Welcome back to BrainfaAaAaArts! We are back with our special permanent guest, Jude! In this comeback episode, we talk about Jude's career as a basketball coach, our trials as failed volleyball players, Zarah's violently competitive spirit, Emma Chamberlain and her haters, and... cult leaders?

As usual, this episode is as way klaro and as alingognog as the hosts. It's good to be back! We missed you all!

In this episode, we finally got to chat with our good friend Keith! He talks about starting his own indie rock band and the events that has led him to this moment. Dza! As unstructured as we are as a podcast, we enjoyed listening to Keith reminisce his career as a musician and how Cebu plays a huge role in this story. He talks about his influences and what he wants to see more in the gig scene in Cebu.

Support Keith by checking his music out on Spotify and following him on Instagram!

Look at us, just LOOK AT US! We are finally answering a Tambag or Nayabag entry about healing and forgiveness and it has almost been a year since this question was submitted. We powered through trying to give decent advice because we can't take ourselves seriously, but we made it, we are here, we pulled through. Zarah revisits an intimate moment she had recently with a glass door and the crashing feeling of embarassment she dealt with... face first. Alyssa talks about her weird period situation and the both of them start of this episode in just... whatever that was. We close the episode by talking about "quiet quitting" and share our thoughts about the work culture in the Philippines.

WE ARE BOCK! In true Brainfarts fashion, this episode begins and ends with chaos. We finally catch up on the pod and talk about our interesting yet quite unfortunate experiences regarding our vehicles. Zarah talks about renewing her driver's license and encountering a mean employee while Alyssa talks about her dilemma while driving through harsh rains. We immerse ourselves in Gen Z lingo as we try to understand Y2K fashion and what the term 'drip' means. Spoiler alert: we are still clueless and are unable to keep up with the times.

It's good to be back! We powered through multiple technical difficulties while recording but we made it! Enjoy!

Did we find love in a hopeless place? It's been a while since we had a cute lil chit chat moment and what better way to catch up than to talk about our CLUBBING EXPERIENCES?!

Zarah talks about the physical demands of budots and the beauty of this cultural movement while Alyssa talks about our first time in clubs.

It was funny reminiscing these moments of our youth we hope you enjoy as much as we did!

Happy Balentyms! The last time we had our bffs over was when we talked about joining PBB, toxic relationships and red flags. This time around, we gathered together to talk about green flags and healthy relationships! We hash out what we used to think were green flags (for Yssa apparently it's wearing boxers) and we talk about identifying good traits in a person! Listen to know more the ridiculous standard we set for ourselves vs what we learned as... ADULTS (?) Enjoy!

We talk about the shows we've been watching lately and Lyss talks about the Woman Accross the Road of the Street of the Window and Zarah goes on a long rant about Euphoria S2 that no one asked for. Zarah also talks about meeting Solenn and how cool she is IRL while also talking about an unfortunate fortunate experience involving fire hazards and kitchen appliances. Definitely this episode is... lit.

We are back with our resident life coach, manager and cultural critic, Dre! In our last episode together we bonded over a lot of topics but one topic in particular we could not shut up about was the movie Gone Girl... AKA one of THE best crime thriller movies ever to be created in our lifetime thus far. We like to believe in the delusion that we are true crime detectives and that maybe by understanding the psyche of the characters we can understand the motives of Amy... pero ang ending? Nag yawyaw ngano uso ang "cool girl cool girl" narrative karon.

I wish I could say we had a structured discussion and "depth dove" the waters of this movie, but of course na himog group counseling and therapy session ang episode.

Wow, it feels strangely good to be back. We catch up and reflect on 2021 and how we believe it was a great year of opportunities for us. We can't help but feel grateful amidst the trying times and especially after the typhoon, we are genuinely grateful for what 2021 taught us. We reflect on our pErsOnAL jOurniEs and how things unfolded for us.

We tackle the painful topic of grief and loss with one of the teachers who made a huge impact in our formative years, Bro (Fr.) Ro. It's a topic we feel like we couldn't do alone and having Bro on the pod really helped us iron out what grief and loss is about. We talk about what it means to feel languished, healthy vs unhealthy coping mechanisms, how important it is to allow yourself to acknowledge your feelings, and creating a self-care routine!

We had such an insightful conversation with Bro and we hope you learned a thing or two about navigating your feelings through these difficult times.

Support Bro Ro and his book "The Miracle of The Ordinary" by sending an email to sales@jescom.ph for your orders and inquiries. JesCom will deliver the books straight to your address! Also available on Lazada.

A wise poet once said "Your body is a wonderland". We sit and chat with Dre of @betterfoodmarketph as she talks about her journey towards a healthier lifestyle. We talk about body positivity, how we love and admire Dre's confidence and the misconceptions often associated with this social movement. She talks about her vision for betterfoodmarketph and how eating healthy shouldn't be as drastic and scary as most diet fads. Ideally, we wanted to stick to the topic but we spent a good one hour jumping from talking about what a "pick me" girl is, the movie Gone Girl, and many other topics completely unrelated to what this pod is about. Suffice to say, Dre was definitely on-brand by staying as off-topic as possible.

How does music influence your life? We had a wonderful conversation with Zach about how music played a huge role in his life, growing up as an eccentric kid with an even more eccentric taste in music. We talk about his first gig experience, what made him pick up a guitar, and expanding his hobbies through his record shop, @tidal.vinyl.

We had so much fun chitchatting with one of our dearest friends and we hope you enjoy the Zach Lopez origin story as much as we did.

We catch up and chitchat about life and the next thing you know we freak out about motherhood, having babies, marriage, and all the things women go through.

Alyssa talks about enjoying life and being able to do whatever she wants, Zarah encourages bagging your own things in the grocery and we end this episode with another TikTok video that makes no sense.

This entire episode was just us drastically overthinking and reassuring ourselves only to freak out about the next thing. Hope you guys enjoy this one!

Halloooooweeeeeeeeen! Welcome to the first ever Brainfarts Halloween special and boy did we start this episode with a bang. We are joined by our frequent guests Yssa and Paula as we talk about all things spooky. Alyssa puts on her true crime detective hat on as she recaps the Gabby Petito case and we talk more about Filipino folklore and the scary stories we grew up listening to. Yssa shares about the balete tree outside her home which opens the question, are enkantos Pinoy elves? Paula shares a very interesting exorcist story that gave us all the heeby jeebies. We loved reminiscing the days where we would pass around a True Philippine Ghost Story book around the classroom and gather in circles to talk about them. Hope you guys enjoy the spookfest!

Welcome to the new season! We start off this brand new season with our dear friend Joanne. We just woke up from our respective naps, got up to record, and we would just want to thank Joanne for dealing with our ALIMUNGAWAN brains!? We talk about going out of our comfort zones and taking the road less travelled as Jo shares her story about how she decided to take Fine Arts instead of going the usual MED slash BUSINESS slash LAW route.

We love seeing our friends pursue their passions and Joanne has been so passionate in her career in fashion by advocating for sustainability. She shares tips on how to be practical and still be sustainable. We learned a lot about what sustainability in fashion really means, and we'd love for you guys to hear what she has got to say!

Oh how time flies! Can you believe we made it to 2 seasons?! LOOK AT US! In this ep we recap our journey and boy was it an affhill slofe (Alexa please play Go The Distance Hercules Soundtrack).

We talk about our "why's" and what this pod means to us. It was very sentimental save for a lot of phlegm, coughing and burping. Alyssa shows off her new hair, Zarah eats mojos na way lami while in a rush to prep for work, and we both still somehow managed to go off tangent.

Thanks for sticking with us the past two seasons guys! We love how our lil Brainfarts Podgang is shaping up.

We went live! For the first time! And it was fun!! Lyss and Zarah decide to go live with zero preparation, zero structure and an abundance of chaos. We start the live with Alyssa unable to connect to the server, Zarah's unfortunate 5-minute monologue, and realizing we forgot to break the ice 20 minutes into the show.

If you missed the live, this episode will catch you up on the division that was CREATED by one question. Listen on to find out more.

Thanks again to everyone who showed up! The discord chat was definitely fire eyes cry We appreciate u all with all our heart and all our farts. Stay tuned for more lives!

Mikko has been a pageant enthusiast through and through and has always provided such interesting output regarding pageants. We ask a lot (like a LOT) of questions regarding how pageants are celebrated in the Philippines, the relevance of pageants in this day and age, the beauty standards revolving around the industry, and celebrating women in general!

We had a lot of eye opening moments during this pod and it changed the way we see pageants. We hope you guys enjoy listening to this episode as much as we recorded it!

Probably one of our most serious topics to date as we tackle our fears and vulnerabilities while dealing with the pressures of life.

We initially had no itinerary and no structure to what we wanted to talk about until we decided, "HEY! Let's talk about our quarter life crises!". Yssa talks about what she's doing in Madrid which is a program called Auxillares de Conversacion so to anyone who's interested in uprooting their lives and moving to Madrid, listen to this episode to know more!! Paula talks about her big transition in life and tackling the fear of starting over again.

We realized as well that the pressures of society do tend to get the best of us and looking at the bigger picture -- we are doing great, sweety.

We tackle a bunch of Tambag or Na Yabag entries and boy did we have a good LAUGH! In this episode, we talk about the uncertainty of feeling kalibangon, how to recover from an awkward and super unintentional first kiss and avoiding networking scheme scammers.

We cap off the episode with an interesting and relatable question by Gamer_GhuRL1234 (not her real name) as she asks us how to get into games more now that she has the means to!

Sit back, relax, and enjoy this pod that is nothing short of laughs and a whole bunch of phlegm.

We talk about awkward moments in our lives and reminisce the cringe-fest days of our past. The episode starts off with a bang as the girls discuss about having their first period -- spoiler alert: a prayer meeting was involved. We also talk about surviving the teenage pain that is puberty, awkward interactions with our crushes and dealing with boys and body hair. Zarah shares the most awkward encounter she has had with her crush which involved interviewing him for the school paper (spoiler alert part 2: it did not go well), while Alyssa reminisces her first kiss and the aftermath of the said kiss. Listen on to find out how that went! Spoiler alert part 3: it also did not go well at all.

We also talk about embracing awkward and uncomfortable situations and how we power through the awkwardness. Awkward situations are a part of life and the only way out of them is through.

We revisit the Tambag or Nayabag submissions that we failed to talk about in our previous episodes...because we forgot to check on them. Oops. We'll do better this season guys!!! In this episode, we tackle interesting topics such as dating someone who doesn't eat pungko-pungko/karenderia food, what's the best and worst meal you've had onboard, the kilig of having airport crushes, and is it okay to greet your ex on their birthdays?

More importantly, we discuss the painful and intensely awkward moment of squeezing your way through seats in narrow spaces: are you a side-swivel person or a bilangkad nayshe? PSA: We do not condone of the latter. Please do not spread your legs in public guys. PLEASE.

Alyssa talks about PAL's famous lugaw and Zarah emphasizes the importance of sawsawan and realizing later on that she is, in fact, a sauce enthusiast.

Lyss and Zarah start off the episode by reminiscing the first day of high school, wearing new uniforms, and also... why did we have like 4626171 sections in one batch? More importantly, Lyss has a PSA of SB19's fanclub name. Join them as they struggle with bad internet connection, talking over each other, and poor mic quality. Of course in true Brainfarts fashion, they couldn't stick to one topic.

Lyss and Zarah go off-tangent for most of their first episode talking about friends, school and whatever, all while figuring out how to do this podcast thing.
