In this episode Katy chats to two new(ish) members of Carers Link’s staff – Claire and Veronica.
Claire works on our wellbeing project and talks about why you should get in touch, and what she can do to help.
Veronica is our new fundraising administrator and discusses how she hopes to increase donations to Carers Link. One way is to sign up to do this year’s Glasgow Kiltwalk, which you can do at https://www.thekiltwalk.co.uk/events/glasgow. Choose your length and then when you register type Carers Link as your chosen charity.
The Lowdown Episode 54
In this office banter episode Katy talks to Jonny and Patricia, two new members of staff at Carers Link.
They chat about their new roles and how they hope to support carers. Jonny talks about young carers, and the different roles they take on, and how he has found head teachers really supportive. Patricia discusses how a carer’s wellbeing can get ignored and how important it is for the carer to have someone who listen’s and affirms their difficulties.
You will also get to find out a bit about the things they like to do when not working – and there is a surprise skill!
