Hello!
Welcome to Stark Right Here!
This past weekend I attended two events, both held at Stark Parks!
Friday The John Hampu Band performed at walborn Reseveroir, and Saturday Sippo Lake Park, celebration of their 100thPark Run!
Friday evening I went out to Walborn Resevoir to listen to the best band in Musical enternment, The John Hampu Band! An amazing performance from this band who has been playing since 1985!
They band performed for classic rock hits for two hours. The real treat was seeing john Hampus grandsons playing Saxaphone alongside him! His grandson Ethan is 14 and has been playing since he was 5, and luke is 13 and has been playing for 5 years. I think it is truly wonderful when the younger generation is involved with their grandparents, and playing music together is something extra special.
I enjoyed meeting John, his grandsons, and other members of his band, some whom have been with him for decades. I recorded some interviews, but unfortunately I did not have the sound correctly dialed in, I apologize, I am still very new at this and am learning as I go.
Your next chance to see The John Hampu Band will be in Louisville Ohio on Sept 10thfor Louisvilles Constitition festival.

Good Morning! I am out here at Sippo Lake, a stark Park. Today they are celebrating their 100th park run!
Park Run is a free event held on Saturday mornings. This is not a run meant for competition. It’s a great trail, marked out, that you can do every weekend and see your own improvements.
Over 100 people showed up for todays event. Sarah Casper was the first female to cross the finish with a time of 26:51 and Aaron Carey was the first male to cross the line with a time of 21:10. There was a great mix of people ranging from ages 11-70,s, people with strollers and people with their four legged furry friends.
