In a press realise on the 11th November 2021 by Ofsted:Yvette Stanley, Ofsted’s National Director for Social Care, said: "Today’s statistics paint a bleak picture. Foster carers make such a difference to children’s lives. But year on year we see more children coming into foster care, and too few carers with the right skills to give them the support they deserve. How long can this go on before the care system reaches breaking point?" Today on Stories of Hope my guest is Elijah Kriby grew up in the foster care system in the UK. After being neglected by his mother, Elijah and his sister were taken into care when he was two and placed into the care system. Elijah opens up about some of the instances of abuse he faced in some foster families. Later all that changed when a christian couple foster him and church community loved him and at sixteen years of age at Soul Survivor where @Mikepilavachi spoke to him privately after the meeting, where Mike revealed what God told him about his whole life, things that no one knew about him. Elijah's asked God to reveal himself to Him and since then his life has changed and God has used him in many ways. He has worked for TearFund, was the Senior Pastor at Teesside Vineyard Church and Now is the Founder and CEO of Northpoint Care and organisation that seeks to serve & reform the UK care system. This Episode is not to be Missed!
