With a Masters Degree in dentistry, Dr. Haas holds staff teaching positions at Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children and the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry.

Dr. Haas is a Fellow and recent endodontic examiner at the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. He has given and continues to give numerous continuing education courses and lectures to general dentists and dental specialists at various universities, international endodontic conferences and dental societies around the world. Dr. Jordan Sanders is a general dentist and the principal dentist at Knox Mountain Dentistry, the newest dentist office in Kelowna.
Dr. Jordan Sanders grew up in Vernon, attended university at UBC Okanagan in Kelowna and received his dental degree at UBC Vancouver. Other than the 4 years that his wife Laura and Jordan spent in Vancouver for dental school, He has always lived in the Okanagan Valley. Along with his wonderful wife Laura, he has a young daughter named Everly, a son named Ben and a French bulldog named Arthur.
Born in St. John’s Nfld, Jan was only two when the family moved to Calgary. He is the son of first-generation immigrants who had to flee Uganda as refugees, then lived in the UK before making Canada their final home. He was raised in a family that instilled in him strong values of hard work and giving back through volunteering from a young age. Tennis was a big part of his life during junior high and high school. Playing competitively at the provincial level taught Jan the importance of mental strength and the value of positive affirmation during tough matches.
Having decided at an early age that he wanted to follow his father’s footsteps into a career in dentistry, Jan wasted no time in achieving this goal. Right out of high school, he completed the 5-year accelerated dental program at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, where he graduated with his doctorate in 2002 at the age of 22. Upon graduation he was admitted into the OKU (Omega Kappa Upsilon) Fraternity for the top 10% of the graduating class.
Upon graduating from dental school, Jan joined his father’s family dental practice and was mentored on how to build and nurture caring relationships. He took the lead in converting the practice to be totally digital and paperless in 2003. It is this ethos of hard work, integrity and giving back to his patients, staff and the community, that has led Jan to develop the TREC Dental Partnership that operates 18 dental clinics in the Calgary area. All the TREC Clinics have a reputation for being beautifully designed and well-operated leading-edge facilities.
All of Jan’s partners at these clinics share his passion for social consciousness and they are all actively involved in giving back to the community. In 2018, TREC Dental partnered with CUPS to operate a free dental clinic in Calgary providing care to some of Calgary’s neediest citizens.
Jan regularly volunteers with Kindness in Action, Dentistry For All and the Alex Bus. He has been on 14 overseas dental missions to perform dentistry in remote communities in Guatemala, Peru, Tibet, Morocco and Ecuador. Jan is also very active in his local community. He is currently the Chair of the World Partnership Walk Calgary. He is passionate about health and fitness. He absolutely loves Crossfit and is the co-owner of TREC Fit Lab, a gym in Calgary that helps others get fit and healthy.
Dr. Nordstrom grew up on a farm in Viking, Alberta where his father Bryan was the dentist from 1980-2016. After High School, Dr. Nordstrom attended the University of Alberta where he achieved his Bachelor of Medical Science followed by a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2005. Dr. Nordstrom is a General Dentist.
After Dental School, Dr. Nordstrom moved to the Yukon to work for the Pearson Dental Group where he practiced general dentistry in Whitehorse and the surrounding communities for two years. Dr. Nordstrom gained immeasurable experience from his time in the Yukon, guided by several great teachers including Drs. Ron Pearson and John Stern.
In 2007 Dr. Nordstrom moved back to Alberta, and along with his wife Angela, opened Nordstrom Dental in Wainwright. In 2014 Dr. Nordstrom opened a second office in Rimbey, Alberta, where he now lives with his wife and children.He splits his professional time between Wainwright and Rimbey.
Dr. Nordstrom is a devoted husband and father, and avid wood worker and bee keeper.
Dr. Michael Rondinelli! As a child growing up in Sarnia, Ontario, Dr. Mike spent countless hours in his cousin’s dental office. He admired his cousin for being a leader in his community in addition to working at a job he loved. Dr. Mike dreamed that one day he would also serve his community as well. He went on to attend the University of Western Ontario and obtained a degree in Genetics. From there, Dr. Mike attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. Since graduating, Dr. Rondinelli has returned to the university and has often served as a guest lecturer for dental students.
After finishing his training in 2012, Dr. Rondinelli returned to his hometown to practice dentistry. Additionally, he has enjoyed dedicating his time to being the President of his local Big Brothers Big Sisters Board of Directors. He also enjoys playing hockey in the local men’s league during his free time. He is an active member of the Canadian Dental Association, the Ontario Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Hands-On Training Club, the Lambton County Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry and many others. Dr. Gordon Chee graduated from the University of Alberta in 2000 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and began practicing general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry in Vancouver. Originally from Lethbridge, he returned to Alberta and joined Aesthetic Dental Studio in February 2006.
Over the years, Dr. Chee has had the opportunity to speak at various summits and conferences. Most recently, he served as a guest instructor at the 2019 Dental Influencers Alliance conference in Phoenix, Arizona. In 2021, he was a guest speaker at the Saskatchewan Oral Health Conference and Capture Surgical Photography Course. He was also the keynote speaker at the Stained Tooth Education seminar in Kelowna, BC teaching veneers/smile makeovers and dental photography.
Additionally, his restorative cases have been featured in several dental publications, including the Continuum and Aurum Artisans.
Dr. Wendall Mascarenhas was born and raised in Toronto and completed dental school at the University of Western Ontario where he graduated top of his class achieving 12 awards including the UWO Gold Medal. His passion for orthognathic surgery and facial trauma led him to pursue a fellowship at the Carolinas Center for Oral and Facial Surgery in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Dr. Mascarenhas owns and operates Four Corners Oral Surgery located in Brampton offering the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery to patients. In addition, he is a part-time faculty member of the University of Toronto’s Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department.
In 2020, Dr. Mascarenhas created the Teeth & Titanium podcast, an oral surgery podcast which is supported by the Canadian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (CAOMS) with a new episode released each month. He also serves on the executive committee of the CAOMS as the Membership Chair.
Dr. Mascarenhas has been published numerous times in world-renowned journals including the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (JOMS), the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (IJOMS), and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Cases. One of the projects he is most proud of is CTRead and MRRead; online courses that he created from scratch in order to educate residents and staff on the proper interpretation of CT and MRI scans of the face.
When not operating, podcasting, or teaching, Wendall enjoys watching and playing sports, catching up on the latest Netflix documentaries, and spending time with his wife and son.
Dr. Kyle Stanley, named "The Next Generation of Cosmetic Dentistry" by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, “The Top 10 Young Educators in Dentistry” by the Seattle Study Club, and "World's Top 100 Doctors in Dentistry" graduated from USC and then went on to complete a dental implant residency and dental implant specialty in Brazil. He is a researcher who has published in some of the top dental journals about esthetics, implants, and plastic surgery topics. With his company Pearl, he is changing the way patients are treated through artificial intelligence and is a leader in this field. Dr. Stanley is the most prominent advocate of mental health in dentistry and through his Light Side community has helped countless dentists reduce stress and anxiety. He maintains a private practice in Beverly Hills where he focuses on implant surgery and prosthetics.
Dr. Cunha was born in Brazil. He earned his D.D.S. at the Catholic University of Campinas in 1994 and a Certificate in Endodontics in 1997 at the State University of Campinas. He earned his Masters and his Ph.D. in endodontics at the Center for Dental Research, Sao Leopoldo Mandic in Campinas. A long-time educator and researcher, he taught at the preclinical and clinical levels at the Catholic University of Campinas for 11 years until he moved to Winnipeg to work as a Full-time Professor at the College of Dentistry, Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba. In 2016, he decided to work in private practice full time and co-founded Prairie Endodontics in 2018.
Dr. Cunha has been a guest speaker at over 200 events worldwide and has published over 100 papers and abstracts in several peer reviewed journals. He is a also a Fellow of the International College of Dentistry (ICD) and is currently the President of the Canadian Academy of Endodontics (CAE).
Dr. Cunha is a real Winnipeg Jets fan and enjoys watching sports, swimming and enjoying his family during his spare time.
Introducing Dani Farago, a passionate and dedicated dental technician from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Dani graduated from the dental technology program at George Brown College in 2017 and became a RDT a year later. She is a second-generation dental technician and currently works for her family’s crown and bridge lab.
Dani's goal is to become a master ceramist and to eventually host her own courses, specializing in porcelain and dental photography. She has studied under renowned gurus such as Kataoka Shigeo and Wakita Daiyu at the Osaka Ceramic Training Center in Japan. Her mission is to mimic the beauty of nature in her porcelain and staining technique, which she is currently developing through constant experimentation and communication with experienced ceramists worldwide.

Clara is currently a third year dental student at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry. She grew up in Edmonton, Alberta before moving to Ontario to complete her Bachelor of Science at Queen's University. She began a Certificate of Business concurrently due to her interest in the field, however she discontinued this program to pursue dental school after her 3 years at Queen's University.
She is passionate about all things social and she truly believes in enjoying the journey along the way, no matter where she is at. In undergrad, she almost never missed out on a weekend opportunity to go out with friends and her positive experiences led to her becoming her class's Social Representative during the first 2 years of dental school.
Now, she serves as the Vice President of Student Life (External) for the Dental Students' Society to organize school-wide events throughout the year, play on the dental school's volleyball team, and dance with a team for the annual Dentantics show. She always says, "Getting involved in student life and saying yes to opportunities are undoubtedly a way to make the most of your time in dental school and honestly, in life as well."
She considers Toronto to be a big vibrant city to live in and she loves to explore all the food and things to do in the downtown core. For Clara, meeting new people continues to be one of the most exciting things in her life!

Dr. Jaewoo Cho grew up in Southern California and received his degree in biochemistry from UC Riverside, where he was voted the student body Homecoming King in his senior year. Due to his leadership, high GPA, and countless hours of community service, he was given the Man of the Year award twice in back-to-back years. His achievements landed him at a top dental school in the world. He graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCLA School of Dentistry as a top student in clinic with interests in advanced general dentistry including root canal treatments and oral surgery (dental implants and extractions including wisdom teeth).
He takes pride in being able to provide both the tried-and-true procedures that have withstood the test of time(such as partial gold restorations) and the latest evidence-based treatments(such as biomimetic and bonding dentistry).
Dr. Cho is also the member of fifteen (15) professional dental affiliations. Interestingly, Dr. Cho is fluent in English, Korean, semi-fluent in Spanish, and conversational in French and Mandarin Chinese.

Dr. Bruce Freeman is an honours graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto. He completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester and returned to U of T to complete his Diploma in Orthodontics and his Master of Science degree in the field of orofacial pain. He is also Co-Director of the Hospital Dental Residency Program and Facial Pain Unit at Mount Sinai Hospital where he cares for patients with complex facial pain disorders in addition to participating in the education of the hospital dental residents and specialty dental residents. Dr. Freeman is a facial pain consultant in the Department of Neurosurgery at Toronto Western Hospital. Dr. Freeman lectures internationally on clinical orthodontics, facial pain, patient experience, mindful communication, and virtual surgical planning. Dr. Freeman is a certified yoga instructor with additional training in breathing techniques, meditation, and trauma informed movement, always emphasizing how self-care leads to the best patient care.
Dr. Hesham Sherghin received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (DDS) from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2011, where he was named to the Dean’s List. He then completed a yearlong Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at St. Johns Providence Health System in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Sherghin was the class Vice-President and served as an active member of several societies and organizations. He was the recipient of numerous awards and distinctions including the Most Cooperative Student Award, and Pre-Doctoral Achievement Award-International Congress of Oral Implantology as well as other academic awards and scholarships.
Dr. Sherghin is an active member of several study clubs in the London area, the RCDSO, The ODA, and CDA. Although he is very busy he always finds time to support his community by sponsoring some of his young patients and their youth sports’ teams. He also enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family and looking for ways to further educate himself so he can provide the best possible care for his patients.
Dr. Mohanta is a general dentist practicing in Brampton, Ontario. She graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1995 and the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry in 1999. She later became certified in adult education and was an instructor at a dental hygiene college. She currently works at a community health center treating children and seniors on public dental programs.
Dr. Mohanta has given many presentations and has written several articles for the Ontario Dentist Journal, where she is on the Editorial Board. She is on several committees with the Ontario Dental Association (ODA) and her local dental society, Halton-Peel Dental Association, where she was president. She received the Award of Merit from the ODA and was selected to be on the Canadian Dental Association’s Future of the Profession Task Force. He then moved to Saskatoon where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. After completing the BITES curriculum in 2013, he narrowed his scope of practice to Sedation and Surgical Procedures such as Implant Therapy, Extractions and Grafting.
Dr. Jamal is passionate about applying Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) in all aspects of Oral Surgery and is excited in helping his fellow colleagues incorporate it into their daily practice. He is currently a member of the Alberta Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association. He recently returned from Ecuador where he volunteered his time and skills, providing dental care to people in need. The organizations that he is currently involved with are Change for Children and Kindness In Action. He has also traveled to Guatemala, Nicaragua and Pera providing dental treatment and educating the locals on proper dental care.

In 2007, Dr. Christodoulou was presented with the Arbor Award for outstanding voluntary service to the University of Toronto.
Dr. Christodoulou is a co-founder of Altima Dental, which is one of the largest dental service organizations in Canada and has been one of the principles owners of MCI Onehealth Technologies since 2013. The combined healthcare group enables almost three million patients to access a vast, multidisciplinary group of dentists, medical doctors, medical and dental specialists, physiotherapists, other healthcare practitioners, and related services. Comprised of well over 1,000 healthcare providers and support staff, Dr. Christodoulou has created a team of dedicated professionals providing access to a vast range of healthcare services for Canadians.
Dr. Christodoulou is a graduate of the University of Toronto Dental School (DDS) and the Rotman School of Management (MBA). He practiced dentistry in the Greater Toronto Area for more than 20 years and in 2014 earned a Master with the Academy of General Dentistry. He is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario as well as a member of the Alberta Dental Association and College and the Ordre des dentistes du Québec. Dr. Amin Shivji is the CEO of 123Dentist, one of Canadas largest corporate dental practices. He has been practicing general dentistry in Vancouver since 1993 and has taken numerous postgraduate courses in Occlusion, Gum Surgery, Cosmetic and Laser Dentistry. For the last several years, Dr. Shivji has focused on cosmetic dentistry, including Invisalign and dental implants.
Dr. Shivji strives to help patients achieve excellent oral health and awareness through personalized patient education. Recognizing that oral health can affect other areas of the body, Dr Shivji evaluates and treats each patient with the goal of helping them to achieve and maintain healthy teeth and gums.
Dr. Shivji believes strongly in giving back to the community and has made significant donations to oral cancer research through the BC Cancer Foundation, providing generous donations each year since the beginning of the annual “Evening to Conquer Oral Cancer.” He has also given generously to his alma mater, the UBC Dental School, where he donated the funds for the renovation of two much needed conference rooms.
