A podcast by Grade 11 students in the I-STEM program at Aldershot School in Burlington, Ontario. Currently we are discussing the UN Sustainable Development Goals, their intersection with each other, and how they overlap with ideas around innovation. New episodes are released periodically throughout the school year.
I Talk about I-STEM is back for season 2 with a brand new collection of conversations. Our Grade 11 Interdisclipinary Studies students, in groups, researched four different UN Sustainable Development Goals. They had to identify a current world issue that connected to their goals and then have a conversation about that issue and its global impacts.
In episode 1 of season 2, the students discuss the current conflict in the Ukraine and how it might impact people globally.

Of course the I-STEM program would care deeply about providing a Quality Education, both in Canada and Internationally. But how does this intersect with the UN SDG of Life on Land? Listen in and find out!
Episode 4 really dives into the overlap of the UN Sustainable Development goals by looked at the issues of Hunger and Health.
Episode 3 is a mouth full - Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure AND Sustainable Cities and Communities. The students continue to amaze their teachers with the depth of their research and the connections they discover between the goals.
Episode 2 is our first full studio podcast with 12 students sitting around the same table talking about the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Here, we focus on Climate Action as well as Affordable and Clean Energy as well as how these two goals complement each other.
