This chat is with Mum - Natasha Louise Middleton, who has two neurodiverse children and here we gain a deeper understanding as to why it may be particularly important to focus on the Mums and their parenting journey.
Natasha says that with all the planning and reading of what it's like to be a parent with a neurodiverse child you may as well throw out the rule book as this will require you to adapt.
Natasha has written two e-books offering 'doable' self-care!
She connects the 'woo' with the 'science' and shows that if we explore our spirituality rather than parking it away somewhere we may just uncover a sense of ease within ourselves and our children.
Another tip is the art of laughter in a present moment to shift away from a negative narrative! Plus, she shares the 'ripple effect' between Mother and child in every direction.
Book recommendation:
Scattered Minds by Dr Gabor Maté (Natasha and I had many similarities, and we were even reading this book at the same time!)
Reframing is a skill Natasha has practiced through powerful words such as; "Everything is working out in my favour. Everything is working for me." helps her to anchor herself.
I loved Natasha's response to my final question Q: "how will someone know they are ready to wotrk with you?"

Dr Magdalena Baciu invites us to connect with who we are with kindness, with love, and with respect to be ourselves and aware of our gifts "You cannot force a rose to open when you want it to" says Magdalena. Showing that going slower is the way, though is it our perception that it's slow?
Magdalena discusses the space between birth and passing away, and to find grace in challenging moments.
We dabble a little in two topics that I've expanded upon with other women which you may wish to tune into. The titles for those are 'Is it important to gather wisdom?' and 'can we switch careers?' plus, my own reflections with 'Must we always have a job title?'
Magdalena has faced an incredible amount of challenges, facing them with grace and by observing them through the lens of her scientific thinking stating that 'we can only heal ourselves!' We discuss her journey with Lymes Disease, OCD, Anxiety, Bullying to name a few.
Magdalena coaches people to marry up alchemy and vision, with creation from the linear of survival and materialistic approaches to explore a new map that actually connects it all up!
CEO's are Magdalena's favourite clients as they go on to influence so many others! Their speeches need a 'lift of the heart' she expresses.
Magdalena sees 3 obstacles we journey through those that come from within, those that come from outside ourselves, and finally those that are out of our control, listen and explore with us!
Her favourite books are filled with poetry as she sees a new point of view through verse, and like me has 4 or 5 books on the go at a time!
A generous gift from Magdalena is that all WWSBF podcast listeners are welcomed for a clarity call with her, something I myself have experienced, creating strong turning points. Email the request to drmagdalenabaciu@gmail.com

If you need a firecracker of a conversation to spark something within you to be free in the world then this may just be the kickstarter conversation you need to hear!
Let's start with the word 'freedom' what does it mean to you? For Jackie she had transitioned from 'doer' to 'being'. Her first birth led to an awakening, along with being told that she couldn't go home despite working long hours and was simply exhausted! I loved how grounded Jackie's expression of this word was.
We move to manifestation which moves on to be described as visualisation, to creative, reflective, conscious, and subconscious writing to knowing!
Jackie dances between Yogic philosophy blended with Western understandings which is a beautiful way to bring explanations alive.
Crippling Insomnia was the turning point from a career in TV to Yoga, where she navigated her Yoga career alongside her children's development starting with Baby Yoga, Teen Yoga, Neurodiverse Yoga, Zen Mumma,.
Jackie shares the journey to become a CIC, the newer and sustainable version of a not-for-profit organisation to bring Yoga to communities in an affordable way as we need to step away from this current 'age of anxiety'.
'We need to move' is a call to action Jackie urges us all to tune into, bringing to life that sixth sense of Proprioception. There's another call for education to change 'it is no longer fit for purpose' we are trying to force all children to follow the same route, it's not working!
There's some open dialogue between Jackie and I around the topic of neurodivergence, and not being heard.
'Turn my face to the sunshine' are the words that anchor Jackie.
Books: Jackie studies Yoga so reads many texts for this but a favourite read is The Doors Of Perception by Aldous Huxley - a series of essays. A Stroke Of Insight by Jill Bolte-Taylor and The Life Of Pi are other recommendations.
Two of Jackie's focuses are on maternity services and wellbeing in schools - join her on the mission!

Natalie was born in Zimbabwe, raised as a child in South Africa, spending most of her adulthood in the UK, and now residing in Portugal yet describes herself as a nomad, who's home is within - it's a really interesting perspective. In your environment you also have to be connected with the right people and it might surprise you and encourage you to seek out people who challenge you so that you can come to know your 'whole' self.
Natalie describes energy as Good Father and Good Mother, as a way to remove any toxicity from masculine and feminine energies, relating them to our 'home' and places.
Nelson Mandela's words and actions have greatly influenced Natalie's clear humanitarian ways that come so naturally to her.
She has written a book on a true story that she feels needs to be heard, one she said she would always write on the beauty of the human spirit. Sharing a family's story from Zambia and how they chose to transition what could've been potential hatred into compassion.
Natalie has also ventured into a new business - Settle In; where she helps people find homes, and on the top of her list for everyone is that it must hold a quiet space where you can BE in your own company.
Her 3 tips to self-care are 1) Yoga 2) Nature and 3) To have something to care about.

We explore in this second part of our conversation together the journey of a Pilates Instructor, a chose career path in wellbeing can be hard to turn into a sustainable business, and how in the early days when Christina was asked what she did for a living and she announced she was a Pilates Instructor how they would then ask what else do you do as they saw it as a part-time kind of job! Ironically, Christina would 'move' for 50 hours a week!
We also discuss the beautiful organic way her business grew after one person read an article in a magazine about her and went onto recommend her to friends who then recommended her further and so the growth of good ol' fashioned word of mouth.
Christina shares her approach being a blend of humanness and humour which help people to feel comfortable with the techniques behind each Pilates move, and this episode is a really insightful guide as to what you should be seeking from an instructor to get the breakthroughs this wonderful fitness approach can have on you!
There's a beautiful honesty on Christina's own journey with self-care as a single mum, and that in part her career being what it is brings her a natural dose of fulfilment, joy, and appreciation.
Words we explore
'Let your breath lead you to movement' - a take on a quote from Joseph Pilates.
'Breathe In' - words Christina puts on her Organic apparel as it's the very starting point of breathing!
'Working with the resources you have' - to enable organic flow in your progress, rather than force.
Books
When on holiday Christina can soak up 3-4 books in a week but that with her full life she chooses quiet time with her own thoughts over sneaking in audible books while on the move. She loves to read Fiction, Child Development, and Mindset-themed books. Her ultimate recommendation is Red Tent by Anita Diamant as it was such a memorable read.

If you are just a little curious to explore the word 'wisdom' then I invite you into this conversation and better still begin to distinguish between knowledge and wisdom and the focus it gives you.
We touch on epigenetics inspired by Bruce Lipton as we see how by believing that our mind and environment can determine your beliefs, opinions and future trajectory, and even your health!
Michelle has led a very interesting people-led career inspired by just being curious. Creating the conditions for happiness to occur in health, hospitality and back to health care.
Michelle shares so many ways to harness wisdom in your communities, workplaces and in schools and in turn spark others to awaken and raise consciousness of wisdom just as Michelle does.
First step
Create your environment by walking through every room in your house and asking the question 'what environment have we created here'.

Intuition is such a beautiful topic to explore! Enjoy tapping into what it can bring you especially around decision making. Leanna has a beautiful way of exploring words, feelings and in relationship to that breathing and subsequent movement.
We explore the word trauma and how in society if the trauma is not deemed significant then it is often overlooked whereas Leanna, acknowledges any trauma that is traumatic to you, spends time with it, hears it and then helps you work it through.
I really loved hearing that intuition can be equally as loud as our mind and finding balance between the two can be really special!
In the conversation we talk about Integrative Quantum Medicine (IQM) and Trauma Release which you may wish to explore further with Leanna. She is now releasing an online library of support making her work accessible to everyone at www.leannayogaandbreathwork.com

Have you ever sat back and considered what the word kindness could mean above and beyond saying that the world could do with a bit more of it?
Would you be surprised that the key to kindness is actually boundary setting as is intuition, showing up authentically and courageously?
Sophie's own personal journey through post natal depression, and her partner who suffered Global Transient Amnesia shows that self-kindness was essential in these times.
Leaders - start with saying hi to everyone you work with, kindness starts there and will build slowly, and authentically into the culture of your business. We chat about the power young leaders have in the world today too!

Feminine energy from Sophie's stance is one of evolution, and that we are still learning how to transition in the workplace with a bit more acceptance of this magical energy.
Comfort zones - learn about the magic of stepping out of them. I did just that when I reached out to Sophie for this very conversation!
In Australia state by state there is a new legislation being introduced to their Health & Safety codes that asks each business to hold responsible and a duty of care towards removing Psycho-Social hazards. This to me is revolutionary, where else is this happening?
Quotes Sophie shares:
'What you walk past, you accept'
'Kindness is THE most underrated skill in business' a quote Sophie had seen from Gary Vee and sparked our conversation around kindness having a return on investment as happy, seen, valued staff results in happy clients, customers, communities and families (depending on your sector).

In the majority of my interviews I pose the question about what 'feminine energy' can bring to a conversation or situation and I really do love the depth with which it is answered.
In summary, feminine energy can be interpreted into compassion and conversation.
Enjoy this short compilation and if you're new to the podcast stick around and tune into a whole episode that is relevant for you.
In this episode I wanted to unearth the motivating factors behind exercise, and how to be consistent at it. Christina's story is one of a life of movement from acrobatics, gymnastics, to dance, and Pilates with knee pain recovery in the middle of it all. This conversation is pivotal if you've managed to have some success with exercise but now your consistency is somewhat waning! Stay on track with the right way of thinking, and goal-setting.
Perseverance is a hard skill to strengthen but this conversation could fuel it!
I've split the conversation in two so that you can pause, digest, and then continue to keep yourself on the path to connecting movement to a feeling rather than a mission to burn yourself out aiming for a good set of abs! (You still get those by the way!)

Positivity is one of my favourite topics and let's be honest we could all benefit from a little dose of it right now! Bonnie shares how choosing to BE at a slower pace helps you to be present, and in turn feel joy. This energy is a much nicer feeling than anything else and a great base for connection.
Listen in to the conversation to see how surrounding yourself with the right people, and not worrying what others think is crucial to letting positivity shine.
Having been mostly positive myself, friends even used to call me 'Rosy' as I appeared to always see life through rose-tinted lenses but there have been some difficult times where others found my positivity irritating so I pose this very question to Bonnie - and I love her succinct answer!
Learn the words of wisdom she uses to change state, and acceptance that positivity is difficult when you're tired!

Having your photograph taken can be daunting, you may often find yourself saying "I don't photograph well' but it is also possible to capture authenticity that helps people to feel your truth. Having a visual storyteller like Sophie bring your work alive is an incredible process and helps to convey your message. 'A picture tells a thousand words' is important when you need clarity and simplicity in your communication.
Sophie unearths a word and shows us why it's so important. The word is 'attention' I much prefer Sophie's positive newsfeed of human connection over any news report!
Sophie shares how she didn't follow her dreams and why, and had a fantastic turning point when her then toddler said 'Mummy, what is it that you do?' settle in for an honest account of the ebbs and flows of life that can feel mundane or exciting and the work it takes to keep focus on the latter.
Learn how Byron Katie's book 'Loving what is' helps Sophie stay sane amongst the inner untrue voices of imposter syndrome, and re-reading The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron again she has read words she didn't remember the first time she read it proving her 'attention' theory.

When is the midlife, and is it a crisis point? Feeling different beyond the need for a wardrobe change, and a haircut. Lindsay opens up to share that for her it's been about less push, more letting go but the 'fire in the belly' is still present yet it's different.
Keeping you here for more wellness sharing that you need to hear, we'll go beyond telling you, 'you should relax'. Stepping back when you have too many wellness tools to find the lightness in you again! You've tried everything but somethings not quite right when trying to self care.
Lindsay confesses to doing (not always remembering) 52 courses in 1 year! Searching, and looking for the way forward.
She followed a mate into studying holistic therapies rather than following her own personal dreams, and ambitions. The career began losing its sparkle, and led to loneliness and poor health - she discusses finding it hard to share how she was really feeling amongst the company of CEO's, and managers, yet desperately wanting to jump off the cycle of what was just happening around her.
Location, location, location and Covid aided the positive shift, and helped Lindsay to discover what she really wanted to do. Movement also helped the shift from Tennis to Sup Boarding! The woo hoo moment of this shift! Permission arriving in the form of a redundancy. In this time she paused, stopped and listened enough to what's really going on, and a timely reminder that we're all trying to live a life here!
Lindsay now leads a retreat in Portugal, a few weeks of the year at https://wildviewretreat.com and talks openly about how this opportunity came to fruition after reaching out and connecting with the retreat owner offering her vast experience to support the team with nutrition and wellness along with supporting individual needs with health coaching. While on the Isle of Wight she mediates between the NHS and patient and having reduced their restlessness, it makes way for the self-care to take place.
Nutrition and wellness combine in her business https://www.waystowellness.co.uk learn how to enjoy your food again effortlessly without judgement - nutrition is nourishment.
How trust and surrender became two powerful words to keep Lindsay on track through her journey.

There's a lot to be said for slowing things down, not rushing them, letting them percolate, and evolve. Bodhini shares this naturally simply by showing up this way. Trusting the universe...when it comes to planning what's the best way? To plan or not to plan, do what others do! At school she was told by teachers that she can't sing, has no rhythm, and are not meeting the brief of creative projects. Yet went on to enjoy a career in sound, music, and mantra.
Have you ever reflected on why music, sound, rhythm is so supportive for you?
Another element to Bodhini's work is Yoga - not necessarily in the physical and postural sense but the meditative sense through online and in person workshops, retreats, and gatherings. As part of her journey she spent 6 weeks in India along with an opportunity to receive a spiritual name. Not feeling connected to her birth name. That name inspired a personal mantra for her own journey - sharing the love and finding peace within.
When you're on a different path, and you're not sure it's the right one, Bodhini's own story highlights how you may transition, noticing what makes you light up, notice a reduction in passion, and why not take the leap, and for her it was shortly before the lockdown! Running a new business through lockdown, helped her discover the benefits of online working, seeing more people 'show up' led her to realise 'I just want to be here, doing what I love to do'.
In this therapeutic conversation we explore femininity through Yoga representations of Shiva & Shakti and with regard to the levels of stress she witnesses she asks, surely there has to be more to life than being on high alert! Here we appreciate the importance of a therapist's work, a blend of holistic therapies and meditation, and how people are pro-actively looking for solutions for themselves with the pressure on the NHS.
Doing the work that Bodhini does has restored faith when she witnesses moments of compassion and kindness, rather than the armchair critic on social media.

Rose and I unearth ways to have the conversation on suicide, what holds people back from talking about it openly, and how some signs may confuse you.
Rose visits workplaces and holds online sessions from 90 minutes to 2 days, all with the mission of having the conversation BEFORE something happens to you, a friend, a colleague, a family member, or even a client.
Knowing how to open the conversation even if someone appears to be having the time of their life was an awakening moment for me. Especially when in hindsight you might find yourself thinking 'but they had everything going for them!'
3/4 of suicide are men - find out what to expect when bringing a feminine energy to the conversation. Learn about the importance of not holding the conversation on your own for more than 30 minutes, and after opening up a conversation saying that you'll hold it lightly so that person can always talk to you in the future.
There's only one thing wrong to say and that's NOTHING! Start the conversation today!

After reflecting on my life on my 45th birthday I realised like many of us I could write a memoir! My hope for these words is that they help others to find improved balance in life a little quicker than I did.
This could instigate a moment of journaling or simply reflecting in your memories of the years you've had on earth so far, what have you learned, and what wisdom would you like to pass on.
I'm really happy to have been able to share a recipe to work/life balance if anyone is still not finding it!
I have remained loyal to an industry - the wellness one and have been called all sorts of titles but many of them I simply didn't resonate with, then the one career I seem to avoid (due to imposter syndrome, self-doubt, would I be able to support my family financially, the list goes on) turned out to be the one that not only brought me joy, but also resonated with me more deeply than anything before.
Are you okay with your title at work?

In this episode I talk about 4 scenarios for how someone might be feeling stepping into the session and the aromatherapy oils I'd recommend, here are those for your reference in case you'd like to use aroma within your learning process. If you do have epilepsy I'd recommend Marjoram instead of Rosemary, and Lemon instead of Peppermint.
Infidelity hits a relationship hard, in this poem I express the journey taking into account the 'other' person, and the journey back together. In this full series I will interview couples, as we all know the value of simply listening into someone else's journey is enough to help us not feel alone, and inspired too.
I remember writing this poem after I'd asked my dad if he was okay - a genuine question but, for him it made him feel that he had to be okay and so he reminded me 'it will take time'.
It is important for those around a person with depression to only speak the truth, and certainly not walk on eggshells. The next time I noticed I directly stated 'the black dog visiting you today' - a statement of acknowledgement. I followed up with an invitation to go for a walk, something he loves to do. On the walk he shared all of his observations of nature he'd seen in recent weeks, and later that day sent me pictures of the poppy fields he spoke of.
Being patient yet direct is a fine balance. Notice it, rather than avoid the conversation, it's real, and it is happening for them. If a walk that brings joy in that moment then go for a walk.
Experience a shift in how you're able to focus, digest information, and better still - retain it! This a 1.5 minute intro followed by a 5 minute meditation guiding you through a technique that only requires you to sit in a chair. You can be at home, at work, on the train or bus to take part successfully.
Have you ever found yourself saying out loud 'I just don't have the capacity for it'? Well, if you did say it aloud then you really have recognised that you simply don't have capacity so well done for acknowledging it! Symptomatically, you'll notice that you are re-reading lines in a book, and you'll feel that the answer to an exam question or response in a meeting is at the tip of your tongue but somehow you can't step over the line. Noticing is key here as when you take a moment to step back and decompress, you will step forward and have the capacity for it. This meditation is here whenever you need it. Being guided through the meditation, intensifies your experience positively.
Scripture read aloud: was a quote from the inside cover of Breath - a book by James Nestor https://www.mrjamesnestor.com
I remember the moment I wrote this during the pandemic, the enormity of loss around us, the numbers rising daily, and with friends losing family and friends that lump in my throat and pain in my heart blurted out into this poem.
The more times I read it through I try to imagine I'm Eminem - the way he'd translate words into music was so powerful. I'd love to hear him do the rap!

Throughout the pandemic the wellness industry was heavily hit for those with bricks and mortar. The salon and spa doors were closed, therapists were furloughed, and yet the setting was needed as part of the recovery for us all and is also one of the most sterile environments pre-pandemic. This is part of a series of interviews with therapists, wellness practitioners, business owners, and energy workers. They share so much wellness and business gold.

I launched 6 interviews in total in December 2020 - 3 1/2 hours of business advice in return for a donation to The Hunger Project, remember this is part of a community so whether you can spare a £1 or £100 we are grateful, it’s strength in numbers to make a difference. The advice is supportive for all businesses from sole trader to franchise and from personal mindset to speaking from the heart to keep your business buoyant in these times and beyond 💓 For those that cannot afford to donate please still watch the interviews, I hope they will bring support and inspiration 💓 Why you may ask did I set such a high target to raise £20,200 - firstly the cause has an ambitious goal to end world hunger by 2030 so I had to be equally ambitious. Secondly, it’s a play on numbers as 2020 has been a very different year and I wanted to make it end on a high and show what a community can do when they pull together 💓

SPOTLIGHT ON CLARE SINGLETON
Clare runs a beautiful spa, offering treatments to the community with Cancer, bereavement and stress care their specialty. The Granary spa had to close twice within months during the pandemic and had to reduce staff by 50%! The gift of time during the lockdown came in the form of increased study and an authentic injection of self into the business from Clare and as a result she found balance, noticed increased client engagement and enjoyed prioritising self care, living by what she created for others.

A big career change after finding peace. This has been a transformational time at 44 years old to make the decision to step out of employment - what I saw as stability and into the unknown yet liberating part of me - creativity! On the verge of a leap, or around someone that has made the leap and you seek to understand why.
