MDiv student Hannah Hawksbee shares her experiences growing up in a missionary context in South America, her thoughts on leaving Regent this year, and what we have to learn from Liberation Theology.
Mo Hickman is a first year MATS student at Regent with a specific interest in Christianity and the arts. Mo joined us to talk about her upbringing on the east coast of Canada, her vision for arts in the church, and the ways in which Christians should be relating to art to begin with.
Dr. George Guthrie is Professor of New Testament at Regent College and a highly sought-after lecturer, who has taught across North America, as well as in East Asia, the United Kingdom, Germany, South Africa, and Israel. Before coming to Regent in 2018, he taught for twenty-eight years at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, where he served as the Benjamin W. Perry Professor of Bible and Fellow in the Ryan Center for Biblical Studies.
Kaeli Joyce is a Regent MDiv Candidate as well as an RCSA Member-At-Large. Kaeli joined us to talk about her journey to Regent as well as her work and research in the field of chaplaincy.
Rikk Watts served as Professor of New Testament at Regent College from 1996 to 2016. His areas of speciality include the Gospels, the book of Isaiah, and the way the New Testament uses the Old Testament. Rikk joined me today to talk about his journey from Aeronautical Engineer to Biblical Scholar, and to promote his upcoming summer course on the Gospel of Mark. Rikk explains why Mark is worth studying, what it means to follow Jesus as Lord in today's world, and how the gospel has shaped and continues to shape western culture.
Bob Ekblad has been involved at Regent as a sessional instructor, and currently works in various ministries and social justice initiatives which involve everything from charismatic spirituality, to prison chaplaincy to sustainable farming practices. In this episode, Bob shares a bit of his personal testimony and life story, and then he answers some of my questions regarding spiritual gifts, prophecy, and liberation, and speaks directly to the experiences of Regent college students here in Vancouver.
We are joined by Regent student and local pastor, Bella Brasil Holanda to chat about her journey coming from Brazil to Regent, the experiences of international students, and the challenges we all face when we leave home behind to come join the Regent community!
Are indulgences still a thing? What is God? Are dolphins people? Regent student John Nolan joins us to discuss these pressing questions as well as how he ended up coming to Regent from his home in the wilderness of Virgina.
Was Job a real person? Is Regent more fun as a student or as a professor? Is there any correlation between the Nephilim and Sasquatch? We got to hang out with Regent College Associate Professor of Old Testament, Matthew Lynch, to address these sorts of pressing questions!

Regent student and RCSA Member Sandra Park joins us to discuss her experiences of adjusting to life in Canada, and the challenges that international students face in joining the Regent community.

I should probably know seeing as though I have been in charge of it for several months now, but we still sat down with previous ETC. editor Steven Gomez to talk about the history and purpose of ETC., as well as musing about the nature of art, the existence of ghosts, and the experiences of baristas.
