In this message from Matthew 6:12, Jesus confronts the connection between forgiveness received and forgiveness released. While we often ask God to forgive us, we struggle to extend that same grace to others. Jesus makes it clear that unforgiveness doesn’t just affect our relationships with people, it quietly disrupts our intimacy with God. This message calls us to honest confession, surrendered hearts, and the freedom that comes when we release the debts we’ve been carrying.
Join us as we kick off the New Year with a message from Pastor Rick on the "word" and direction for Cedar Point Church in 2026
When the fire fades and the feelings are gone, faithfulness still speaks. Don’t walk away when things go dry—dig deeper. God is doing something in the mundane that you’ll thank Him for later.
In There – Philip: Assignment, we explore the story of Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8:26–40. God called Philip to take a lesser-traveled desert road—not the most direct or comfortable path. Yet it was there that a divine appointment was waiting. Through obedience, sensitivity to the Spirit, and the courage to show up, Philip became the catalyst for a historic moment of salvation that would impact an entire region for generations. This message challenges us to go where God sends us, even when it doesn’t make sense—because there is where lives are changed.
God's assignments rarely come with comfort. But when Philip obeyed, one act of faith changed a nation. What if your obedience is someone else’s breakthrough?
👣 Go where He sends you. Speak when He prompts you. Watch what He does through you.
📖 Acts 8:26–40
God has created each of us intentionally, with a specific purpose, and that understanding this truth transforms the way we live. Contrary to the enemy’s lies that life is meaningless or accidental, Scripture reveals that we are known, loved, and designed by God for His glory. As believers, our purpose is not found in worldly pursuits but in living out God’s will, allowing Him to transform us, and ultimately serving others.
The enemy has a narrative that he wants us to accept. That creation is the result of chance. That there is no creator, no God involved in the course of our lives. That this is simply an accident or the result of a cosmic lottery. Accepting this lie, to any degree, leaves us feeling empty, isolated, and alone. It causes us to minimize the value of life and fail to pursue our purpose. The truth though, God is real, and He is closer than we think. He is intimately involved in our lives at every turn. He knows us, loves us, he pursues us, and he purposes us for great things. We were mad for today and today was made for us.
