World Infertility Awareness Month is celebrated in June annually to increase awareness regarding the numerous infertility issues faced by couples across the globe. Despite popular belief, women are not the only ones suffering from reproductive problems but also men where a study in 2022 shows over the last 50 years, sperm counts have dropped by more 50 per cent.
In conjunction with Father's Day, we spoke to TMC Fertility Consultant Urologist Dr Muhilan Parameswaran and Malaysian Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (MSART) president Dr Navdeep Singh on infertility in men in an episode of the Wacana Podcast. The Palestinian Prisoner's Day was established to highlight the plight of the Palestinian political prisoners as well detainees in Israeli’s unlawful and inhuman network of prisons and to support the prisoners’ legitimate right to freedom.
It has been reported that as of early this month, Israel arrested around 2,200 Palestinians.
To raise awareness on the prisoners’ plight, their personal experiences under Israel’s military occupation needed to be heard by the public.
