De Wit also recounted his near-death experience after using meth, falling to the ground and being found 12 hours later in his flat. Doctors gave him until midnight to live unless they could find a brain bleed - luckily, they did.

Actor and writer Willy De Wit told Mel Homer on The Sunday Cafe the story of how he nearly got attacked by Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger's security after "tapping him on the shoulder".
He told Homer that once he saw Jagger at a private event, standing alone, he took the opportunity to go introduce himself.

In early 2014, professional wakeboarder Brad Smeele had it all. He was living in Florida, partying, meeting new people, and making a living from his successful career as one of the world’s top professional wakeboarder.
However, his life took a traumatic turn in July of that year, when a wakeboarding trick went horribly wrong and left him a quadriplegic.
Attempting to land a double backflip during training, Smeele shattered his C4 vertebra after landing on his neck.
Speaking on Sunday Café, Smeele told Mel Homer he knew the trick had gone wrong 'immediately', being '90 degrees short' of a safer fall.
