This week we are getting into GUILT! Yep, I've been feeling it... I've been feeling guilty for being happy; especially after everything I've been through. Honestly, at times, I feel undeserving for this newfound peace in my life.
Hey y'all! I am back! Getting back into a routine has been my struggle and main priority over these past few weeks! Trying to balance my new work schedule while maintaining the personal promises I made to myself and my mental health have been challenging. But as always, I am pushing through with a smile on my face. This episode recaps the last couple of weeks of my life and talks about really putting work/life balance into perspective.
Our Friendsgiving feast is coming up next week and I am so excited to spend that time with my friends and loved ones... But it has me really thinking... What is a friend?
We were hit by a drunk driver last Sunday and our car was totaled. Thank goodness we were all wearing seatbelts! Things could have ended so differently. We were able to walk away and see another day. I was able to walk away with more appreciation for life, love, friendship, and the little things in life...
So, I've been out of work for a month now (by choice) and it's been the reset that I knew I needed, but didn't know have much I needed it. I've been able to do some soul searching, find my new voice, and rearrange some things in my life to find real peace in pieces LOL

How do parent/child relationships become so difficult?
Starting over can be scary AF! But sometimes it's necessary to become the best version of yourself.
So, on this week's episode we are getting into saying NO and meaning it. Being a people pleaser and someone who absolutely hates letting others down, I have the hardest time saying NO; even if agreeing to someone else's needs comes as a detriment to my own.
In this week's episode, we are focusing on Fake It to Make It and if this concept is realistic when it comes to mental and physical health. I'll share some of my own experiences and how this concept helped break me out of my shell in some circumstances; but also how in others, it almost destroyed me.
So today was a rough day for me and while sorting out my feelings and emotions, I came to the realization that I hadn't been giving myself as much grace as I thought. I was still holding on to some guilt from my past. I am learning that this journey to self healing is continuous and constantly evolving for the better.
In this episode, I will discuss taking ownership of my own happiness. A lot of times, we make the mistake of giving the responsibility of our happiness to others. Being accountable and taking control of our own happiness is one of the first steps to developing self-worth.
