First and foremost this show is NOT about degrading or disrespecting anyone in the Education industry. We respect our teachers and educators; they are overworked and underpaid, for the most part, and deserve our support and respect. Rather, this is an exploration of things that each of us, at some point in our lives thought, "Gee, I wish I had known that before I became an adult."
A lot of times kids struggle with their self esteem or confidence issues and that can hinder them as they leave school and head out into the world. In this episode I speak with Susan Howard; an educator, mother and author about her new book Matilda Mae Wears Confidence. We talk about some of the ways a lack of confidence presents and what we as educators and parents can do to help boost a child's confidence.
You can follow Susan on Facebook to keep up to date with all of her new books in the Matilda Mae series.
In this episode my guest Tammy Johnston and I talk about teaching young people how to be entrepreneurs. How important entrepreneurs are to the U.S. (and Global) economy and how things might look differently if we taught basic skills.
