It's that time of year where we are all thinking toward a new year and planning out our goals for the next 365 days.
The problem with this is that many times we try to use a system that just doesn't work with what motivates us or aligns with our values and strengths.
For planning to work, it must be tailored for your unique talents and way of getting things done.
In this episode, we look at planning strategies that can be used for each Enneagram Type.
When you're choosing a planning style, it's really important that you choose one that works for you individually because it can help you be more effective and efficient in achieving your goals. A planning style that works for you is going to take into account your personal strengths, your preferences, your limitations, and it's going to help you stay organized, focused, and motivated in a way that may not work for someone else.
Planning in this way will enable you to set clearer, more achievable goals and stay on track and improve your productivity and performance. However, what this looks like for each person is going to look different, and that's perfectly ok!
What we're going to focus on in this episode is how you can lean into your particular Enneagram type too plan and the way that's most effective for you.

TRIGGER WARNING: This episode discusses issues surrounding mental health and suicide. Please note, I am not a mental health professional and do not offer any professional health or medical advice. If you are suffering with any psychological or medical conditions, please seek help from a qualified health professional.
In this episode, I touch on a very sensitive and personal topic: mental health awareness and issues surrounding suicide and suicidal ideation.
In the past week, many have been shocked by the untimely passing of Stephen "tWitch" Boss, leaving many to ask questions.
It was important for me to share my thoughts and check in with you all. Having lost people I know to mental health challenges, it has been a hard week to process. And, I want to acknowledge just how triggering news like this can be for all of us.
I think it's really important that we have open discussions about mental health and the facts regarding suicide in the United States. It is an issue that ultimately does affect us all.
I believe that one of the most important things that we can do to help address this challenge is to speak about it openly and normalize the importance of seeking help for mental health issues.
As leaders, we must be willing to both challenge negative assumptions around these issues and approach them with empathy vs. judgement.
If you or someone you know needs help, pick up the phone. You deserve support.
Trained volunteers are standing by to help you. Call the National Suicide Hotline, which is 988 in the US., or, text HOME to 741-741 for the Crisis Text Line.
Thank you for reading this and listening to this episode. I just want you to know that I love you, and I'm glad you're here.

Today I am excited to share with you an interview that I did with Jarrod Haning. He's a master coach and owner of a company called Mindset Performance, and what he does is he works with people on how to double their income and double their time off by learning how to stop doing all of the things and start causing things to happen.
If you are a purpose driven professional, I can assume a few things about you. First of all, you are committed to your personal growth. You also feel like maybe you're being called to do something greater. You want to step into a bigger leadership role. Or, you want to start your own company, but you feel like there's something more that you're meant to do.
But at the same time, you also feel like you have more on your to-do list than you have time to get things done. You're wanting to figure out how to be able to break a pattern of stuckness where you feel like you're doing the same things over and over and over.
The problem is things like to-do lists and working harder or faster and working smarter, they don't really seem to help because even though you're doing all of the right things, you still feel stuck.
And this can be really frustrating.
This is where Jared's work can help. He provides an assessment called The Mindscan, and it's based on the Nobel nominated work of Robert S. Hartman, which focuses on our personal value structures and helps identify our individual blind spots and opportunities for breakthroughs.
The Mindscan is different from something like the DISC or the Enneagram in that it doesn't address personality traits and it doesn't compare you to other people. It doesn't give you a label. It provides you a scientific measurement of only. And your thinking patterns. So by mapping out your thinking patterns, you can discover your hidden blind spots that have been holding you back and also identify what your key strengths are so that you can grow faster.
