Hi! I'm called Momes and I'm a neurodivergent girl from Wisconsin who loves to travel!! Travel stories are some of my favorite things to share and I want to share them with you! Explore the world with me as I talk about some of the silly things I get myself into: The good, the bad and the random. This will hopefully be accessible to all listeners (no cussing, religion or politics) so that everyone can enjoy and laugh at my expense! We end up with a chipmunk in our dryer and it is chaos. That is the only way I can describe the episode.

So remember when I said I was better from my hives?? I was not...May 9th can't get here soon enough! I need that allergist!! Anywho!! This is just another chaotic day in my life! This episode takes place the day after the "I Accidentally Zali'd" episode!
Not much else to say...My toenail did get split, it still is growing out. I still have two stubborn splinters in my hand...What a day.

A couple of things that I derped on in this Daily Derp.

The reason I mentioned the "Chipmunk episode" is because that one was supposed to come out before this one...But as you can see, it did not. That will make more sense when I post that episode in a couple of days.

The reason I mentioned the oat milk was because when Zali tried my drink, both of us derped and completely forgot that Zali is allergic to oats...She messaged me when she got home that night and was like, "I'm not sick or anything...but your drink had oat milk in it and we are both stupid."
Thank you all for your patience! I have really been struggling with the hives this year. I had them twice before this episode happened and then twice after this happened...that is five times already this year. It has been super swell! But yeah, I try to keep everyone updated via my twitter, so if you aren't following that, please do so you can stay up to date with whether or not there will be an episode.
My WIX blog is currently down, but I am working on transferring it all over to Blogger. It's just going to take a while. I also started a Patreon page, but I'm not sure what I'm going to do with that yet...Suggestions are always welcome, lol

Hey kiddos!
This episode was a pain to edit. The ADHD was STRONG that day and I rambled a LOT! BUT! That being said, That day in 2011 was a rough day, but the sushi definitely made up for it! I don't remember a lot of specifics...I'm pretty sure Michelle and I didn't have that conversation exactly like that on the metro...but it was close enough and I definitely remember that sushi. You know it was good if you can still remember how it tastes 12 years later~

In this episode, I reminisce about that one time I got lost in Edinburgh on the way to Fife in Scotland. I really miss Scotland and felt like this would be a good time to share this story! In this story I go to visit my friend and his wife in Fife, Scotland and get very lost trying to find a bus...but thanks to the helpful people of Edinburgh, I was able to get to my destination and have the time of my life!!

Hey! I got a colonoscopy and endoscopy earlier this month (October) and I had a wild time! My hospital care team was amazing and I made some interesting memories throughout the day!

In 2005 I spent a year in Japan and as a part of the program, I was required to attend cultural events at a community center. My first ever event happened to be Tanabata or The Star Festival and it didn't really go as well as I had hoped. Mostly it is me complaining about my hair...but that's ok! It's funny! I think? Pretty much, this was the event that started a pattern of mental abuse in Japan.

I Get Permanently Banned from Math on the First Day of School:
I am a new student in Japan in 2005 and on the first day of school I get banned from my math class. This story still haunts me to this day. Like I mentioned, I can still remember what the room looked like and how it smelled...how sweaty my hands got...It was traumatizing...but in retrospect it is hilarious. I still can't believe that happened! Also, why did no one tell him that I wouldn't have done the homework and why did no one give me the text books beforehand so I could have done it?! I had a MONTH to possibly do it before school started...I feel like the school and the exchange program representative let me down. Boy, do I have some stories about her!!
I Failed English:
It's really hard to "learn" another language in another language...Especially if they only speak their language and you have no idea what is going on. (also, my example story was not too far off from one of the stories we read? Kind of? ...it was really weird...)

European Tour 2011 returns this time in Paris, France. We visit Le Grande Mosquée de Paris and try baklava and mint tea for the first time ever! Naturally, as we can not do anything with out something going weird, this day trip to the Mosque ended up being really chaotic. And we all felt really stupid in the end. So it turned out to be good comedy! I literally can still see their faces!

Uh. Yeah. The title is weird because this was a weird day! In 2013 I had the opportunity to participate in the Kakehashi Project in Tokyo and Chiba, Japan. I got to experience a lot of cool cultural activities like traditional dance, museums, onsen, squatty potties and embarrassing myself in front of Kensaku Morita, the Governor of Chiba Prefecture and a famous actor/singer. I also recant the long and painful process of waiting. So trigger warning for anxiety, if you are sensitive about hearing people talk about anxiety and failure.
I like to tell these stories as I remember them, but I definitely do some research afterwards and amend my mistakes on my blog, (I totally misremembered what the Governor looked like...) so if you would like to learn more about keigo, squatty potties, the former Governor of Chiba and the Umihotaru, while also being able to see pictures from my trip, please feel free to pop over and browse the corresponding blog post! In 2005 I studied in Japan for a year as an exchange student. I didn't speak any Japanese but I did watch a fair bit of TV. I found out that ADHD verbal stims are a thing and they can cause chaos when you randomly quote a commercial and it's the most Japanese you have spoken in five months. I also go on a three and a half hour deep dive into the internet to find out what the commercial actually was, who the singer was and WHY DID IT ALMOST KILL MY FRIEND?!
Listen as I misremember everything, badly explain things and find things funny that probably are not as funny as I think they are.

Daily Derps are shorts where I talk about something dumb that happened to me. In this derp, I'm alerted by my mom to save some baby Jumping Spiders from the mailbox turned out to be trickier than I had anticipated. And taking pictures of them? Near impossible!! But the mail lady just went up the street and the stakes are increased. Will I save the spoodlings? Will I actually get a decent picture of them to post on the internet?
