A short, weekly podcast covering health and fitness from a long-time gym owner with a wealth of experience. If you're trying to get fitter and healthier, The Warm Up is for you.
Brame added special content at the end of this. He's incredible. No one can do it like him.
Email me at Corey@coreblendtraining.com if you have questions for me.
Let me break it down for you like a fraction. THIS is how to workout well. I share my top secrets in this podacst.
Have a question? Email me at corey@coreblendtraining.com and I'll take care of you.
Yes. This is to help me help you better. Do it. Thank you.

That's kind of what this podcast is about...really I just describe to you my weekly training split so you can follow it if you think it would help you.

Lebron James would have definitely scored more points if he was weaker.
My podcast production partner Brame titled this pod. He also wrote that sentence up above. He does that just as a joke for me, but honestly it's better than anything I write. If you think it's funny, compliment him. If you're offended, then get mad at me. Nerd.
Help me raise money for Lydia's place. I never ask you for anything besides a lot of your time, a monthly membership to the gym, effort in workouts, reviews, and to refer people to the gym. But besides that? NOTHING. And now I come to you asking for you to exercise for Lydia's place and help us raise some money.
Thank you.
Sometimes I give away the podcast in this section. I'm not doing that today. I want that listen from you. I've earned it.
Do you have a question for me? Send me an email at Corey@coreblendtraining.com and I'll respond.
Should you use some sort of exercise accessory? Don't do it without listening to this podcast first. Do nothing without first looking for outside help. Do not make decisions on your own. Follow. Trust. All will be well.
Questions for Corey? Email Corey@coreblendtraining.com and he'll answer them. He also sometimes answers DMs on @MrCoreBlend on IG.
As my producer pointed out though, this podcast is on the internet. Should you believe it? I guess not. But then if you don't believe it then you CAN believe what you hear on the internet and then we're back to listening to it. What a quandary.
I think you'd do better if you had a friend you worked out with. That's pretty easy advice, so I made it harder on myself and gave suggestions for people that don't have that friend working out with them.
Ask Corey a question by emailing Corey@coreblendtraining.com
Why is Corey opening up another gym on the North end of the county? Is it to make more money? Or is it because Corey thinks that there is a massive flaw in the fitness industry? It's the second one.
Corey goes in deep on how he got into Hyrox racing and how Core Blend became an affiliate for Hyrox.
I can't tell you what it's about otherwise you won't listen. Nice try hater.
Subscribe please, then I'll text you what each episode is about ahead of time.
No it's not, but also yes kind of.

Corey talks about the very cool recovery and performance technique called Body Tempering. Corey knows a lot about it and so this episode is full of a lot of information about how to use Body Tempering to make yourself better.
Corey breaks down ways to feel better after exercise. All of his ideas are good and you should implement them.
Corey is wise and has heard many years of bench advice. He is saving you that time and setting you up for success with this podcast.

In a rare crossover episode of the podcast, Corey brings in the host of the Reel Strong Movie Podcast, Chris Brame, to discuss the Arnold documentary on Netflix. Corey lived in Germany and is jacked, so he is uniquely qualified to discuss this documentary.
Corey breaks down some reasons to take your health a little more seriously. If not for you, maybe for someone else.
This will upset some of you. Remember, I am just sharing health-related info. I did not create these studies.
People get upset about anecdotal evidence because it just applies to one person. But that's fine, if that one person is you. Second, studies never show that something works for everyone, but they get really upset if you point out that something didn't work for you. This is the anecdote fallacy in reverse. This podcast discusses these two things. It's great. Listen to it.
Corey explains how to get lean by being boring. But being lean isn't boring, so it balances out.

A podcast about not comparing yourself to celebrities. A podcast about controlling what you CAN control. An inspirational podcast? Maybe that too.
An unnamed host (for legal reasons) discusses in vague terms whether or not many celebrities might take drugs. He never NAMES NAMES. He speaks only in hypotheticals and DOES NOT DEFAME ANYONE SPECIFICALLY.
Corey breaks down how to bench more weight and what's wrong with your current plan.

We've had episodes that are smart and filled with smart advice. This is not that. This podcast contains 3 pieces of dumb advice that, while dumb, also work. Tune in if you would like some dumb advice on dieting.
Have you joined Core Blend yet? That would be great. I really need to justify this to the rest of the staff.
I don't know man, I feel like the title pretty much does it. Should I have less descriptive titles? Would that solve it?

Someone asked me a question and instead of answering it, I just told them I'd answer it on a podcast. What have I done? The old me would have just answered his question...now I just mine it for podcast content.

RPE is an acronym for Rate of Perceived Exertion. But Corey explains so so much more than that in this podcast. You should listen to it, mostly for the breakdown at the end where he gets frustrated about people conflating RPE with reps in reserve.

Does Corey own deadlift slippers? Why doesn't he get another hobby? Some of these questions are answered in this podcast and some are left up to mystery.

"Hafthor Bjornsson wore straps when he deadlifted 501 kilos. End of podcast. See you next time on The Warm-Up Pod.” My editor and good friend wrote this as a summary of the podcast and it was vastly superior to what I recorded. Please listen anyway so that I can monetize these at some point and invest that money into a camera that records my podcasts because that makes great content on IG.
