In this episode of Wild & Waking, I’m joined once again by author, energy intuitive, soul guide, and dear friend Kelsey Anderson for a conversation about intuition, self-trust, creative surrender, feminine power, and what it means to let the veil fall between who you have been conditioned to be and who you have always known yourself to be underneath it all.
Kelsey joins me on the heels of releasing her new book, The Signal: Listen to Your Intuition Through the Noise of Modern Life, a grounded and deeply reflective guide for learning how to discern intuition from fear, conditioned beliefs, overthinking, and the constant noise of modern life. Together, we explore intuition not as something mystical that exists outside of us, but as an inherent language of the soul that has been with us all along. We also talk about spiritual perfectionism, the pressure to make every intuitive practice elaborate or sacred, and the small everyday moments that can become portals back to ourselves.
This conversation also opens into the deeper reclamation at the heart of VEILFALL, the immersive Samhain retreat Kelsey and I are co-creating in the mountains of Montana. We talk about darkness and light, ancestral healing, feminine magic, wild rebellion, and the power of being held in community while the old identities, expectations, and beliefs begin to fall away. This is an episode for the woman who is ready to stop searching outside of herself, trust the voice beneath the noise, and remember that her magic was never missing. It was simply waiting for her to listen.

Four years, 210 episodes, two more babies, one podcast rebrand, and countless conversations that have changed the way I understand myself, my work, and the world around me. In this four-year anniversary episode of Wild & Waking, I’m looking back at the podcast journey that began with Gather in Growth (back when recording my first episodes felt like standing naked on a street corner) and reflecting on what became possible because I was willing to do it scared.
As I scroll through four years of episodes, I can see my personal growth and identity evolution unfolding in real time: confronting my addiction to achievement and approval, returning to therapy, navigating entrepreneurship and motherhood, moving through two unexpected pregnancies, deconstructing inherited beliefs, reclaiming my spirituality, rebuilding self-trust, and becoming increasingly willing to ask bigger, braver questions. Some things have changed completely. Yet, the desire to gather women around honest conversations about growth, identity, purpose, and possibility has remained at the heart of this work from the very beginning.
I also reflect on the power of curiosity, consistency, community, and shared women’s wisdom. This podcast has never been about pretending I have everything figured out; it has been a place for us to explore personal development, healing, spirituality, social conditioning, and what it means to create an authentic life together. Through conversations with women around the world, we’ve found language for experiences we thought we were alone in, encountered ideas our families and communities may never have introduced us to, and given ourselves permission to decide what resonates, what doesn’t, and what we want to explore next.
More than anything, this episode is an invitation to measure backward and recognize just how much can change in four years. Whatever is calling you… a creative dream, a business, healing, motherhood, deeper relationships, or an entirely new way of seeing yourself… let this be evidence of what can grow when you start before you feel ready, show up imperfectly, and give yourself permission to evolve along the way.

In Episode 209 of Wild & Waking, I’m joined by Jack Thomas, a self-taught regenerative farmsteader, food and homesteading educator, printmaker, writer, and founder of ACRE, the Agrarian Co-Learning & Resiliency Exchange. Together, we explore what it means to build a resilient, politically conscious agrarian life beyond the tradwife fantasy - and why growing food, raising animals, baking bread, caring for the land, and creating a softer life do not have to come packaged with right-wing politics, patriarchy, or religious fundamentalism.
Our conversation digs into the tradwife pipeline, political identity in rural America, class consciousness, white privilege, vibes-based voting, and the contradictions between the policies many rural voters support and the values they practice in their own communities. Jack offers a compelling leftist alternative to tradwife culture: a life rooted in food resiliency, domestic meaning, agrarian skills, mutual aid, political freedom, and interdependence. We also talk about why farmers need healthcare and economic security, how political messaging shapes rural identity, and what it really takes to change hearts and minds without abandoning nuance, safety, or personal boundaries.
We also explore the loneliness of being queer, progressive, liberal, or leftist in agricultural and rural spaces and the importance of creating politically aligned communities both online and in real life. Jack shares the vision behind ACRE (Agrarian Co-Learning & Resiliency Exchange), their upcoming UnTrad podcast, and the possibility of building rural communities centered on co-learning, preparedness, food sovereignty, creativity, and collective resilience. This episode is an invitation to stay open, resist becoming calcified in our beliefs, hold both sacred rage and whimsy, and keep building the world we actually want to live in - one garden, conversation, community, and tiny tomato at a time.

In this solo episode of Wild & Waking, I’m sharing honestly about a season of postpartum depression, anxiety, identity loss, and the strange loneliness of feeling like the woman you used to be is suddenly very far away. This is not a story about being unable to function. It is a story about smiling, making memories, singing in the car with your kids, and still feeling crushed beneath the weight of thoughts that no longer feel like your own.
I talk about what it has been like to return to therapy, to recognize high-functioning postpartum depression, and to grieve the version of myself who once felt so clear, energized, healthy, and connected to her work. After two unexpected pregnancies, years of unraveling and deconstruction, and another season of two under two, I am facing the truth that there is no going back to who I was before. There is only the work of becoming someone new.
This episode is for anyone navigating postpartum mental health, identity shifts, deconstruction, loneliness, motherhood, or a season where the person you used to be feels almost unrecognizable. We talk about asking for help, finding meaningful community, holding hope for the version of life that is still ahead, and continuing to commit to the woman you are becoming, even when you cannot fully see her yet.

In this episode of Wild & Waking, I’m joined by Paige Christiansen, Co-Founder and CEO of Self(ish), behavioral strategist, entrepreneur, and Human Design expert, for a conversation about raising daughters beyond the good girl script. So many women are actively unraveling people-pleasing, perfectionism, over-functioning, and the belief that being loved requires being agreeable, helpful, easy, or endlessly accommodating. But when we become mothers, an entirely new question emerges: how do we teach our daughters to be kind, thoughtful, and connected without accidentally teaching them to abandon themselves?
Paige introduces the “villain edit”, the fear women carry of being perceived as selfish, cold, difficult, dramatic, or too much, and explains how that fear begins shaping our identities from an early age. We explore how women become a threat to themselves when they are constantly editing, suppressing, or overcorrecting who they are in order to remain likable. Paige offers a powerful reframe of selfishness as self-possession: centering yourself in your own life, trusting your internal authority, and allowing other people to have their own reactions without making their comfort your responsibility.
Together, we talk about what it means to model self-possession, boundaries, emotional honesty, and personal power for our daughters. Paige shares how she uses Human Design to understand her children as whole individuals rather than extensions of herself, support their unique emotional and energetic needs, and guide them through sibling conflict, communication, decision-making, and self-trust. We also explore how to teach empathy without emotional over-responsibility, why children need space to experience discomfort, and how mothers can stop parenting through the lens of perfection, performance, and fear of being judged.

In this episode of Wild & Waking, I’m joined by Lesley Brock, policy analyst, writer, astrologer, and founder of Smartt Takes and Smartt Strategies, for a conversation that brings together astrology, public policy, politics, power, grief, systems change, and collective awakening. With master’s degrees in Public Health from Harvard and Public Policy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, Lesley brings a rare interdisciplinary lens to the question so many of us are asking right now: what the hell is happening in the world, and is there a deeper pattern beneath the chaos?
Together, we explore astrology not as prediction or escapism, but as a powerful tool for pattern recognition, decision-making, self-awareness, and understanding the collective cycles we are living through. Lesley shares how her background in government affairs, public health, human rights, and policy analysis eventually led her to astrology as a framework for understanding the human psyche, institutional breakdown, political behavior, and the personal stories that shape public decision-making. Her perspective is deeply grounded, intellectually rigorous, and refreshingly expansive.
If you have been feeling the intensity of this moment… the crumbling, the awakening, the uncertainty, the anger, the grief, the hope… this episode will give you language, context, and a wider lens for understanding what we may be living through. This is a conversation about astrology, politics, power, collective change, personal agency, and the invitation to become conscious participants in the rebuilding of what comes next.

In this solo episode of Wild & Waking, Emily is coming to you from the very real, very human middle of summer with four kids, four months postpartum, big feelings, low capacity, and a whole lot of “everything is fine, I’m fine… but also what is happening?” This listener-inspired Q&A came from questions and reflections shared by clients and women inside Emily’s group programs around support, community, ritual, purpose, deconstruction, and what it means to keep waking up in the middle of everyday life.
Together, we explore the tension of wanting more without losing gratitude for the life you already have. Emily speaks into the ache so many women feel when they know there is more joy, purpose, alignment, creativity, community, and soul-filled living available to them, while also navigating motherhood, work, caregiving, burnout, postpartum, summer chaos, and real-life responsibilities. This episode is an honest look at the messy middle of personal growth, where you can feel deeply grateful and wildly restless, grounded and overwhelmed, alive and completely maxed out.
This conversation also moves into the avalanche of awakening: the way questioning one belief, role, relationship dynamic, or inherited expectation can suddenly lead to questioning everything. Marriage, motherhood, work, religion, identity, social structures, spirituality, and the past versions of ourselves who did not know what we know now all come into view. Emily speaks to the grief of waking up, the tenderness of honoring who you used to be, and the truth that you mature into your intuition, your knowing, your spirituality, and your next becoming.
This episode is for the woman in the in-between; the one holding the tension, craving more, trying to stay connected to her mission and values while the world feels heavy, and learning how to build sacredness into the ordinary moments of her life. It is a reminder that you do not have to have it all figured out to be on the journey. You deserve to be witnessed, supported, and carried through your becoming.

In this episode of Wild & Waking, I’m joined by Nadine Donselaar, Human Rights lawyer, Reiki and Kriya Yoga teacher, women’s mentor, and author of Your Journey to Consent: A Practical Guide to Understand, Prevent, and Heal from Sexual Violence. This conversation moves through the tender, layered intersections of consent, sexual violence, gender-based violence, holistic healing, human rights, privilege, and the everyday practice of being fully alive. Nadine brings such a unique lens to this work, blending her background in law and human rights with embodied healing practices like Reiki, womb work, meditation, ritual, and energy healing.
Together, we explore what it means to heal without turning healing into another endless self-improvement project. Nadine shares how her own experience with sexual violence, EMDR therapy, energy work, and writing her book shaped the way she supports women in reconnecting with their bodies, desires, boundaries, and inner truth. We talk about the difference between trying to become “better” and learning how to become more fully yourself — not as a new spiritual persona, but as a grounded, living, breathing human being in your real, everyday life.
At its heart, this episode is a conversation about choosing life after survival. It’s about laughing louder, dancing more freely, asking harder questions, healing in relationship, and remembering that personal liberation and collective care are deeply connected. If you’ve ever wondered how energy work, embodied healing, human rights, consent, and everyday aliveness all belong in the same conversation, this episode is for you.

In this solo episode of Wild & Waking, I’m sharing what it feels like to finally experience identity integration after a long season of uncertainty, darkness, and personal unraveling. After months of navigating postpartum life, spiritual deconstruction, motherhood, business shifts, and the messy middle of becoming, I’m reflecting on the quiet but powerful “wins” that show us we are no longer just intellectually understanding our growth, but we are actually embodying it. This episode is a call forward for anyone who feels like they’re still in the cave, still questioning everything, or still wondering if the hard season will ever end.
We talk about what integration looks like in real life: decorating your home in a way that finally reflects your soul, letting yourself be seen, reclaiming self-expression after years of good girl conditioning, and choosing the full-color life instead of the safe, neutral version that once felt acceptable. From crystals on the dining room shelf to dreams of pink hair, tattoos, and wearing the shirt that feels just a little too bold, this episode explores the everyday ways we begin to stop hiding our truth and start living as the woman we have been becoming.
If you are in a season of transition, healing, deconstruction, or identity evolution, let this episode be a gentle but honest reminder: winter does not last forever. There will come a time when your truth no longer feels like something you have to hide. There will come a time when self-expression feels as natural as breathing. And there will come a time when you realize you are no longer choosing neutral; you are living, creating, believing, and becoming in full color.

In this episode, I’m joined by Serena Arora, international bestselling author of Unbound: An Immigrant Daughter’s Journey of Reckoning, Unraveling Shame, and Reclaiming Her Worth, Ayurvedic health practitioner, yoga therapist of over 25 years, and retreat leader in Costa Rica. Serena’s work bridges ancient Ayurvedic wisdom, therapeutic yoga, nervous system resilience, and her own lived experience as the daughter of an Indian father and Chinese mother navigating cultural conditioning, belonging, shame, and self-worth.
Together, we explore what it means to become truly unbound from generational expectations, good daughter conditioning, immigrant guilt, and the deeply internalized belief that we must earn love, safety, or belonging by staying inside the box we were handed. Serena shares the powerful story behind her book, including the bound-footed fate of her maternal Chinese lineage and the ways women can still carry inherited restriction, fear, and self-abandonment long after the visible bindings are gone.
We also talk about burnout, chronic dysregulation, and the subtle ways women are taught to push harder instead of listening to the body’s whispers. Through the lens of Ayurveda and therapeutic yoga, Serena offers a grounded, practical, science-meets-soul approach to healing burnout, rebuilding resilience, and returning to the body as a place of wisdom, truth, and repair.
This conversation is a beautiful reminder that sustainable transformation does not come through force, perfection, or constant doing, but through alignment, daily rituals, nervous system support, and learning to pause.

In this episode, Rebuilding Self-Trust: Why Mindset Isn’t Enough–and What Actually Creates Change, we sit down with Self-Trust Coach, IFS Practitioner, and author Andrea Tessier to explore what it really takes to trust yourself again, especially when you’ve done all the mindset work and still find yourself second-guessing your decisions.
Together, we unpack the real reason self-trust feels so hard for so many high-capacity women, leaders, and entrepreneurs. From chronic self-doubt and people-pleasing to fear of making the wrong decision, Andrea explains how protective parts develop over time and how meeting those parts with curiosity and compassion can shift your internal landscape in powerful ways. This conversation goes beyond surface-level personal development and into the deeper work of emotional regulation, intuition, and embodied leadership.
Whether you’re a leader, business owner, parent, or simply someone in a season of transition, this conversation will help you understand why mindset alone isn’t enough and what actually creates lasting change when it comes to self-trust, decision-making, intuition, and personal growth.

Episode 200 is here, and I can’t think of a more fitting person to join me than my husband, Andrew. When the podcast hit 100 episodes back in 2024, Andrew came on for a conversation about marriage, parenting, personal growth, and the life we were building together. Now, 100 episodes later, we’re revisiting that conversation through the lens of everything that has changed since then: a whole new baby, a new podcast name, a much more colorful house, a lot more trees planted, and a wild amount of personal, spiritual, and identity-level evolution.
In this episode, Andrew and I talk honestly about the deconstruction journeys we have each been on over the last few years — separately, simultaneously, and eventually together. We get into Andrew’s experience being raised in a very black-and-white, fundamentalist Christian environment, the conversations that started poking holes in what he had always been taught, and what it felt like when the “house of cards” of certainty began to fall. We also talk about my own experience with religious deconstruction, spiritual awakening, reclaiming my voice, and the fear that came with letting my work become more honest, more expansive, and more fully aligned.
This conversation is also about marriage in the middle of massive identity evolution. What happens when one or both people in a relationship start questioning the beliefs, roles, rules, expectations, and “truths” they were handed? What does support look like when you don’t necessarily understand or agree with everything your partner is exploring? How do you keep choosing each other when so much is changing? Andrew shares his perspective on what it has been like to witness my Wild & Waking journey, what has shifted in our parenting, and why support doesn’t always have to mean shared belief.
We also, because obviously, wander into farming, ancestral healing, Reiki, spirituality, four-kid chaos, the way men can apparently live with everything being on fire, and the deep generational ties between land, work, family, and identity. It’s tender, funny, honest, and very us — a conversation about marriage, religious deconstruction, spiritual growth, farming, parenting, and the ongoing wild work of becoming who we really are.

In this episode, Reclaiming the Wisdom of the Womb: Cycles, Conception, and Coming Back to Your Body, we dive into a conversation that so many women are quietly craving—how to reconnect with your body, understand your menstrual cycle, and trust the wisdom that lives within you. For generations, women have been taught to manage symptoms, push through pain, and outsource their health decisions without ever learning how their bodies actually work. But a shift is happening. More women are beginning to question traditional approaches to menstrual health, fertility, and hormone balance and are searching for deeper, root-cause healing that honors both the physical body and the energetic and emotional layers that influence women’s health.
Holly shares her personal journey from being diagnosed with early menopause in her mid-thirties to discovering a completely different way of relating to her body through cycle awareness, womb healing, and intuitive energy work. As a self-described womb witch and psychic, her work blends body literacy, somatic healing, and spiritual connection—guiding women into deeper relationship with their womb space through meditation, energetic clearing, and intuitive guidance. Together, we explore what it means to move beyond symptom management and into true body awareness—learning to listen to your cycle, understand hormonal changes, and work with your body’s natural rhythms instead of against them.
We also open the door to a powerful and deeply spiritual conversation about fertility, conception, and the role of energetics in preparing the body to welcome new life. Holly shares how she uses her psychic and intuitive gifts to connect with the womb space, support women in clearing stored trauma and energetic blocks, and even communicate with the souls of children preparing to come earthside. As more women are choosing to have children later in life, there is growing curiosity about how emotional healing, nervous system regulation, spiritual connection, and cycle awareness can support fertility and reproductive health. This conversation explores the idea that conception is not only physical—but emotional, energetic, and deeply intuitive.
At its core, this episode is about reclaiming ownership of your body, your intuition, and your power. Whether you are navigating irregular cycles, struggling with fertility, exploring your spiritual gifts, preparing for pregnancy, or simply feeling disconnected from your body, this conversation offers a reminder that healing doesn’t always start with another prescription or supplement—it often begins with awareness, curiosity, and a willingness to listen. When women reconnect to their bodies, their intuition, and their womb space, they step into a deeper level of trust, sovereignty, and alignment with the life they are meant to create.

In this episode, Making It Without Losing It: Holding Ambition, Success, Motherhood, Joy, and the Pressure to Do It All, I sit down with bestselling author and entrepreneur Jess Ekstrom to talk about what success really looks like in a world that never seems to slow down. Together, we unpack the tension so many women feel between ambition and inner peace, and why hustle culture often convinces us to delay joy until we’ve finally “made it.” Jess shares the inspiration behind her new book, Making It Without Losing It, and invites us to challenge the idea that productivity, performance, and constant striving are the only paths to fulfillment.
Throughout our conversation, we explore the hidden cost of chasing success at the expense of our well-being, and why burnout, overwhelm, and anxiety are not personal failures, but signals that something in our lives may be out of alignment. Jess introduces the powerful concept of an “Arrived Mindset,” the belief that you are already enough right now, not someday after the next milestone or achievement. We talk about redefining motivation, finding sustainable success, and learning how to stay driven without sacrificing your mental health, relationships, or sense of joy.
At the heart of this episode is a simple but radical idea: success doesn’t have to come at the cost of your well-being. You can chase meaningful goals, cultivate motivation, and build a thriving life while honoring your nervous system, your relationships, and your own definition of fulfillment. This conversation is an invitation to rethink hustle culture, release perfectionism, and embrace a version of success that includes joy, presence, and peace, right here, right now.

In this episode, Raising Kids Who Can Think for Themselves: How We Teach Discernment, Belief, and Self-Trust, I’m sharing a conversation that has been coming up again and again inside my Coven, and likely in your home too. What does it look like to raise children while your own beliefs are evolving? When you’re asking bigger questions, challenging old assumptions, and learning to trust yourself in new ways, how do you guide your kids through those same conversations without handing them a rigid set of answers?
We’re raising kids in a world where information is constant, opinions are loud, and certainty is often presented as the safest path. But my goal isn’t to raise children who simply follow rules or repeat what they’ve been told. I want to raise kids who can think critically, ask thoughtful questions, listen to their inner knowing, and move through life with confidence—even when the people around them believe something different. This episode is about the small, everyday ways we build that kind of discernment and self-trust from the inside out.
I share the exact phrases we use in our home when big topics come up—religion, politics, friendships, identity, and everything in between. You’ll hear how we approach conversations with curiosity instead of fear, how we create space for different perspectives, and why teaching kids how to think matters more than telling them what to believe. Because the goal isn’t control. The goal is capacity, the ability to navigate complexity with wisdom, compassion, and a strong sense of self.
If you’re raising kids in a tight-knit community, navigating belief differences within your family, or doing your own deep inner work while trying to parent with intention, this conversation will feel familiar. You don’t have to have all the answers. You just have to create space for questions, for growth, and for the steady practice of trusting yourself and teaching your kids to do the same.

In this episode, Let It Be Easy: Healing Money Splinters, Self-Worth, and the Fear of Going First, I sit down with money mentor and author Dr. Ezzie Spencer for a powerful conversation about what happens when success stops responding to effort, and starts asking for something deeper. Together, we explore the hidden patterns that shape our relationship with money, work, and worth, and why so many capable, driven women still feel stuck, burned out, or afraid to take their next big step in business or life.
Ezzie introduces the concept of money splinters, small but deeply embedded emotional wounds that can quietly influence our financial decisions, leadership capacity, pricing, visibility, and willingness to receive. We talk about how these subconscious patterns often show up as overworking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or hesitation to raise rates, launch something new, or trust our own authority. Instead of assuming there’s something wrong with us, this conversation invites a more compassionate perspective: what if the resistance we feel is actually a form of self-protection, not self-sabotage?
At the heart of this conversation is a powerful message about courage and self-trust. Whether you’re building a business, stepping into leadership, changing careers, or simply sensing that your current way of working is no longer sustainable, this episode is an invitation to release outdated rules about productivity, worthiness, and achievement, and to embrace a new model of success rooted in intuition, personal power, and aligned action. Because sometimes the bravest thing you can do is go first… and let it be easier than you thought possible.

In this behind-the-scenes solo episode of Wild & Waking, I’m inviting you into a very real moment in my life — the night before stepping onto a stage to deliver a keynote to hundreds of women in agriculture. Instead of standing in front of a mirror or typing out a perfectly polished speech, I did what felt most natural to me, I hit record. What started as a way to practice turned into a powerful reflection on the message I feel called to share — not just from the stage, but in every space where women are ready to rise into deeper alignment with themselves.
At the heart of this conversation is a truth I’ve witnessed again and again in my own life and in the lives of the women I work with: you can check all the boxes, build a beautiful life, and still feel disconnected from yourself. For years, I lived in that tension — doing everything “right” on paper while quietly wondering why fulfillment still felt just out of reach. This episode explores the turning point that changed everything for me and the realization that the foundation beneath the life we’re building isn’t our achievements, our roles, or our productivity. It’s our relationship with ourselves.
Whether you’re standing on the edge of a big transition, feeling the nudge that something in your life is ready to change, or simply craving a deeper connection to who you really are, this episode is an invitation to pause, reflect, and take one small step toward the woman you’re becoming. Because the ripple effect of that decision to nurture the relationship with yourself has the power to transform not only your life, but your family, your work, your community, and your legacy.
This conversation is raw, real, and recorded in the in-between, proof that sometimes the most meaningful growth happens not in perfectly prepared moments, but in the courage to show up exactly as you are.

In this episode of Wild & Waking, I sit down with productivity coach and creator of the Cosmic Productivity Method, Chelsey Newmyer, for a conversation about what it really means to build routines that support your real life. Together, we explore the idea that productivity is personal—and why so many traditional productivity and time management systems fall short when they ignore our energy, responsibilities, and season of life. If you’ve ever felt like you were doing all the “right” things but still felt burned out or behind, this conversation offers a refreshing and deeply practical perspective.
Chelsey shares how she began integrating astrology and Human Design into her approach to productivity after realizing that one-size-fits-all advice didn’t reflect the realities of everyday life. Instead of forcing rigid routines or chasing hustle culture expectations, she helps clients design their days around their unique energy patterns, goals, and responsibilities. We talk about how understanding your sun, moon, and rising signs—along with your Human Design type—can provide powerful insight into when you work best, how you recharge, and how to create sustainable momentum without constant pressure.
Ultimately, this conversation is an invitation to let go of hustle without losing momentum. It’s about honoring your energy, embracing experimentation, and designing routines and rhythms that feel supportive rather than stressful. Whether you’re new to astrology and Human Design or simply searching for a more sustainable approach to productivity, this episode will help you rethink how you structure your day—and remind you that progress doesn’t have to come at the cost of your peace.

In this powerful and thought-provoking episode of Wild & Waking, I sit down with Beatriz Victoria Albina, NP, MPH, SEP—UCSF-trained Nurse Practitioner, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Master Certified Life Coach, and author of the groundbreaking book End Emotional Outsourcing: How to Overcome Your Codependent, Perfectionist, People-Pleasing Habits and Reclaim Your Life. Together, we explore the deeper roots of people-pleasing, perfectionism, anxiety, and over-responsibility—not as personality flaws, but as intelligent survival strategies shaped by culture, relationships, and nervous system conditioning. This conversation is an invitation to move beyond surface-level self-help and into a more sophisticated understanding of healing, self-trust, and relational change.
Throughout our discussion, Béa introduces the concept of emotional outsourcing, a term she coined to describe the habit of looking outside ourselves for validation, safety, and worth. We unpack how this pattern shows up in everyday life—saying yes when we mean no, over-functioning in relationships, and carrying the emotional weight of everyone around us—while quietly losing connection to our own needs and desires. Drawing from somatic psychology, polyvagal theory, and trauma-informed care, Béa explains why knowing what to do isn’t always enough to change behavior, and how building nervous system capacity is essential for setting boundaries, cultivating resilience, and developing lasting self-trust.
Whether you’re navigating burnout, struggling with boundaries, recovering from people-pleasing, or seeking a deeper relationship with yourself and others, this episode offers a rich and intellectually grounded perspective on healing. Béa’s work bridges science, psychology, feminism, and somatic practice to help people stop living for everyone else and finally come home to themselves. If you’re ready to move beyond survival mode and into a life rooted in self-trust, relational health, and meaningful connection, this conversation will expand the way you think about healing and the role it plays in shaping the world around us.

In this special reverse interview episode, the tables turn as Emily Reuschel, host of the Wild & Waking podcast, sits in the guest seat for a powerful conversation with Master Life Coach and Internal Family Systems practitioner, Andrea Tessier. Together, they explore the deeper forces shaping women’s leadership today; from the rise of self-trust and inner authority to the collective awakening many women are experiencing in a rapidly changing world.
This episode explores what it means to live and lead during a time of collective awakening, when many women are questioning the systems, expectations, and narratives they were raised within. Emily and Andrea reflect on the powerful moment we are living through, and how self-trust, inner authority, and women stepping into leadership may be some of the most important forces shaping what comes next.
If you’ve ever felt the tension between who you were taught to be and who you’re becoming, this conversation offers both validation and perspective. It’s an honest, thoughtful exploration of women’s leadership, personal awakening, sacred rage, and the courage required to trust yourself in a changing world.

In this solo episode of Wild & Waking, Emily explores the many conversations happening right now around the divine feminine, and why so many of them feel incomplete. From “trad wife” narratives circulating in rural and online spaces to aestheticized versions of feminine energy centered on softness and passivity, the concept of the feminine has often been reduced to a narrow role. But what if the divine feminine is something much bigger, wilder, and more powerful than that?
At the heart of this conversation is a powerful idea: the divine feminine is a paradox. It is both softness and fire. It is joy and rage. It is floral dresses and burning down the systems that were never designed for women to thrive. Emily shares a series of reflections on what reclaiming feminine power can look like in everyday life, from honoring the cycles of the body and the seasons to trusting your intuition, raising daughters who know their worth, and building community with other women.
Ultimately, this episode invites listeners to move beyond surface-level ideas of feminine energy and step into something deeper: feminine sovereignty. Reclaiming the divine feminine isn’t about performing an aesthetic or fitting into a prescribed role; it’s about remembering who you are beneath conditioning and expectations. It’s about reconnecting to intuition, reclaiming your voice, and participating in the ripple effect of women coming home to their power.
If you’ve been questioning traditional narratives around femininity, exploring spiritual growth, or feeling the pull toward deeper self-trust, feminine leadership, and personal sovereignty, this conversation will meet you right where you are.

In this episode of Wild & Waking, Emily sits down with Hope Pedraza, a functional wellness practitioner who works at the intersection of science, energetics, and embodied healing. Together, they explore why burnout isn’t a personal failure or a productivity problem, it’s a signal that old paradigms of success, worth, and wellness are no longer sustainable. This conversation is a powerful invitation to reimagine healing through the lens of worthiness, nervous system regulation, and inner authority.
Hope shares her integrative approach to functional wellness, weaving together mineral balancing, nervous system healing, Human Design, subconscious work, and frequency medicine to help high-achieving women restore energy and vitality. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, she explains how burnout often stems from deeper emotional and energetic roots, especially the worthiness wound that conditions women to tie their value to productivity, overgiving, and constant doing.
This conversation is for the woman who feels exhausted but deeply self-aware, who knows something is off even when labs look “normal,” and who is ready to listen to her body as the final authority. If you’re navigating burnout, identity shifts, or the next evolution of your leadership, this episode offers a grounded yet expansive look at what functional wellness can become when science, energetics, and self-trust meet.

This episode marks the powerful finale of the four-part Wild & Waking Journey series — and we are closing with the phase that changes everything: The Rise
Throughout this identity evolution series, we’ve walked through The Unraveling, The Remembering, and The Reclamation; the sacred undoing, the return to intuition, the courageous choosing. Now, in this final installment, Emily brings language to what happens next. The Rise is not a finish line or a glow-up. It’s embodied leadership. It’s self-trust in action. It’s the moment your inner transformation begins to ripple outward into your voice, your relationships, your work, your motherhood, your community, and your legacy.
If you’ve been navigating identity deconstruction, spiritual awakening, authentic self-expression, or stepping into greater visibility without self-abandonment, this episode will meet you exactly where you are. The Wild & Waking Framework is cyclical, not linear. You may be rising in one area while unraveling in another, and that is not failure. That is growth.
This is the inhale and exhale of a woman who knows who she is and is no longer afraid to let the world feel it.

In this episode of Wild & Waking, Emily sits down with business coach Sara Dann for a bold, honest conversation about what happens when the “good girl” way of succeeding stops working. Inspired by Sara’s viral reflection on why good girl behavior won’t be rewarded in 2026, this conversation explores the deep unraveling many women experience when overfunctioning, overachieving, and self-abandonment no longer deliver fulfillment — even when the business looks successful on paper.
Together, Emily and Sara unpack what Sara calls the “good girl conditioning” so many women have been socialized into: proving worth through productivity, staying humble, avoiding disruption, prioritizing likability, and following rules that once felt safe but now feel suffocating. They explore the moment women hit an internal wall — when resentment creeps in, desire goes quiet, and success starts to feel heavy instead of expansive — and why this isn’t a failure, but an invitation into reinvention.
Sara shares her own story of building a multi-million-dollar business while deeply disconnected from herself, and the long, messy process of reclaiming desire, embodiment, and personal power. This conversation moves beyond strategy into identity; naming the grief that comes with outgrowing former versions of yourself, the fear of letting go of what “worked,” and the courage it takes to stop performing past identities in order to be fully seen.
This episode is for the woman who knows she’s outgrown the way she’s been doing life or business, who feels the quiet (or loud) pull toward something more aligned, and who is ready to lead from desire instead of obligation. It’s a reminder that reinvention isn’t reckless — it’s a reclamation. And that the collapse of good girl conditioning is often the beginning of becoming a powerful, fully expressed woman.

The Wild & Waking Journey: Reclamation is Part 3 of a four-part solo series exploring the Wild & Waking Framework—a cyclical, soul-deep map for identity evolution, embodied leadership, and aligned living. In this episode, Emily guides the listener into The Reclamation, the phase where everything begins to click. After Unraveling what no longer fits and Remembering your deeper truth, Reclamation is where you consciously choose to live differently, and begin embodying who you are becoming in real time.
The Reclamation is the sacred middle. It is the integration phase where clarity turns into courage and insight becomes action. Like earth, this stage is about rooting and rising. What once felt abstract now becomes tangible: boundaries spoken aloud, standards set, decisions made from self-trust rather than urgency or survival. Emily explores how this phase shows up across identity, work, relationships, spirituality, values, and leadership, and why Reclamation isn’t about throwing everything out, but intentionally choosing what truly fits and letting the rest fall away.
In this episode, Emily shares real-life examples of Reclamation in motion, from redefining success and worth, to releasing people-pleasing, to setting unapologetic standards around time, energy, and capacity. She unpacks why integration has a “lag period,” why embodiment takes practice, and how identity is one reclaimed, aligned choice at a time. This phase is not loud or flashy; it’s subtle, steady, and often uncomfortable, but it’s where self-trust is built and freedom begins to take shape from the inside out.
You’ll also hear how Reclamation invites you to expand your capacity to be seen, heard, and held, especially when your choices disrupt expectations or disappoint others. Emily reflects on the courage it takes to lead from vision rather than validation, to trust yourself before external proof appears, and to stop managing other people’s perceptions at the cost of self-abandonment. This is where identity stops being conceptual and starts becoming embodied.
To close, Emily offers grounding reflection questions to support your own Reclamation—inviting you to name the boundaries that would most protect your energy, the truths that need your voice, and the small aligned experiments that will stretch your capacity. If you’re in the phase of choosing differently, rebuilding your identity, and learning to walk as the woman you’ve remembered, this episode will meet you exactly where you are. Part 4 of the series, The Rise, continues next.

Together, they explore the profound world of Akashic Records, past life regression, ancestral healing, and the collective awakening that’s unfolding across humanity.

They explore the soul-level reasons we choose certain life paths, parents, or challenges, and how understanding these deeper truths can bring liberation, compassion, and wholeness. The Remembering is the second chapter in a four-part solo series exploring the Wild & Waking Framework — a cyclical, soul-deep map for personal growth, identity evolution, and embodied leadership. Unlike linear self-help models or rigid step-by-step systems, the Wild & Waking journey is a living spiral. It’s a rhythm you move through again and again, learning to recognize where you are right now and honor that place as sacred.
In this episode, Emily dives into The Remembering — the phase defined by the question, “Who was I before the world told me who to be?” This is the water phase of the journey: fluid, deep, intuitive, and quietly powerful. The Remembering is not about becoming someone new; it’s about coming home. Beneath the layers of obligation, conditioning, expectations, and survival strategies, there is a deeper knowing that has always been there — waiting to be heard. This phase invites you to soften, turn inward, and begin listening to the whispers that have been trying to find you all along.
If you’re in a season of rediscovering your desires, reclaiming your intuition, or gently peeling back the layers of who you thought you had to be, this conversation will meet you exactly where you are — and remind you that you were never lost. You were always remembering.

Change is the one constant we can’t escape, and as author, poet, and speaker Arielle Estoria reminds us, it’s not something to fear, but to honor. In this soulful and deeply resonant conversation, Emily and Arielle explore what it truly means to come home to yourself through the ongoing process of unfolding. Together, they reflect on the courage it takes to shed old identities, question inherited beliefs, and step into the woman you’ve always been beneath the layers of conditioning.
Drawing from Arielle’s acclaimed book, The Unfolding: An Invitation to Come Home to Yourself, they explore the five sacred phases of transformation, The Awakening, The Eclipsing, The Mending, The Illuminating, and The Returning. Arielle shares how each phase mirrors the seasons of our own becoming: the moments that break us open, the shadows that test us, and the light that leads us back to wholeness. Through storytelling, poetry, and vulnerability, she reminds us that healing is not linear; it’s a constant, sacred dance between remembering and becoming.
This episode offers a moment to pause, exhale, and find calm. It’s an invitation to recognize your own unfolding in real time, to see your evolution not as a crisis, but as a calling. Whether you’re in the midst of awakening, grieving who you once were, or stepping into a new version of yourself, Arielle’s words will remind you that you’re not broken, you’re blooming.

The Wild & Waking Journey: Unraveling marks the beginning of a four-part solo series exploring the Wild & Waking Framework — a cyclical, soul-deep map for personal growth, identity evolution, and embodied leadership. Unlike linear self-help models or rigid step-by-step systems, the Wild & Waking journey is a living spiral. It’s a rhythm you move through again and again, learning to recognize where you are right now and honor that place as sacred. Across this series, Emily guides you through the four phases of this framework — The Unraveling, The Remembering, The Reclamation, and The Rise — offering language, reflection, and deep context for the kind of transformation that can’t be rushed or forced.
This first episode dives into The Unraveling, the phase that begins when the life you built no longer feels like yours. It’s the moment something feels off, but you can’t quite name it — when the roles, identities, beliefs, and systems that once felt safe start to feel constricting instead. The Unraveling carries the energy of fire: burning away what no longer fits, dismantling old stories, and creating space for deeper truth to emerge. This phase isn’t about fixing yourself or finding answers — it’s about naming what’s real, even when it’s uncomfortable.
You’ll also hear why The Unraveling isn’t a sign of failure, but the beginning of freedom — and why so many people avoid this phase altogether. Emily speaks to the relief and fear that arise when the mask starts to fall away, the loneliness of questioning beliefs that once provided belonging or certainty, and the importance of being held in this phase without being rushed toward clarity, certainty, or resolution. This conversation is for anyone who’s tired of pretending they’re “fine,” who feels split between who they are and who they’ve been conditioned to be, or who senses that something truer is trying to emerge beneath the surface.

In this powerful continuation of our conversation, Annie Bertrand returns to take us deeper into her signature work: ancestral astrology, mother wounds, karmic cycles, and the soul-level patterns that shape our families across generations. In part one, we explored the foundations of astrology and how to understand your chart. In part two, we turn toward the lineage-level healing work — the real-life applications that influence how we mother, how we relate, and how we break the cycles we were born into.
Throughout the episode, we explore the real-life tension points most moms face: the self-awareness trap, the fear of “messing up” our kids, the feeling of holding three generations’ worth of emotional weight, and the challenge of navigating growth when our partners or families aren’t on the same path. Annie offers a grounded, compassionate reminder that healing our own patterns is what shifts the lineage — and that change often ripples through our families without forcing, convincing, or controlling anyone.
If you’ve been craving a deeper understanding of your family dynamics, curious about ancestral healing, or looking for tools to better support your children’s emotional world, this conversation will leave you both expanded and grounded. Annie’s approach to astrology is practical, accessible, and deeply validating — offering a map for healing your lineage, supporting your kids, and embodying the parent you were meant to be.

This week, I’m taking you behind the scenes of my own evolution through one of my favorite portals: reading. In this end-of-year solo episode, I walk you through all 26 books I read in 2025. These are the ones that cracked me open, challenged my assumptions, expanded my worldview, and quietly shaped the way I’ve shown up on the podcast, in my work, and in my life this year. Rather than sharing a quick top-five list, I take you on the full chronological journey, because the order matters. When you hear these books in the sequence I read them, you’ll notice the threads of curiosity, deconstruction, healing, and spiritual expansion that guided me month by month.
From faith and deconstruction, to ancestral wisdom, to the divine feminine, to creativity, to the witch wound, to energy work, to nature, to body literacy, these books formed a kind of breadcrumb trail for me — each one helping me ask bigger questions, soften old assumptions, and step deeper into the Wild & Waking journey we’ve been walking together. Some I devoured. Some I wrestled with. A few I didn’t finish. And all of them, in one way or another, became teachers in my own unraveling, remembering, reclamation, and rise.
Whether you want to expand your 2026 reading list, reflect on your own year of inner growth, or simply follow along with the journey behind the journey, this episode is a deep, thoughtful companion. And if any book sparks something for you, trust that. Pick it up, explore it, and see where it leads. The books that call to us often arrive right on time.

Together, they unpack the systemic and cultural roots that shape our identity and self-worth, and how the beliefs we’ve inherited from society have kept us striving, performing, and disconnected from our inherent value.
This episode digs into the hidden characteristics of white supremacy culture including perfectionism, individualism, urgency, and fear of conflict, and how they quietly infiltrate our relationships, work, and daily lives. If astrology has always felt like a foreign language full of symbols, glyphs, houses, nodes, and mysterious lines running across a wheel you are in exactly the right place. In this episode, I’m joined by ancestral astrologer, Annie Bertrand, for a true beginner-friendly walkthrough of the basics. Instead of staying conceptual, Annie reads directly from my birth chart, so you can follow along with your own and finally make sense of what you’re seeing.
Annie breaks astrology down to its simplest, most foundational layers: the “big three” (sun, moon, rising), what the planets represent, how houses work, and how to interpret the symbols and placements on your chart. She explains astrology as your soul’s language, and offers a grounded perspective on what your chart can reveal about your life path, innate patterns, emotional wiring, and even the challenges your soul chose to work through.
This is part one of a two-part series with Annie. Today is the foundational “how it works” conversation. In part two, we’ll dive into Annie’s signature expertise: ancestral healing, mother wounds, soul-level contracts, and how our families’ charts interweave across generations.

In this powerful and multi-dimensional conversation, Emily sits down with intuitive healer, medium, and spiritual mentor, Nicolle Merrilyne, to explore the deeper layers of spiritual awakening, energy work, and feminine reclamation. Nicolle shares the origins of her intuitive gifts, the mediumship opening that transformed her life, and the profound initiations that led her into the work of shadow integration, embodiment, and spiritual depth. Together, they discuss the collective shift from surface-level “love and light” spirituality into a more grounded, embodied era of shadow work, emotional healing, and wild woman awakening.
Emily and Nicolle dig into the difference between mindset-level self-development and the deeper inner work required to truly evolve—grief, rage, ancestral patterns, past-life wounds, and the unconscious narratives that shape our choices. Nicolle explains the astrological landscape of this moment, including Pluto’s move from Capricorn into Aquarius, and how this transition mirrors the dismantling of outdated structures, the rise of feminine wisdom, and the increasing desire for authenticity, soul alignment, and personal sovereignty.
The episode takes a fascinating turn into the world of energetic home cleansing, spiritual hygiene, and energetic protection practices. Nicolle breaks down the foundations of maintaining a clear energetic environment—how to cleanse your home, how energy accumulates in physical spaces, how to ground and protect yourself, and why certain rooms hold more emotional imprint than others. Emily and Nicolle unpack the powerful house-clearing session they did together, including the intuitive messages that came through, the repeated water incidents in Emily’s home, and the connection between home energetics, emotional patterns, and the completion of old cycles.

So often we expect transformation to be loud, dramatic, or instantly recognizable. But the truth is that personal evolution rarely happens in one defining moment. In this intimate solo episode, Emily reflects on the quiet, incremental, almost imperceptible shifts that have reshaped her entire inner world over the past year, while her external life has looked almost exactly the same. Through the lens of her own growth, she explores what it really means to evolve slowly, intentionally, and courageously.
Emily shares honest stories from her spiritual awakening, identity work, motherhood journey, and the subtle invitations that nudged her into deeper awareness. From the fear of being seen differently to the unexpected clarity that comes with hindsight, this episode illustrates how small daily choices, micro-yeses, and inner healing compound over time into profound change. It’s a reminder that you don’t need to burn down your life to become a new version of yourself; you simply need to pay attention to the slow burn within.
As Emily revisits who she was just one year ago—hesitant, questioning, unsure if she’d be rejected for exploring new parts of herself—she reflects on how dramatically her relationship with herself has shifted. The values she honors, the risks she takes, the conversations she’s willing to have, the intuition she trusts, the beliefs she has released: they all reveal the power of subtle, sustained personal work. This episode is a love letter to anyone walking their own path of growth, especially when it feels quiet or unseen.
If you’ve ever wondered whether you’re growing fast enough, if you’ve downplayed your progress because your external reality hasn’t changed, or if you’re craving a reflection of how far you’ve come, this conversation will help you see your evolution with clearer eyes. The slow burn of becoming is real, and chances are, you’re already living it, one subtle shift at a time.

What if your desire isn’t dangerous, but divine?
In this deeply transformative episode, Emily sits down with Dr. Kimberly Rose Pendleton, an intimacy coach, scholar, and founder of UNCOVER, to explore what it means to heal from purity culture and reclaim your body, your voice, and your power. Together, they unravel centuries of conditioning that taught women to equate goodness with obedience and holiness with self-denial, and invite listeners into a radical reframe: that pleasure is sacred, not selfish.
Kimberly shares her personal story of deconstructing evangelical beliefs, walking away from a marriage that no longer fit, and rediscovering her aliveness through the practice of pleasure. Rooted in her academic background at Yale and her years of coaching women around the world, she blends intellect and embodiment in a way that feels both revolutionary and deeply human. From the theology of Mary Magdalene to the lived reality of womanhood today, she illuminates how pleasure becomes a path back to the divine, and how reclaiming it is one of the most powerful ways women can heal from religious trauma, shame, and repression.
Emily and Kimberly dive into the hidden history of Mary Magdalene, a wealthy, powerful spiritual leader erased and rewritten as a sinner by the early Church, and what her true story reveals about the fear of feminine wisdom. They explore how purity culture and patriarchy sought to silence women’s voices, sexual expression, and intuition, and why remembering the Magdalene lineage is an act of both spiritual and societal revolution.
Whether you grew up in the church or simply absorbed the cultural messaging that your worth depends on being “good,” this conversation is an invitation to return to yourself. To soften the shame, to listen to your body, and to remember that your joy, your sensuality, and your truth are not something to hide, they’re the very portals to your power, purpose, and divine connection.

What if you stopped dreading the darker months and started seeing them as sacred? In this episode, Emily invites you to embrace the descent into the dark half of the year, a season of rest, reflection, and deep inner renewal. Drawing from ancestral wisdom, cyclical living, and her own evolution, she explores how “wintering” isn’t just about enduring the cold, but remembering that rest itself is holy work.
Emily shares how nature’s rhythm mirrors our own: trees release what no longer serves them, seeds rest underground, and the soil restores its nutrients, all in preparation for new life. Through these ancient patterns, we’re reminded that nothing in nature blooms all year long, and we’re not meant to either.
This is an invitation to slow down, to release the pressure for constant productivity, and to reconnect with what your body and spirit truly need in this season. From cozy rituals and nourishing rest to the invigorating clarity of cold air on your face, Emily offers tangible ways to lean into winter’s wisdom, even if you’re someone who craves sunshine and green.
Because on the other side of the darkness, there’s always a rebirth. Every spring you’ve ever witnessed began here, in the quiet, the cold, and the unseen. You are allowed to rest. You are allowed to not bloom. You are allowed to become.

What happens when your personal evolution begins to stretch the space between you and your partner? In this deeply honest and compassionate conversation, Emily sits down with feminist marriage coach Maggie Reyes to explore what she calls The Growth Gap, the tension that arises when one partner is actively growing, healing, or awakening, while the other clings to what feels safe, familiar, or expected.
Together, they unpack how to navigate seasons of self-discovery, faith shifts, and identity work without losing connection or abandoning yourself. Maggie introduces her signature “Power of One” philosophy, rooted in systems theory, which teaches that when one person in a relationship changes, the entire dynamic begins to shift. Through humor, real-life stories, and grounded examples, she offers practical tools for honoring your transformation while creating deeper intimacy, even when your partner isn’t “doing the work.”
They discuss what it means to “go first,” how to recognize the difference between fear and disrespect, and how to communicate your growth in ways that invite curiosity instead of defensiveness. Maggie also shares powerful re-frames around resentment, compassion, and the myth that both partners must grow at the same pace or in the same way.
Whether you’re deconstructing long-held beliefs, exploring new layers of yourself, or simply feeling the growing pains of change within your relationship, this conversation is a breath of relief and a roadmap for love that expands instead of contracts.

Fresh off a transformative retreat and deep in the waves of pregnancy, she opens up about what it means to sit in discomfort without needing to fix it, to honor both the shadows and the blessings, and to find holiness in the wholeness of being human. This is an episode about slowing down enough to feel it all—to remember that life itself is the occasion, not something to earn once everything feels perfect.
Emily explores the tension between what’s hard and what’s holy, sharing personal stories of grief, rage, beauty, and creativity. She reflects on the conditioning that teaches women to smile through pain, the ways we hide behind optimism, and the freedom that comes when we finally allow ourselves to be seen in every shade of our truth.
This conversation is an offering—a reminder that your presence, your essence, and your being are enough. You don’t have to rush through this season or mask the hard parts. You get to hold the darkness, create the magic, and call it all sacred.

In this potent conversation, I sit down with Yarrow Kae—a mentor, spiritual guide, healer, and clinically trained therapist who bridges ancient wisdom with modern psychology—to explore what it really means to embody the truth of who you are. Yarrow’s story is nothing short of extraordinary: at 19, she downloaded enlightenment on the dance floor of a rave, setting her on a decades-long journey of integration, nervous system healing, and self-mastery. Her work now blends somatics, depth psychology, energetics, and spirituality to help others shift at a cellular level and live from their unique magnetic vibration.
Together, we dive deep into the subtle ways our attachment patterns, shame stories, and identity constructs keep us bound—often in ways that feel “productive” or “good.” From perfectionism and people-pleasing to the spiritual bypassing that hides beneath our self-development work, this conversation unveils the unconscious habits that keep us safe but small. Yarrow shares how nervous system regulation and secure attachment create the foundation for true embodiment—and how the willingness to be radically honest with ourselves is the real portal to freedom.
If you’ve been craving deeper self-trust, or if you’re ready to stop performing the “healed” version of yourself and start living as the embodied one—this episode will speak straight to your soul. You’ll walk away feeling both challenged and seen, with new language for your own evolution and practical wisdom to anchor your healing in your body.

What happens when you realize the life you worked so hard to build doesn’t actually feel like your own? In this week’s episode of Wild & Waking, I sit down with Kathleen Pitt—The Quantum Psychic—to explore her radical journey from nurse practitioner and mom in Detroit to soul-led mentor, channel, and guide helping women step into their highest alignment.
We dive deep into the quantum field—what it is, how it works, and how it allows us to access intuition, future timelines, and miracles beyond our logical mind. Kathleen breaks down how subconscious blocks, old programming, and external validation often hold women back from their true mission, and why listening to your soul’s whispers is the most powerful strategy you’ll ever need.
Together, we explore the intersection of manifestation, time, money, and worth, reframing how we think about abundance and how to expand into overflow without the hustle. Kathleen’s perspective is both mystical and practical—rooted in her own lived experience of facing fear, choosing alignment, and witnessing firsthand how the universe rearranges itself in our favor when we honor our soul’s knowing.
Whether you’re curious about energy work, craving a deeper connection to your intuition, or simply wondering if you were made for more, this conversation will expand your perspective and ignite what’s possible for you. Tune in for a soul-stirring reminder that your vision already exists, your contracts are already signed, and infinite possibility is available when you’re willing to choose alignment over safety.

What if your worth wasn’t tied to how much you produce, how many tasks you complete, or how many boxes you check off the list? In this episode of Wild & Waking, I’m diving into a conversation so many women wrestle with: untangling our value from output and reclaiming the power of presence.
For centuries, women’s gifts—our wisdom, intuition, creativity, and nurturing—were considered sacred. Over time, productivity culture and transactional economics taught us that our worth was only as good as what we could measure, produce, or perform. This conditioning still echoes today, especially for entrepreneurs, leaders, and mothers who feel the pressure to constantly prove themselves in order to be “enough.”
I’ll share personal stories and coaching insights about what it looks like to be compensated for the intangible: your voice, your energy, your ideas, your leadership. We’ll explore the fears that come with putting your gifts out into the world, the stories we tell ourselves about rejection, and how to shift from “selling yourself” to offering transformation.
Most importantly, this episode is about remembering the truth: you are inherently worthy. Your magic doesn’t come from output—it comes from your presence, your wisdom, and your unique way of being in the world. Whether you’re navigating entrepreneurship, career, motherhood, or relationships, this conversation will remind you that the world needs you, not just your productivity.

Have you ever wondered what really happens during a Reiki attunement? In this solo episode, I’m sharing my honest, unfiltered experience from my Reiki I & II attunement weekend—a journey that unlocked new layers of magic, healing, creativity, and self-trust that I never could have anticipated.
From the moment I arrived, I realized this wasn’t just about learning a modality—it was an invitation into deeper connection with myself. What unfolded included everything from channeling unexpected poetry during meditation, to experiencing profound energetic shifts, to even hearing my baby’s name spoken to me in a way that defies explanation. These moments cracked me open and reminded me of the limitless ways our gifts can come alive when we release control and stay open to possibility.
Throughout the weekend, I was confronted with the tender questions we all face on the path of growth: If I show the real me, will I still belong? Am I doing this “right”? What if my way doesn’t look like anyone else’s? Reiki offered me the chance to practice trusting myself in real time—and to discover that the most powerful thing we can do is embrace our unique way of experiencing and expressing energy, creativity, and truth.
Whether you’ve been curious about Reiki, felt the call to explore your own intuitive gifts, or simply need encouragement to follow your curiosities into the unknown, this conversation will meet you where you are. My hope is that sharing my story reminds you that you don’t need to have it all figured out—you just need the courage to take the next step and trust that what unlocks will be exactly what you need.

Have you ever had a powerful breakthrough — an awakening, an expansion, a deep inner revelation — only to feel frustrated when it doesn’t immediately translate into your daily life? In this solo episode of Wild & Waking, Emily unpacks the truth that integration always lags behind revelation. Growth isn’t instant. Transformation takes time to embody. And the space between knowing and becoming is where much of the real work happens.
Emily shares from her own journey of unraveling old narratives, questioning inherited systems, and diving into deeper layers of personal and spiritual growth. She reflects on the tension of living between worlds — one foot in everyday life, board meetings, and school pickup lines, while the other is immersed in awakening, spiritual exploration, and big-picture questions about who we are and how we want to live. This “in-between” can feel isolating, even disorienting, but it’s also where belonging, truth, and deeper self-connection are forged.
Together, we explore the messy middle of transformation: the lag between breakthrough moments and lived embodiment, the grief that comes when old relationships no longer align, and the deep human ache to be fully seen and understood. Emily reminds us that feeling “crazy” or “too much” during this process is not a flaw but a hallmark of waking up to yourself. Awakening and integration don’t happen on the same timeline — and that’s okay.
If you’re feeling caught between who you’ve always been and who you’re becoming… if you’re hungry for belonging in the midst of your awakening… if you’re realizing that embodying your breakthroughs takes more patience than you thought — this episode will feel like a deep exhale.

In this solo episode, I’m continuing the story I began back in Episode 160 — my journey of breaking down, breaking open, and finding breakthrough on the other side. This time, I’m sharing the next chapter: my first-ever Reiki session, the wild and beautiful soul baby messages that came through, and the spiritual affirmations that left me feeling like a completely different person. If you’ve been curious about energy healing, intuitive pregnancy experiences, or spiritual breakthroughs, you’ll find so much resonance in this conversation.
I open up about what it felt like to receive Reiki for the very first time — how the practitioner worked with both my energy and the baby’s, and the powerful confirmations that matched everything I’d been hearing from my spirit team. From ancestral wisdom and my matrilineal line, to synchronicities with other intuitive healers I’ve worked with, I share the downloads that helped me see healing as less about one modality and more about following curiosity, trusting the process, and remembering what’s always been within us.

This is the initiation into your next becoming.
In part two of this sacred series with Katy Stuart, we move from remembering to reclamation. We explore what it means to rise from the rubble of old identities, to hold the sacred responsibility of your truth, and to lead—not from performance or perfection—but from deep spiritual embodiment. If part one unpacked the history of how women’s voices were silenced, this conversation is about what it takes to speak anyway.
This episode is a masterclass in sacred feminine leadership: how ancestral trauma and religious conditioning show up in our businesses, how the witch wound plays out through money blocks and self-sabotage, and how to lead in integrity when you’re walking a path that your family, community, or culture may not understand. We talk about nervous system safety, the ripple effect of authenticity, and the courage it takes to lead not just a business, but a soul mission.
This episode is for the woman who’s rising through the wreckage. Who is walking her edge. Who knows there’s no going back to who she used to be, but hasn’t fully landed in what’s next. This is for the torchbearers. The cycle-breakers. The ones who are choosing to be seen—not just for themselves, but for every woman who came before and every daughter who will follow.
It’s not about becoming someone new.
It’s about remembering who you’ve always been—and daring to lead from there.

What if the very reason you feel stuck, silenced, or afraid to take up space… didn’t start with you? What if the resistance in your body, the self-doubt in your voice, and the fear of being seen are actually ancient echoes of a system built to keep women small?
In this first half of a powerful two-part series, I’m joined by my business coach and spiritual mentor Katy Stuart for a conversation that will live in your bones. We explore the forgotten history of the sacred divine feminine—and the systemic erasure that has shaped the way women live, lead, mother, and show up in the world today. From priestess temples and womb-shaped stone altars to the violent silencing of women through witch hunts and religious colonization, we trace the long lineage of how women’s power was intentionally suppressed… and how those wounds are still alive in our nervous systems, families, and leadership.
Drawing from the deep well of Katy’s course HER, we illuminate the hidden narratives most of us never learned: the rise of the patriarchal church, the rewriting of spiritual history, the distortion of feminine wisdom, and the roots of the witch wound—both literal and energetic. This isn’t just a historical conversation; it’s an unflinching look at how centuries of systemic spiritual disempowerment still show up in modern-day business, motherhood, and personal identity.
Whether you’re spiritual or skeptical, religious or deconstructing, new to this conversation or knee-deep in the remembering, this episode will meet you where you are. It’s for the woman who has always felt like there was more. The one who’s starting to question what she was taught. The one who’s waking up and realizing: I was never broken—I was just disconnected from the truth of who I am.
Together, we name the invisible forces that have shaped us for generations—and we begin to unravel the lies. Because when you understand where the fear of being “too much” or “not enough” really comes from, you finally have the power to choose a different path.
This episode is the remembering. Part two is the becoming.

What happens when your body completely shuts down—and no one can explain why? In this behind-the-scenes solo episode, Emily invites you into the real, raw, and honestly kind of ridiculous past few weeks of her life. From first-trimester exhaustion and creative burnout to a surprise trip to urgent care where she couldn’t catch her breath, this is one of those “how is this my life right now?” updates… with a whole lot of insight and soul stirred in.
This episode is less of a lesson and more of a late-night voice memo to a friend. Emily shares what’s been coming up emotionally, physically, and energetically—including unprocessed grief, ancestral messages, and what happens when your body forces you to stop. She talks about the Celtic “three cauldrons” energy system, the connection between grief and the lungs, the unexpected clarity that came through a spiritual healer, and why she’s (reluctantly) learning to trust the timing of it all.
You’ll hear the behind-the-scenes of pushing back launches, juggling family life mid-chaos, coughing through conversations (and diapers—yes, plural), and why she’s feeling more like herself than she has in months. This isn’t a polished TED Talk—it’s a real-time unraveling and remembering.
So if you’ve been feeling off, burnt out, disconnected, or just craving a deeply human moment… this episode is here to remind you that your body is wise, the timing is divine, and the mess might just be where the magic begins.

What if the static in your life wasn’t just overwhelm—but a sign you’ve been disconnected from your deepest knowing?
In this soul-expanding conversation, I’m joined by intuitive healer and psychic medium Kelsey Anderson to explore what it means to live a soul-led life in a world that constantly asks us to outsource our power. We talk about how to reconnect with your embodied intuition, reclaim the voice of your body, and walk yourself home—especially in seasons of transition, burnout, or spiritual awakening. From energy work and intuitive healing to discernment and seasonality, Kelsey brings grounded wisdom and deep reverence to the inner work of remembering who you are.
We also explore the collective rise so many women are feeling right now—the undeniable tug toward purpose, truth, and soul alignment that doesn’t follow the old rules. Whether you’re navigating your own spiritual growth, rediscovering your soul path, or simply trying to hear yourself in the noise of it all… this episode will meet you where you are and invite you into something deeper.
Kelsey shares her journey from corporate consultant to spiritual guide, offers powerful practices to connect with your intuition in everyday life, and reminds us that our intuitive power isn’t something to earn—it’s something to remember. In this episode, I’m joined by the luminous Lisa Marie Rankin for a conversation that bridges fantasy and real-life reclamation. We explore her viral post, 5 Ways to Become a Romantasy Heroine IRL, and dive into the archetypes these fictional women embody — from the Warrior and Lover to the Sage, Dark Queen, and High Lady. Through the lens of Jungian psychology, sensuality, and sovereignty, Lisa invites us to see these characters not just as entertainment, but as invitations to become the heroine of our own stories.
But we don’t stop there. This episode also takes us deep into the untamed terrain of the Wild Woman archetype, inspired by Women Who Run With the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estés. We unpack why so many women feel a visceral pull toward this primal, intuitive energy — and how to begin embodying it in real, everyday ways. From learning to honor your desires to releasing the “good girl” conditioning that keeps us small, this part of the conversation is all about remembering the truth of who we are beneath the roles we’ve been taught to play.
Whether you're obsessed with ACOTAR, deep into your own healing, or simply craving a reminder that you are magic — this episode is a potent mix of myth, embodiment, and modern-day transformation. Lizzie McManus-Dail — Episcopal priest, creator, and author ofGod Didn’t Make Us to Hate Us: 40 Devotions to Liberate Your Faith from Fear and Reconnect with Joy. We dive deep into unlearning fear-based faith, healing from toxic theology, and reclaiming the radical joy of being fully loved by God. Whether you’re deep in deconstruction or just beginning to ask hard questions, this episode offers hope, healing, and a reminder that curiosity, nuance, and belonging were always part of the story.

Her debut book is a love letter to the disillusioned, deconstructing, and deeply hopeful.

Small town life: it’s peaceful and isolating. Sacred and frustrating. Full of deep roots and outdated norms. In this episode, I’m joined by my internet-turned-real-life soul sister, Haley Gradert, for a no-filter, heart-wide-open conversation about what it actually looks like to live, work, raise kids, and chase dreams in rural, agricultural communities.
We love where we live. But we also have some things to say about it.
We showed up with a list of our top 5 best and worst things about small town life... and as you can imagine, we didn’t exactly stick to the script. From grocery store grievances to childcare deserts, soul-level quiet to the ache of raising kids in a community that doesn’t always reflect your values—we cover it all with laughter, honesty, and a few spicy footnotes.
This one’s for the woman who loves her small town and questions it. Who feels deeply rooted and deeply restless. If you’ve ever felt like you belong—and don’t quite fit—you are so seen here.

What if the life you're craving isn't built by doing more — but by taking it all apart first?
In this soul-stirring conversation, I’m joined by leadership coach and author Lindsay Leahy to explore what it really means to live, lead, and work with intention. Through the lens of her new book Take It All Apart, Lindsay invites us to dismantle the expectations, fears, and old narratives we’ve outgrown—and rebuild from a place of truth, peace, and purpose.
We talk about the courageous work of reconnecting with yourself, the power of solitude in a noisy world, and why living with intention isn’t about checking more boxes—it’s about creating a life that feels like yours. Lindsay also shares tangible practices to help you reclaim your energy, realign your priorities, and take grounded action toward the life you’re meant to live.
If you’re standing at the edge of change, feeling the nudge to rewrite your story, or simply ready to stop settling for a life that doesn’t fit—this episode will meet you right where you are and call you forward into what's next.

Success isn’t about the perfect plan or waiting until you “feel ready.” It’s about capacity, audacity, and self-trust—and without them, you’re going to stay stuck, spinning your wheels, and wondering why things aren’t moving forward.
In this solo episode, Emily Reuschel is breaking down the real success formula for bringing your dreams to life—whether you’re starting a business, making a big life pivot, or stepping into a new, aligned version of yourself.
Capacity: You need actual space in your life—mentally, emotionally, and physically—to take action.
Audacity: You have to believe in yourself before anyone else does. Confidence isn’t something you wait for—it’s something you cultivate.
Self-Trust: No strategy in the world will work if your inner dialogue is telling you you’re a failure before you even begin.
This episode is the wake-up call and permission slip you need to start making moves. It’s time to stop waiting, start trusting, and take up the space your dreams deserve.

Healing from trauma isn’t just about talking through our past—it’s about reconnecting with our bodies. In this powerful episode of Gather in Growth, I sit down with Brittany Piper, internationally recognized speaker, Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner, and author of Body-First Healing: Get Unstuck and Recover from Trauma with Somatic Healing. Britt’s work is transforming the way we understand trauma recovery, shifting the focus from revisiting painful memories to healing through the nervous system.
If you’ve ever felt stuck in your healing journey, experienced chronic stress, anxiety, or trauma-related symptoms, or wondered why traditional talk therapy hasn’t worked for you, this episode is for you. We dive into the science behind somatic healing, why trauma is stored in the body rather than the mind, and how you can release stored survival energy to regulate your nervous system.
As someone who has been deeply inspired by Britt’s work, I couldn’t be more excited to share this conversation with you. Whether you’re on your own healing journey, supporting a loved one, or looking for somatic tools for trauma recovery, you’ll walk away with deep insights and tangible takeaways that can change the way you approach healing.

Healing isn’t just about unlearning old beliefs—it’s about giving ourselves permission to ask hard questions, challenge ingrained narratives, and rebuild our understanding of the world. In this deeply personal episode of Gather in Growth, I open up about my evolving relationship with faith, politics, and self-trust—and why I no longer feel the need to fit neatly into the boxes I once lived in.
If you’ve ever felt torn between the beliefs you were raised with and the truth you’re uncovering within yourself, this episode is for you. I share my personal experiences growing up in a small-town church, navigating ideological shifts in college, marriage, and motherhood, and ultimately finding freedom, faith, and alignment in places I never expected.
This conversation is not about changing anyone’s mind but rather holding space for curiosity, nuance, and personal transformation. My hope is that this episode encourages you to explore, question, and trust your own journey—wherever it leads.

In today’s episode, Jada Dobesh and I talk about the need to be nurtured, and how the mother wound impacts your marriage, motherhood, and self-worth. The mother wound goes SO much deeper than simply ‘my mom didn’t love me right’. It can actually present as a variety of physical symptoms in your body, and in your behaviors.
If you consistently feel like something just isn’t right in your life, or you’re always raging at your kids and your husband, you have a mother wound that needs to be addressed. Jada supports the women in her Need to be Nurtured program to do exactly this, so they can be nurtured, regulate their nervous systems, and ultimately, HEAL.

The concept of ‘black-and-white’ or ‘all-or-nothing’ thinking kept coming up for me after chatting with someone from my community. This is something that I’ve personally struggled with, and I know sooo many other women have as well, so I knew it was time to bring it here.
In today’s episode, I want to talk about breaking out of black-and-white thinking. For some reason, you think you only have two choices with EVERYTHING. You get stuck in these ‘extremes’ traps, and it’s like you can’t move forward until the ‘perfect’ conditions allow you to do so.
The black-and-white thinking is prevalent and dangerous now, more than EVER. You’re made to believe that it’s ‘you vs. them’, ‘good vs. evil’, ‘right vs. left’, and so on. But you know what?? The growth, opportunities, contentment, and pure happiness that comes from breaking FREE from this type of thinking is awaiting you on the other side! At the end of the day, your story is YOURS to write. How beautiful is that?!

In today’s episode, we talk about unbecoming, healing, and feeling through somatics and nervous system regulation. Somatics truly is a fascinating modality; it’s the language of the body, and the nervous system is the operating system of the body. When you utilize somatics effectively (which Darci dives into later - you’ll love those!), your body goes back into homeostasis.
Darci Burke is a dedicated nervous system regulation practitioner and somatic embodiment coach, and the founder of Holos Heal. She’s always been drawn to helping people, and believes that our life experience is our greatest teacher.
So often, you’ve been disconnected from your body, and more specifically, your nervous system. In order to experience true healing, you HAVE to involve the nervous system - this is what creates new patterns in your life.
Darci and I also dive into what triggers are actually showing you, how destabilizing and scary big identity ‘shifts’ can be (we’ve both experienced these), and why unbecoming is happening more and more in the second half of people's lives.

In today’s episode, we talk about breaking rules, building wealth, and being unapologetically bold. Cassie and I both want more women to WIN, and we’ve seen the beauty that comes from living more authentically and boldly in our own lives. Many of us grow up with a ‘lack’ or scarcity mindset though, and this can be hard to shake as we enter into adulthood. Cassie quickly learned that she didn’t need to marry a rich man to make her dreams come true; she could be her OWN ‘golden ticket’, and create insane wealth on HER terms!

Something I wanted to do to kick off 2025 is the 75 Hard challenge. If you’re not familiar with this, it’s definitely not a challenge for everyone. It can very much put you in the ‘all or nothing’ mentality, and that can be difficult to break out of. (Been there, done that!) While I didn’t necessarily ‘need’ this challenge right now, I WANTED to do it, even in the freezing cold winter!
In today’s episode, I want to talk about what it looks like to ‘do hard things’, and why you need to stop waiting for ideal conditions to start LIVING. If I would have tried to commit to 75 Hard last year, it would not have gone well!
Maybe you’re in a tough season with postpartum, parenting, farm life, or something else. While these seasons can be realllly freaking hard, they’re a part of our lives, and we’ve got to move through them. When we do the hard things and make it through hard seasons, we have an even deeper appreciation of all the GOOD!
I hope this episode encourages you to get out there, and embrace your ‘winter’. Stop waiting for ideal conditions (i.e. spring and summer) before you enjoy and flourish in your life. You CAN do hard things, friend - you’re strong, and capable, and I believe in you!

Burnout seems to be EVERYWHERE these days; it’s usually connected to anxiety, and is the place you land right before depression sets in. Burnout doesn’t necessarily look the same for everyone, but your body WILL send you signs that something isn’t right. Whether it’s never-ending fatigue or feeling dread (instead of joy) for the things that used to excite you, this isn’t something you can repress again and again, and expect it to go away. You HAVE to address it in order to heal and move forward!

In today’s episode, I want to talk about going ‘beyond the pale’, because this particular phrase really stuck out to me, and I believe it’s something you will resonate with as well. If you look up what this actually means (which I of course did), you’ll find that it means to act in a way that is considered outside the bounds of ‘acceptable’ behaviors or standards. It may be seen as outrageous, offensive, unacceptable, and even shocking.
I know SO many of you are currently navigating a journey of doing something different. You’re going against the grain, and you may be getting pushback from those around you because yeah…it’s shocking, and they don’t want to accept it.
So often, we betray ourselves in our lives; we completely self-abandon what we really want to do for the sake of someone else’s comfort. It feels ‘easier’ and ‘safer’ when we stay with what we’ve always known, and continue to get approval from the world around us. But...that’s never going to allow you the joy, happiness, alignment, authenticity, and true freedom that you want in your life, is it? I invite you to consider what going ‘beyond the pale’ looks like for you. What are you going to choose? What is really inviting you to step further outside of where you are now?

Today's guest (and my good friend) Kylie calls herself ‘your farm wife bestie’, but she wears many incredible hats. Like myself, Kylie has been on quite the journey of self-discovery over the last few years. She found herself in a season that felt pretty challenging and downright HARD. Kylie thought she needed to be ‘perfect’ at everything she was doing (sound familiar??), but she quickly realized she was holding herself to unrealistic standards.
In today’s episode, we talk about the concept of ‘grow, hoe, and sow’, and what cultivating joy and authentic living really looks like. As we’re at the beginning of a fresh, new year, this is the time to reflect, and get crystal clear on what intentionality you’re bringing to the year ahead.

I personally LOVE the fact that we’re able to change, and try new things, and ultimately, find what really makes us, ‘us’. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be the same person 30 years from now that I am today - I sure hope I’ve evolved since then!
I no longer feel that I need to hold myself back from exploring the depths of myself, just to make myself more ‘palatable’ for society. It's in my human design to continuously be evolving and healing and connecting, and yes..getting outside of my comfort zone.
Maybe you’re in a season of ‘questioning’ too. But maybe you’re struggling with finding the courage to dig deeper, and start expanding in ways you never have before. My encouragement for you today is to just START! Give yourself permission to explore your curiosities and passions, and be open to learning new things that may be unexpected!

Today’s episode is inspired by something I’ve recently gone through, and have friends currently navigating as well. The idea of ‘creating space’, specifically around big transitions or life changes, comes up often in my masterminds and coaching calls. As a society, we’ve grown accustomed to familiarity, and we feel like we should always know what our ‘next step’ will be.
That’s all good and well, but…what happens when you’re ready for something DIFFERENT? You don’t actually know what that ‘next thing’ is, but you’re craving more purpose, intentionality, and autonomy in your life.
In today’s episode, I want to talk about creating space, taking action, trusting yourself, and exploring the unknown. It can feel sooo scary to step out of your comfort zone - especially when you don’t have it ‘all’ figured out (because of course, you think you need to). It’s like safety and predictability have pretty much gone out the window, right?!

Our part 1 conversation with Sarah Welch was INCREDIBLE, so we’re back with part 2 today!
If you haven't had the chance to check out part 1, pause now, and go give it a listen HERE.
In today’s part 2 episode, we talk more about self-experimenting, and the beauty of embracing duality and fluidity in personal growth. Sarah takes us even deeper into perfectionism, unpacking self-sabotage, and navigating the highs and lows of evolving into your most aligned self.
Sarah and I have both experienced the difficulties that come with letting go of identities that have long been ingrained into us. We’ve had to give ourselves the space (and permission) to expand and discover new parts of ourselves. Sooo much of this comes from putting ourselves into community and conversation with others who not only show us what’s possible, but allow us to finally feel safe, and like we’re ‘enough’. In today’s part 1 episode, we talk about self-experimenting, unmasking, and the process of discovering who you really are. Sarah and I both share what it’s looked like to unpack all of our ‘stuff’ - especially after receiving our ADHD diagnoses.
Today's guest, Sarah Welch, is a self-experimenting coach who helps others get reacquainted with their most authentic selves. She experienced her own trauma while growing up; she struggled with her weight, depression, and was eventually diagnosed with ADHD. She basically felt like the ‘black sheep’ of her family. Not only did she feel lost with those around her, but even more so out in the world.
Sarah and I also dive into practical steps you can take to get to know yourself again, what ‘checking in’ with yourself can look like in your day to day life, and the concept of ‘masking’. Masking is something that I think many of us as women (and moms) relate to, because we feel that we need to show up a certain way. It leads us to focus on making ourselves more ‘digestible’ for others in society, but along the way..we become a shell of ourselves, and have no idea who the hell we are anymore.
If you’re on a journey of discovering who YOU really are, you’re going to resonate sooo much with these episodes with Sarah. This is part 1 of 2, so make sure to come back for part 2 next week as we continue this conversation!!

I’m coming to you on the other side of a trip where I had the absolute JOY of facilitating a retreat with my good friend, Kaitlin Cox. This was a rare gift that I didn’t know I needed, and goodness, did it fill my cup!
In today’s episode, I want to talk about coming home: politics, purpose, and the ripple effect. After helping Kaitlin with her retreat and hearing the raw and powerful stories from the women there, I was reminded that every single one of us has gone through ‘something’. We’ve all experienced some kind of trauma or hardship that isn’t visible to the outside world, but there is MAGIC when we come together, and share what’s on our hearts!
I know this to be the ‘ripple effect’, and I’ve seen it play out in beautiful ways in my own life. I’ve chosen to take action and heal in ways I never thought possible; this has radiated to incredible women like Kaitlin, and the work that she’s doing is radiating to the women in HER circle! It may sound a bit cheesy, but if you want to help people and make the world a better place, it starts with YOU. You heal the world by healing yourself, and you change the world by changing yourself.

In today’s episode, we talk about how to overcome people pleasing, self abandonment, and good girl syndrome. As women, we’re taught from a very young age that our value is found in what we do for others. We’re taught to give and to serve, self-sacrifice, and do it ALL with a smile on our face. We lack the inner knowing that ‘I am good’ is actually separate from WHAT we do - whether that’s in the home, in our career, at church, etc.
Sara Bybee Fisk is a Master Certified Coach and Instructor who has a passion for teaching and coaching. She teaches women how to tame the rampant people pleasing, perfectionism, and codependency that causes them so much frustration and resentment.
Sara understands that people pleasing really is the plague of womanhood, because it robbed her of time, energy, and effort for far too long. After growing up in a very conservative, religious environment, she found herself always looking for others’ approval, and questioning her worth. Sara eventually learned that yes, she was (and IS) ‘enough’, and she doesn’t need anyone’s stamp of approval to have a fulfilling and empowering life!

I wanted to achieve every milestone, achievement, and check allll the boxes. Busy became my default answer, because when we’re busy, that means we’re successful..right?
Over the last couple of years, I’ve really leaned into the concept of ‘wintering’. While we seem to be adding more and more to our calendar, Nature is instead telling us to be still, turn inward, and do less. Whether we’re experiencing pregnancy, trying to navigate postpartum, transitioning our career, or some other kind of major life change, it’s VITAL that we slow down, and honor the season we’re in.
I want to encourage you to honor your natural energy, and be present with what’s right in front of you. When you’re able to know, love, and trust yourself just as you are, you’ll be able to come home to yourself, and truly thrive, regardless of the season you’re in.

In today’s episode, Leah McCloud and I talk about harnessing your Human Design to create your dream life, true alignment, and ease in your business. Human Design is a self-awareness modality that shows you how energy works in your unique body, and how you can use (and optimize) that energy in your life. When you learn your specific Human Design type and discover how to get into alignment and ‘flow’, SO much is possible - especially as an entrepreneur!
Leah dives into the 5 different Human Design types, as well as the 7 types of ‘authority’ pieces that go hand-in-hand with your intuition. Leah and I are both generators, and for me, my intuition comes through as a ‘gut’ feeling (aka sacral authority).
I’m so, so grateful for Leah, and the wealth of knowledge that she is when it comes to Human Design. If you’re ready to harness your Human Design to create your dream life, and find true alignment and ease in your business, this is the episode for you, friend!

I’m honored to be joined by my new friend, Tracy Litt, on the podcast today!
In today’s episode, we talk about how to create safety within yourself, unpack fear and imposter syndrome, and tap into your unlimited potential. Something that every single one of us has been affected by is FEAR. While we may think fear is a negative thing and we need to move away from it completely..that’s actually not true (nor is it possible to do). Fear is lovingly trying to keep us alive! Imposter syndrome (something else I’m sure you know about) tends to show up right along with fear..except it’s a ‘crutch’ that we fall back on all too easily.
Tracy and I also dug deep into emotional addictions, why it’s VITAL that we work to clear the ‘emotional congestion’ from our bodies, how our thoughts and our intuition vary, stepping into ‘feeling our feelings’, and more.

In today’s episode, I want to give you a peek ‘behind the curtain’, and show you what life as a harvest mom really looks like. I think most of us would agree that certain seasons in life have us juggling more ‘glass balls’ than usual, which can totally throw our homeostasis off kilter!
If you’re a woman in a tough season right now (whether that’s harvest or something else), I want to urge you to PLEASE ask for help. You’re not a burden, and you can’t do it all! Modern motherhood feels so damn hard, because we were never meant to do all of this alone. We have to create these villages that we crave, and support each other where we can.
I hope this episode encourages you to give yourself grace, embrace progress over perfection, and know that you ARE enough, friend. On the other side of that hustle, survival, and burnout is a life you can be obsessed with - I promise!

I’m very grounded in where I am now, but that wasn’t always the case. I know firsthand that this personal growth journey is HARD! We want our personal growth to be perfectly laid out with a set plan in place, but...it doesn’t work like that. Our personal growth and healing doesn’t have a certain ‘end date’; it’s more of a practice of trust and release to have faith in knowing that we ARE on the path that is meant for us, regardless of how long it takes!
In today’s episode, I’m talking about cultivating confidence, sucking at something new, and taking brave action. For me, my definition of success has greatly changed over the last year. As an Enneagram 3, I used to believe success meant chasing and achieving big goals so I would be ‘enough’, and people would love me. But no...it’s doing meaningful work that I truly LOVE, and is actually making a difference in other women’s lives!

I’m VERY excited to have a special guest, Lindsy Trotter, on the podcast today! Lindsy has become one of my ‘business besties’, and someone I’ve loved getting to work and connect with on a deeper level. Our paths have crossed in multiple ways this year; she joined one of my masterminds + we both joined Suzy Holman’s mastermind, and we have a LOT in common (kind of feels like we have the same brain).
Like so many of us, Lindsy has dealt with perfectionist and overachiever tendencies, and she loved checking ALLLL the boxes. As an ADHD entrepreneur who’s an Enneagram 3, she had accomplished so much already, but was not feeling fulfilled in her business. She was struggling with what to do next, and had multiple signs telling her that something wasn’t ‘right’ in her business, with her health, etc.
Ultimately, she knew she needed to slow down, ‘unplug’ more, and make some drastic changes in her life. Now, Lindsy has a renewed sense of excitement for her business and what’s to come - she’s truly FLOURISHING!

In today’s episode, I want to talk about WHY developing your intuition can be challenging, and really, how to rebuild and reconnect with yourself so it doesn’t stay that way. I’ve talked about this a little bit on the podcast before, but as I’ve continued going deeper on my own journey, I’ve found that coming home to myself and knowing, loving, and trusting myself is such a spiritual experience that transcends consciousness. Intuition isn’t ‘flighty’ like the typical dictionary definition makes it out to be, but rather, a beautiful GIFT!
Tune in for this 2-part episode that will help you uncover why you're disconnected from your inner knowing, how to know, love, and trust yourself, and developing your intuition.

I’m BEYOND excited to welcome Suzy Holman as today’s podcast guest!
Suzy and I have been connected for quite some time - not only is she a mentor and coach to me (I’m currently in her mastermind), but she’s an all-around special person I’ve been blessed to know. Suzy is a serial seven-figure entrepreneur, business coach, and mother of four; her journey actually started on Instagram as an ‘accidental influencer’. However...she quickly realized this was not the path she wanted to stay on. She wanted a space where she COULD be her authentic self, and once she chose to show up unapologetically in that way, everything exploded in her business and her life (in the best ways possible).

In today’s episode, I want to talk about the ‘lost art of using your brain box’, and why the unshakable calling for diverse perspectives, empathy, and critical thinking matters now, more than ever. For me, I’m questioning sooo many things - I feel a bit of a disconnect, because it’s uncomfortable, and I’ve still found myself thinking about other people and their opinions. Maybe you’re feeling similarly, because you’re questioning your thoughts and beliefs that you once had, but...you’re fearful to share, due to how others may react. But you know what? I’m so BEYOND the close-minded bullshit that we’ve been in proximity with for far too long!
I believe our purpose and who we truly are is meant to evolve and grow and change. Every step of our journey will get us closer to where we’re meant to be, and surrounding ourselves with others who are doing things a little differently is a beautiful part of the process! I wish that more people today would be curious, because curiosity creates empathy. We NEED to be willing to learn from others and their diverse perspectives, instead of being so misaligned and disconnected.

I’m honored to welcome my friend, Eliza Clayton, onto the podcast today!
Eliza has a pretty incredible story of (unexpectedly) turning her husband’s dental career into a booming, six-figure business, using social media, digital products, and more. However...Eliza grew up in a devoutly religious family, and after marrying young and having children, she felt like putting her family and their needs above everyone else is what her contribution ‘should’ be forever. Building a business (or anything of her own, really) was never on her radar. She loved supporting her husband, and she was taught to prioritize his dreams, no matter what.
Eliza has learned some valuable lessons since stepping into business too. What you bring to the table does matter, and just because you don’t feel ‘qualified’ to do something, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t move forward, and take action! The success that this business has brought for Eliza and her family has tremendously impacted not only how she sees herself and her role in her family, but her overall confidence too.

I don’t know about you, but for me, this year’s games just felt different..in the best ways possible. So many women were competing, and for the first time ever, there was actually a 50/50 split between men and women! Women’s sports are definitely having their own moment right now, which I’m totally here for. I love the current movement that is women supporting and truly CELEBRATING other women too; I honestly never imagined this would be a reality for my generation, so it is pretty freaking inspirational to see! Since watching the Olympics and consuming the Olympic media in various places, I really wanted to share some of my favorite ‘nuggets’ (aka Olympic lessons) that hopefully you can implement into your own life as well.

I’m pumped to welcome my new friend, Amy Green Smith, onto the podcast today! I honestly feel she’s like my new best friend - she is SO freaking cool, and offers a very unique perspective on the topic of people pleasing (especially recovering people pleasers - I know there are many of us out there)!
In today’s episode, we cover crucial topics like people pleasing, unshakable boundaries, communicating with power, cultivating self-worth, and more. Boundaries are one of those things that can feel pretty intimidating (to both people enforcing and receiving them), but they are extremely important when it comes to your self-worth and ‘enoughness’. Taking a three-pronged approach (like Amy recommends) can be incredibly beneficial when you’re ready to get serious about your boundaries and actually implement them (the follow through is key here). The world has plenty of badass, intelligent women who are incredibly brilliant, but they tend to doubt themselves, and feel like they don’t have ‘enough’ to offer. Contrary to what society had led us to believe, we ARE allowed to feel however the heck we want to, and we shouldn’t feel ashamed or ‘less than’ for our unique life decisions.

Friends…I have a very special treat for you today! A few weeks ago, I had the honor of being part of The Goals with Soul Summit, hosted by my friend Kate House of the Live By Design Podcast! Kate is an absolute POWERHOUSE in the personal development space! I know there were SO many women from the Gather in Growth community that took part in the summit and had the pleasure of hearing from over 20 thought leaders in the personal development space. In today’s episode, Brittany MacLeod and I discuss failing spectacularly, cycle curiosity, embracing seasons of life and entrepreneurship, and more. Whatever season of life you’re currently in, it’s important to embrace this season, and think about what you actually need. Your goals don’t have an expiration date, and you also don’t have to wait for 20, 30, or 40 years from now to start living the life you actually want to live (contrary to what society will lead you to believe). I’m honored to be joined by my inspiring, powerhouse friend, Roxanne Granata, for today’s episode!
Roxanne is an Empowered Relationships Coach who specializes in healing the nervous system through Internal Family Systems (IFS - also known as Partswork) and Somatics. Her journey began a little over a decade ago when she experienced betrayal trauma with her now ex-husband, and his hidden addiction to pornography. This path was very painful and made her question herself (and even her sanity) along the way. Ultimately, it led her to experience healing that she didn’t know was possible, a newfound purpose and passion, becoming a published author, and even remarriage.

I am joined by Lisa Brennan, an incredible person who I've known for a very long time, and I've been eager to have her on the podcast for a while now!
In January 2018, Lisa and her family started a new chapter in life, after her youngest child shared she was a transgender woman. While this was unexpected and definitely came with adjustments, the Brennan family found that treasuring someone for who they truly are is magical and sacred - it doesn’t have to be scary, or something to hide.
This was a beautiful conversation, and I hope Lisa’s story encourages you to lead with love, curiosity, and openness, because doing so will only change things for the better!

Taking the path to work on yourself and really dig into the hard stuff feels like HELL when you’re in it - it’s far from easy. In today’s episode, I want to talk about the importance of knowing your own red flags - specifically, within your body. Not that long ago when I was working outside of the home, I was burning the candle at both ends and juggling ALL.THE.THINGS. I was trying to be everything for everyone, and at the time, I thought that was completely normal - I had adjusted to that way of living. I’ve put in a LOT of effort to get to a place that doesn’t feel like that anymore, but right now, things just feel sort of..hard. My body (primarily my nervous system) has been letting me know it’s feeling all of the chaos and overwhelm and exhaustion, and these feelings are completely clashing with the alignment and peace that it craves (and is now used to).

The work that I’ve been doing the last few years has pushed me to help others step outside of their comfort zones, challenge expectations, and break through limiting beliefs. I’ve LOVED getting to do this, but I’ve also come to the realization that I’m still holding myself back when it comes to questioning, and going against the norm. Maybe you can relate to this in some way; if you can, I want you to give yourself permission to dream, and do, and simply just approach things in a fresh, and different way.

My original plan for this episode was to do more of a ‘vlog’ style, because I recently traveled to a retreat I invested in for myself; I thought it would be fun to share what was happening as I was going through everything! I didn’t end up going that route (mainly because my brain kind of felt like mush every night when I planned to record, due to the fun-filled days and super late nights). I felt surprisingly calm going into this retreat experience, because I put little expectations and stress on myself. I chose to go into this with an open mind, and BOY, now that I’m on the other side and back home with my family, I feel like the next evolution of my business is just bubbling inside of me, waiting to come out in entirely new ways!

Ashlea and I talk more about what it can look like to ‘simplify to amplify’ in all aspects of our life. Growing up in a generation that’s big on ‘quitters don’t win, and winners don’t quit’, we think that chasing (and achieving) the next big thing will FINALLY make us feel like we’re enough, and prove our worth. Unfortunately, this is why soooo many of us are frazzled, overwhelmed, and pretty much drowning in the day to day. Instead of trying to do ALL.THE.THINGS, what if we chose to focus on one specific thing that we were lit up about, and actually made sense in our current season of life?
Ashlea Stricker is a farm wife, mom of 3 boys, and hairstylist living in a rural town in central Iowa. When she’s not chasing her boys or helping out on the farm, you can find her reading her favorite book, or watching Gilmore Girls (with a coffee in hand, and of course, avoiding laundry at all costs). Ashlea is a big dreamer and she loves cheering others on - she is a self-proclaimed cheerleader and your biggest hype girl!

In today’s episode, I want to talk about why it’s SO hard to ask for help, and even more, why you should be doing so. Women (and especially moms) are praised for being helpers, and putting everyone else first, while their needs are constantly pushed on the backburner. I mean...I myself am a thirty-something millennial mom living rural, who also was ingrained with the high-achieving, ‘do it all’ mentality for most of my life. Yeah...you could say it felt pretty unnatural for me to ask for help with my kids, house, etc., at first!
I know it’s SO hard to ask for help, but at the end of the day, YOU are in charge of building a beautiful life that lights you up. Sometimes that means being vulnerable, and allowing your loved ones to support you where you need it, so you can flourish in this life!

In today’s episode, I want to talk about seasons of change, and what happens as we continue piling on more duties, goals, responsibilities, etc., to our (already) overflowing plates. Our plates can be abundantly full of things we love and enjoy, but when we continue adding without removing anything, we start to feel exhausted, drained, and ultimately, like we’re not ‘enough’. So many of us fall into the trap of chasing achievement and praise, and we think that if we choose to shift our priorities and give something up along the way, we’ll be deemed a failure. I’m here to tell you that this is NOT the case.

I’m excited to have my amazing friend, Calli Thorne, as today’s podcast guest! Calli and I are talking all about mindset and mental health, and what the work looks like when you’re truly ready to change your mindset. Changing your mindset is a paradigm shift, and you HAVE to be willing to dig into the thoughts and feelings you’re having on a daily basis, if you want to change your circumstances. We’re also discussing what mental health first aid is, why it’s important that we take time to listen and give people a chance to share how they’re (really) doing, how to start having more conversations about mental health with your loved ones (especially when those deep-rooted, intergenerational stigmas are very present), and more.

I’m joined by my wonderful friend, Kaitlin Cox, for today’s episode! Kaitlin and I are talking about loss, healing, and empowerment, and what it looks like to pursue true alignment and purpose. We’re discussing how the power of intentionality and tenacity can support you with no longer fearing failure, leaning into your faith during life’s many ups and downs, not getting ‘bogged down’ with the big picture, Kaitlin’s podcast and her new, upcoming event to inspire and bring more women together in community, and more.
Kaitlin Cox is a multifaceted individual whose life weaves through the landscapes of rural living, the heart of a bustling home, and the creativity of a hairstylist's studio. With a warm heart and a hands-on approach to life, Kaitlin embraces the roles of a farm wife, devoted mother to her energetic boys, passionate hairstylist & educator, and the voice behind her podcast, Emerging as Me.

Kari Jo and I are talking all about the power of the pivot, and what it looks like to take riskier pursuits alongside a more ‘safe’ career choice. We’re digging into the importance of gaining clarity and really shifting your perspective when it comes to living your life (without letting other people’s opinions factor into this), how a high achievement-oriented personality can show up for business owners, the whirlwind of emotions that come with going in a completely new direction in business, mindset blocks and limiting beliefs that tend to plague many entrepreneurs, and more.
Kari Jo was born and raised in rural West Central Illinois. She grew up with a passion for agriculture and pursued a doctorate of veterinary medicine (DVM) at Oklahoma State University. Less than a year after graduating, she started a side hustle selling t-shirts online to help pay for plane tickets home. Little did she know that this would grow into (mostly) her full-time job. There have been a few twists and turns through the years, but she still loves practicing 2 days a week, and even owns an event venue downtown in her hometown.

In today’s episode, I want to talk about why you should commit to an endurance challenge. Running is such a beautiful example of how you can show up for yourself, and it’s also a powerful lesson in goal setting. While it’s one thing to say you’re going to run or train for a certain event, it’s an entirely different thing to actually commit, and do the dang thing! When you push past the limits of what you think is possible, it unlocks an entirely new capacity for what IS possible in your life.

Multiple times throughout my life, I’ve learned HOW important it is to lean into my own intuition, instead of playing by other people’s rulebooks. We all have that gut feeling, and little ‘inner knowing’, but so often, we’re afraid to tune into it (or we’ve forgotten how to). I even experienced this with my most recent Ascend retreat event, and the way I went about planning and marketing for it. While I believe it can be helpful to get other people’s perspectives, in the end, you have to be able to trust that you really DO know what’s best, and what will yield the most fruitful outcome.

Jada and I are talking about the divine feminine and mother wounds, and how much masculine versus feminine energy comes into play here. The concept of ‘more’ can be so detrimental, because as women, we are always being told to go and DO more. Even if we are doing all.the.things, we still hear that what we are doing isn’t enough, and this negatively impacts us further. We’re also digging into the very precarious topic of mother wounds, and how this impacts both females and males, and the entire family dynamic. Mother wounds require a LOT of bravery to feel and explore, but it can feel nearly impossible to actually FEEL what is needed. When mother wounds go unnoticed or untreated, the lasting effects can show up completely off-kilter for husbands and wives, feelings of unworthiness become more ingrained in us, and we don’t pay any attention to the beautiful gift that is our intuition.

I’m excited to be joined by my friend, Jada Dobesh, on the podcast today! Jada and I connected in fall 2023, and we both share a passion for educating and inspiring women (especially in rural communities). We want to help women deeply understand and know themselves completely, so they actually can grow, heal, and thrive for years to come! In today's episode, Jada and I are talking about understanding and embracing your cycle, and what each phase of your cycle entails.
Jada Dobesh is a Spiritual Healing Facilitator and the creator of Selah Space, a holistic wellness co-op in Sioux Falls. In her work, Jada offers her clients the space and the practices to heal their spirituality, sexuality and self-worth. Jada intentionally honors her client’s spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional well-being in her practice. Jada is delighted to share about the wisdom of the feminine body and its 5th vital sign, the menstrual cycle; womb energy and women’s reproductive health; generational wounds and the healing of mother wounds in women who are “technically fine.” When she’s not cultivating healing within the walls of Selah Space, a place for members and practitioners to come together in one space to help one another become well, Jada is mama to Audrey, age 5 and Marek, age 3, and wife to Witt. Jada’s education includes Bachelor of Arts degrees in Clinical Psychology and Theology/Youth Ministry and graduate degrees in Christian Leadership and Spiritual Direction. She is also certified in Master Level Reiki Healing and Brainspotting.

In today’s episode, I want to talk more about what happens when it’s been a hard week, and our emotions are allll over the place. For me personally, I’ve been intentional about personal growth and healing for several years now, but my brain will still default to old patterns of negative thinking when I’m feeling burned out, or just plain sad. While I don’t want to stay stuck spiraling into these negative thoughts and beliefs, I’ve learned to get comfortable with them, acknowledge them, and move on. Feeling a full range of emotions is a GOOD thing - I’m constantly working on this with my kids, because crying and releasing pent up emotions is necessary!

In today’s episode, I want to talk more about the domino effect, and how this shows up so often in our lives. When you choose to move forward with your goals and dreams (however big or small they may be), it’s important to let go of those unnecessary expectations you’ve (more than likely) set for yourself. These decisions, and the action you’re choosing to take in the present, will impact your life, not only 6 months from now, but 6 years from now. Truthfully, your life is a culmination of the decisions you have made up until this point. Not making a decision IS a decision in itself.

I thought I would be a teacher for the rest of my life - I loved what I did in my teaching career, as well as the non-profit space. But, being able to exceed my teacher salary by SO MUCH, and not have to leave my family to go to a job for a set amount of hours has been indescribable.
I hope this episode not only encourages you, but lights a fire within you to step out, and pursue your passion. Whatever you’re considering doing and working toward, please know that all of it IS possible (and then some). I’m joined by my dear friend, Ellan Ruskamp, on the podcast today! Ellan and I are talking about mindset, grief, and growth, because she has experienced every single one of these things in her life recently. We’re digging into the struggles of imposter syndrome while also keeping up with the Joneses as a business owner, showing up as your truest, authentic self (instead of how you think you ‘should’ present yourself), choosing intentionality and alignment instead of the never-ending hustle that society pushes on us, and much more.
Ellan Ruskamp is a farm wife & boy mama from rural Nebraska. When she’s not chasing kiddos or helping out on the farm, she enjoys getting in touch with her creative side through her business, Midwest Marigold. In today’s episode, I want to talk about why your mindset matters - especially when sh*t happens that you totally didn’t plan on. I keep hearing from others about how brave, optimistic, and strong I’ve been throughout this entire process. While I’ve experienced a variety of emotions, I can tell that the personal growth I’ve done over the last few years to nurture my mindset has really come into play. I honestly can’t imagine facing this type of situation any other way! I fully understand that I DO have the capacity to do hard and (often) uncomfortable things, and I also know I’m not alone when I do, because I choose to surround myself with others who are striving for growth and intentionality in their lives too.
Maybe you aren’t dealing with a flood like I am, but you’re probably dealing with something, because, well..sh*t happens. Your mindset is never going to be perfect, but choosing to put in the work on yourself will make a HUGE difference when life goes haywire. This whole ordeal has greatly impacted our family, but my husband has been a superhero, my kids have been major troopers, and we’ve truly appreciated all of the love and support during this time. At the end of the day, we’re safe, and we’re together, and that’s what really matters!

In today’s episode, I want to talk about what’s fueling our perfectionism, and fear of failure. I wholeheartedly believe that our fear of failure and need for perfectionism did NOT just appear out of thin air. That doesn’t mean we need to blame others for the upbringing and influence we had, but we know so much more than we did 20 or 30 years ago, which is powerful!
While perfectionism, fear of failure, imposter syndrome, etc. can be really tough on our own, there is magic in being connected with other women who are experiencing very similar challenges. They get it, and they’re in it with you! I love that I have this platform to have these tough (but very necessary) conversations, and I’m grateful you’re here doing the work with me!

Alli and I are talking about all things money and finances, and she wants to continue making money more conversational (instead of a far-off, scary thing that nobody wants to think about). We’re diving into limiting beliefs that can keep you from achieving your financial goals, simple steps to take when you’re starting to focus on your money, what it looks like to have those necessary money conversations with your partner (even when it feels really uncomfortable), and more.
Alli is the founder and CEO of FinanciALLI Focused, a financial literacy company helping people create a flexible financial plan they can actually stick to (no deprivation here). She paid off over six-figures of debt while still saving, investing, and buying season football tickets. Alli’s work has been featured on Business Insider, Nerdwallet, and more. With the current season of life I’m in (newborn phase with my 3rd babe, owning my own business, the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, etc..you get it), I was struggling to come up with something specific to talk about today. I asked my podcast manager, Jill, to come on and ask me some questions in hopes of sharing something valuable (or at least, entertaining) with you, so that’s exactly what happened!
In today’s episode, I want to talk about my postpartum struggles, and what is going on for me in this current season. I’m continually being reminded that some seasons are tougher than others, and while this time is one that I have SO much gratitude for, it’s also really freaking hard. I’m excited to chat with a very fun guest, Brandi Buzzard, on the podcast today! Brandi and I dive into a variety of topics, like the collective ‘wake-up call’ that more and more people are experiencing in our society (especially post-pandemic), the hustle and always ‘do more’ mentality that many ag and farming families grapple with, being willing to start those really hard conversations with your loved ones when necessary, and more. There’s nothing wrong with wanting and doing more when it comes to your farm, career, finances, etc. But..at the end of the day, the MORE shouldn’t be taking you away from your family, and keep you working yourself into the ground forever.

There can be a very real and isolating feeling that happens when you’re shifting your identity, and/or doing something different, and you receive judgment or disapproval from family and friends. I want you to approach this season staying grounded and remaining confident in your choices-it’s important to remember WHY you’re doing what you’re doing. I’m very excited to be joined by the amazing Courtenay Dehoff on the podcast today! Courtenay grew up in the thick of agriculture (which she loved), and she eventually landed her dream career as a television host. She felt like she had checked allll of the boxes when it came to her career and life, and while everything looked good on paper, she had never been more miserable or unfulfilled. Ultimately, she knew she needed to ‘come back home’ to her cowgirl roots, and integrate that world with her new city girl lifestyle.
Courtenay now embraces her unique cowgirl roots and proudly stands out in a world of cookie cutter on-camera personalities. Armed with a passion to share stories on her own terms and give prominence to the agriculture community, Courtenay has utilized her expert storytelling skills to show being a cowgirl isn't how you look, where you live, or even the lifestyle you lead - it’s a state of mind. Courtenay even created Fancy Lady Cowgirl, a powerful community of women from all over the world who have a passion for the ag lifestyle, and really embrace their cowgirl spirit. On today's episode, I have Emily Matzke as a guest! One of the most beautiful things about Emily is she’s very clear on what she wants to do with her life. She always knew she was meant to be in agriculture - she really is her happiest and freest self when she’s involved with the farm. Emily has been super intentional about following her passions and choosing to do work that lights her up, instead of staying stuck in a traditional job that did just the opposite. She continues to do a variety of work in agriculture, and she loves showing others a complete 360 view of what life can look like in this space.
Emily is laser-focused on building a life with intention, and she is totally your go-to girl when it comes to agriculture and farm life. Even though this pregnancy has been harder on my body than my first two, I’ve felt completely different in a lot of ways too. I’ve learned so much when it comes to my health and habits over the last few years; it’s the whole ‘when you know better, you do better’ concept. Since we’re approaching the end of 2023, Kiah and I thought it would be beneficial to dive more into habits and share some tactical tools and takeaways to help you re-evaluate your current habits, or re-establish new ones all together. We both feel very passionately about habits, because they can really enhance the FULL 360 view of your life. The power of tiny habits has majorly impacted our businesses, health journeys, and personal growth journeys.
Kiah Twisselman Burchett, better known as Coach Kiah, is a California cattle rancher turned motivational speaker, life coach, and podcaster. She’s on a mission to empower others to love themselves deeper, care for themselves better, and find joy in this messy, beautiful journey of life. After battling with her own weight and body image from a young age, she embarked on her own personal health journey losing over 100 pounds, but more importantly, the mental weight she had been carrying with her for years. Named one of Cowgirl Magazine’s 2023 Top 30 Under 30, Coach Kiah uses her vulnerability and infectious energy to show others how to overcome hardships, cultivate confidence, and become the main characters in their own lives.

Yes, this podcast is totally about the beautiful journey of personal growth and how powerful intentionality is in our lives! But..if you’re struggling right now, and really in the thick of it, you are definitely not alone, because I’ve been there. There comes a time when things start to feel hard and uncomfortable on your personal growth journey. It would feel MUCH easier to just throw in the towel and simply float through life without a goal or care in the world. While no one ever said this work would be easy (working on ourselves never is after all), it IS worth it.

While Maddy’s life ‘looked’ good on paper and checked all of the boxes, she was far from fulfilled, and had actually reached a new level of burnout in her corporate career. She had dreamed of coming back to working alongside her husband on their farm, but was unsure of how to actually make that happen. She continued having a strong, internal pull to change her situation, and make her dream a reality. After going through a lot of hard work, tears, masterminds, and coaching calls, Maddy eventually gained the clarity and confidence to pursue something that was fulfilling for her, and still contribute to her family financially. Maddy has truly gone from misaligned to living on purpose, and I can’t WAIT for you to hear her amazing story!

On today's episode, I had the honor of sitting down with my sweet friend, Lindsay Wineinger. We’re talking all about Lindsay’s story and the incredible work she’s doing in her community, as well as the powerful transformation she’s experienced over the last year (and is still going through) in her own life.
When we’re listening to podcast interviews or watching someone’s journey somewhere else, so often it looks like they’ve already ‘achieved the thing’, and it makes us feel like it’s not possible for us. Lindsay is currently right in the middle of launching into some new and amazing things in her life though, and is experiencing some massive personal growth. She really shares a fresh and relatable perspective, and I LOVE that she is bringing more light and inspiration into the world. I can’t wait for you to hear her story as she absolutely went from burning out to shining bright, and everything that’s happened on her journey!

Now, she shares allll of her amazing homesteading knowledge with the world, and she even has a new book coming out in Fall 2023.
Jill Winger is the founder of The Prairie Homestead, one of the foremost homesteading websites since 2010. Let’s talk about the big ole elephant in the room that so many of us are secretly grappling with, but no one seems to be talking about: the moments, days or weeks as entrepreneurs where we spiral into self doubt and want to burn the whole thing down (iykyk).
Don’t get me wrong, being an entrepreneur is the BEST: choosing the type of work you’re doing, who you’re working with, what your schedule looks like, creative freedom and more.
It’s also really freaking hard.
Because YOU are the business, entrepreneurship can bring out our biggest insecurities, especially when things go awry. I’ve struggled with my fair share of self doubt and confidence throughout my entrepreneurial journey, but I’ve learned a whole lot of the ebbs and flows of business along the way. These days, I’m much better equipped to handle those spiral out type moments and don’t stay stuck in those hard moments for nearly as long as I used to.
In today’s episode, I want to share some thoughts and strategies to help you do the same so you can get back to the momentum, energy, and impact that you love in your business!

One year ago, a HUGE dream of mine was coming to life…launching a podcast! Between my personal journey, the conversations we’ve had on this show, countless lessons learned, new perspectives, and overall growth, this year has truly been one like no other. I’m so grateful to YOU for making Gather in Growth what it is today.
I've had the joy of interviewing some incredible women who inspire me and have beautiful stories to share. I’ve learned so much about myself, the world, and you along the way and I’m so excited to share pieces of that with you in this very special anniversary episode. In each guest interview, I ask the question “what does personal growth mean to you” and we have compiled each guest’s answer to make today’s episode extra special.
Over the last 12 months, there’s been a huge transformation in me and in my life. I’ll also be sharing how my perspective of personal growth has shifted over the last year.

In today’s episode, I want to dig into some simple ways to change your life today. When we start making changes with our health, personal growth, career, etc., it’s easy to feel overwhelmed when trying to do everything at once. I’ve been seeing a common thread in many spaces lately about communication in marriage, and what that looks like-especially when experiencing conflict. I knew my friend, Ashley Machado, would be the perfect person to bring on and share more about how to talk so your spouse will listen.
Ashley Machado is a Tedx speaker and has been selected as a 2023 FFA Change Maker. She is rethinking the way we support mental health in the food and ag space. She specializes in tangible tools and simple strategies through mental health training and education for ag families and businesses alike. Ashley grew up in the dairy industry and now farms and ranches with her family in California’s central valley. She has her BA in human development and masters in social work with an emphasis in clinical mental health. Her goal is for everyone in the ag industry and rural America to have the tools they need in their mental health toolbox to operate and live life fully.

In today's episode, I’m sharing something I’ve never really talked about extensively. For some reason, it’s been on my heart and my mind to talk about how, when, and why I reconsidered my relationship with alcohol. This is something that has looked very different for me in various seasons of my life, but it’s also impacted me in powerful ways. I know this is very personalized and unique for everyone, but I feel like there are some pieces of my process and journey that you will resonate with too. I hope this at least serves as an invitation for you to reevaluate anything in your own life, and not be afraid to make positive changes when you feel called to do so!

On today’s episode, I’m challenging you with the question: Is Your Comfort Zone Holding You Back? When we have a dream on our heart, when we want to start something new, when we want to go against the grain - we think about everything that could go wrong. What if others judge me? What if this fails? What if I fail? All of these fears are normal because our brain is quite literally designed to keep us safe. You all know how strongly I believe that you have the capability to bring any goal or dream to life. As I reflect on what I’ve learned over the past several months of my healing journey, I’ve come to realize my own attachment between achievement and worthiness, productivity and feeling like enough. It’s officially planting season in our neck of the woods. I don’t know about you, but that means our family’s schedule gets turned upside down, sometimes for weeks on end. If you’re a farm wife, busy season might look different depending on your location, operation, or your role. If you’re not in agriculture, there may be a different time of year that looks extra chaotic compared to others. In today’s episode, I’m going to share the things I’ve learned on how to navigate busy seasons, such as planting and harvest, as a farm wife.
Even when I know it’s coming and what to expect, it can still be a lot. To be honest, sometimes it’s downright HARD. Thankfully, over the past seven years of living on the farm, I’ve come to understand what I can do to set myself up for success. I hope there’s a nugget or two in this conversation that will help you and your family on your own journey!

“How did you quit your 9-5?” I get asked that question all the time. I've been hesitant to share my answer because I don’t feel like my story is one that anyone should look to for any sort of game plan or advice. But, it has gotten me to where I am today nonetheless. So in today’s episode, I’ll share my story of how I left my full time career to start my own business. I hope that you’re able to take pieces of my story to gain inspiration on your own journey!

Today I have the honor of being joined by my sweet friend, Jenny Roth, to talk about having permission to build a life and business that you love. Back in October, there was a day where I reached out to several people to get myself the help I needed; both personally and professionally. One of those people was Jenny. Jenny is a copywriter and she and I have been working together ever since. She has blessed my life and I know she’ll bless yours too.
Jenny Roth is a conversion copywriter for business owners and personal brands. She specializes in joyful, strategic copy that generates leads and welcomes your clients with open arms. Her mission is uncovering words that will resonate most with your clients, so you can have higher converting, fun-to-read copy, without spending hours upon hours at your keyboard to make it happen. Jenny started her copywriting business back in 2014, working very part-time when her three daughters were small, to going full-time now that her kids are all in school. When she isn't writing, you can find her hanging out with her husband and three daughters in beautiful, windy South Dakota where they love to camp, swim in the Missouri river, raise chickens, and ride bikes.

Today we’re digging into some things to keep in mind, and mindset shifts to make, as you pursue big goals in a small town. I recently asked my instagram audience about their biggest struggles as a small town dreamer and unsurprisingly, soooo many women shared nearly identical pain points. Whether you’re expanding the farm, building a business, starting to share online, beginning a health journey, jump starting a fundraiser - whatever it is - the struggles were similar all across the board. Between the weight of expectations, opinions of other people, fear of judgment, and not having support from family and friends, these things are felt collectively and can make a huge impact on the way we show up and pursue the dreams on our heart.
In today’s episode, I’m going to share a few things to consider, offer a different perspective, and some mindset shifts to hopefully encourage you to keep going and to also make sure you know you aren’t alone.

Dairy Girl Fitness was created almost five years ago as Emily's way to show others that you don't need to cut dairy and other animal products out of your diet to be “healthy.” She wants to encourage women to make their health a priority, and show that it doesn't have to be extreme or confusing. Today we have a very special kind of episode planned for today. Last month, I had the incredible honor of hosting my first ever ASCEND retreat for rural women in Destin, Florida. And on the final day of our weekend, one of my coaches and dear friend, Coach Kiah, pulled each woman at the retreat aside and asked them a series of questions about their experience.
My podcast manager and I wanted to use this audio to put together an episode to, first of all, serve as a beautiful tribute and keepsake for the incredible women who attended this very special, incredible first ever ASCEND retreat, and also as a tangible way to explain just what kind of magic is in store throughout the ASCEND experience.

I am bringing you a very impromptu episode today about how sometimes feeling better is not the same as healing. I’m currently in the middle of a healing and self discovery journey, and the episode that was originally planned for this week just didn’t feel right. So instead, today you’ll meet Kristen Rogers. She is a dear friend whom I met through the mastermind that we both participate in. The morning that we recorded this episode, we had been messaging back and forth about our healing journeys. On the fly, I asked her if she’d hop on a call and record an episode on the topic with me... And she agreed! I adore and admire her so deeply and know you’re in for a treat as she shares so much wisdom, experience, and encouragement.

In today’s episode, I share my candid thoughts on the intertwined connection between healing and growth. This conversation was sparked by a message on social media where someone from our community was sharing her own story and realization. Honestly, since that message my wheels have been really turning on what it means to grow alongside a healing journey. We often think that if we take the time to stop and focus on healing, that everything else has to pause and it will hold us back from growth. However, I’m learning that giving myself space to heal is actually allowing room for expansive growth in ways that I never saw coming.

In today’s episode, I unpack WHY we procrastinate and what to do about it. I get extra vulnerable with you as I share the nitty gritty of my lifelong struggle with procrastination. I share a few things I’ve done over the past year to gain self awareness around why procrastination is my default and tools that have made my life easier and set me up for success. If you tend to push things off until the last minute, I’m sure that you can relate to the embarrassing stories I share and find a trick or two that will be helpful in your own journey.

Today’s conversation with my dear friend, Katrina Klooster, is all about building habits and answering the question “what do you actually want your life to look like?” Katrina Klooster is a life and business mindset coach for new entrepreneurs. She helps women who know they were made for more build the mindset to courageously go after what they really want. Instead of focusing on what everyone else wants them to do or what they think they should do, Katrina helps women do the inner soul searching to find out who they are without their masks, what they really want and what's getting in their way. She then helps them create a personalized plan to create more of what they want. Through this work, Katrina's clients are able to show up as their truest selves and make the massive impact they know they were here to make in their lives and businesses.

Today is the day…my very first podcast episode! Welcome to Gather in Growth! Creating this show has been a long time coming and I am beyond excited it’s finally here. I recorded this episode the moment I plugged in my new podcast equipment… way too late at night, coming off of being sick, and in my dining room with poor acoustics and all. Part of me wanted to re-record in favor of a perfectly polished first episode, but I ultimately decided that 300 episodes from now I want to look back and smile on where it all began. This episode is as real as it gets. After all, imperfect action is what gets us from where we are to where we’re going and I hope this episode empowers you to do it scared. Thank you for joining me for this crazy journey!
