing to use the so-called 'preferred pronouns' of a student.
Children as young as 12 are able to change their gender on their birth certificate without any treatment whatsoever.
And apparently penguins are gay, and they're great role models for teaching children as young as 6 about sexuality.
What a week.

Pride month part 3. Jetstar can't make a plane depart or land on time, but in good news they have eliminated gender from their uniforms. A Christian doctor in the UK is sacked for refusing to play pronoun games in a simulated training exercise, and Christianity remains one of the only religions not protected by anti-discrimination laws.

Pride month part 2. Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Anthony Bass' apology to the 'Pride' community reminded me of Israel Folau and his staunch public adherence to his Christian faith. Bass apologised for his beliefs, and is now undergoing re-education. Sad, really. His apology is a sign of weakness, not of virtue.

Pride month is almost upon us. Are you ready to be bombarded by rainbows? Or are you, as a Christian, willing to stand and reclaim the rainbow as a symbol of God's covenant to never again flood the earth?
This week, particularly considering the actions of Daniel Andrews and Labor in Victoria openly opposing women's rights, flying the trans flag over parliament house, and hosting drag queen story hours, I question what the role of government should be. In what is becoming typical of Melbourne and Victoria under Daniel Andrews, a drag queen has called for more protection from authorities after cancelling hosting an event for children. Welcome to my fiftieth video. Didn't think I'd ever get the courage to do one, let alone fifty. Women's rights event in Victoria, hijacked by a few Nazi's. Naturally, what does the media focus on? Yep, you guessed it. Not women's rights. And Victorian LNP leader John Pesutto needs to resign.
Rueben Kaye makes a joke about Jesus on Channel Ten's The Project, and they issue a grovelling apology. The joke wasn't that bad, particularly since Kaye is gay and proud of it, and the apology was half-baked at best. Problem is, too many Christians for my liking started calling for The Project to be cut from Channel 10. If we ask for such actions, we are no better than BLM or rainbow activists who seek the suppression of dissenting viewpoints.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese made a very public showing of being the first Prime Minister to march in the Mardi Gras. It's a pity that this show of diversity, equity, inclusion etc has done little to curb the crime in Alice Springs. Similarly, Biden's $100 million to Ukraine has done little to help the people of Ohio.
I don't mind if people troll my socials. Fine by me. But there's a way that we as Christians need to respond. Firstly, the time for defence is over. Be offensive and challenge opposing viewpoints. Secondly, don't get caught in illogical circular fallacies and incorrect use of language.

Two reports have slammed the government's response to Covid and the measures they implemented. No surprise that Daniel Andrews and Annastacia Palaszczuk lack the humility to admit they may have been wrong. Bringing me to my continued disappointment that churches nation-wide closed when a Christian recently proclaimed the freedom found in Jesus to a predominantly Islamic audience.

Different events, different countries, both to a degree affected Australia. The 21st anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and we remember all the innocent lives lost. The people who went to work that day and never returned home. That, and Queen Elizabeth II, the monarch who reigned over the British Empire for 70 years, died aged 96. Adam Bandt and The Greens couldn't even give it 24 hours.
Serena Williams retired this week, one win short of Margaret Court’s record. As great as Williams was, Court achieved more in less time, so deserves to be called the G.O.A.T. of women’s tennis. Also, feel free to publicly criticise any media outlets who continue the anti-Court anti-Christian rhetoric.

Roe V Wade overturned. Good news for the sanctity of life and democratic processes, yet not here in Australia. Still, it would be nice if those championing 'women's rights' could define 'woman' for me.

Straight to the point: abortion. I vehemently disagree with it, but instead of protesting and burning institutions to the ground for supporting it, I'd rather have ground-level one-on-one discussions as that's the best way to hear alternate opinions.
