This fall, I’m choosing harmony over hustle. In today’s episode, I talk about slowing down, celebrating culture, and finding joy — even when life feels busy. I share what I’ve learned from Tracee Ellis Ross about harmony, how gratitude can shift your mindset, and why living intentionally matters more than checking every box.

One of my favorite ways to pass the time is listening and watching good storytellers. Today I’m sharing some comedians and master storytellers I can’t get enough of.

I also recap my first International Nourishment Walk with & the Table women around the world. This walk's theme was Friendship & Belonging. As I walked around my suburban neighborhood, I was guided on a reflective journey about how we connect with the women around us & nourish these friendships through different phases of life. It was a unique experience and I’m grateful for the women I connected with. There’s something special and inspiring about sharing an experience with people from around the world, you wouldn’t otherwise engage with. I can’t wait to join the next one!

I was 13 years-old when I was diagnosed with Narcolepsy. Fast forward 17 years, I’m thriving and haven’t let this incurable sleep disorder hold me back. I left home at 17 years-old to attend New York University (NYU), studied abroad, traveled the world, had my heart broken, made lifelong friends, bonded with my family, became a New Yorker, moved back to California, launched a podcast, fell in love (again), and so much more. Through the highs and lows, I persevered because I didn’t want to let this disability dictate what I could do in life.

Today’s episode is the first of many and I hope it inspires you to embrace yourself and this life to the full extent. Life is a gift after all (cheesy yes, but a fact IMO).

Stick around till the end to get some recs on TV I’ve been watching while I walk to Mordor (at the gym). Happy listening and thank you for all of the support and love, it’s an honor to get to share this podcast with everyone who is listening!

Today, I’m reflecting on the last 10 months juggling my 9-5 full time job and content creation. When I launched Precisely Nowhere I was 4 months away from picking up my life and moving it from New York City to California. From moving to New York City at the age of seventeen to attend NYU and building a career in the height of hustle culture, to launching a Podcast and moving back to California in 2023, my curiosity for life has sometimes led to burnout. The first episode of the December mini-sodes is the game plan you need to overcome burnout, at any stage in your life.

  1. Reflect
    • Evaluate how you’re spending your energy, so you can identify the cause of your burnout.
  2. Plan
    • Create an action plan, write down how you want to spend your energy and consider friends, family, work, faith, hobbies, etc. Ask yourself if you need to change any habits/routines.
  3. Action
    • Identify where your time is going, especially if you feel like you have no time. Try the 168 hours exercise (7 days a week x 24 hrs a day = 168 hours a week).
    • Subtract time for sleeping, eating, etc. and use the remaining hours to finalize your plan and new schedule. Shoutout to The Creative Edition for the 168 hour exercise!
    • Put the plan to action (as soon as possible). Schedule time on your calendar to check-in with yourself in a week so you’re taking proactive steps to avoid burnout.
  4. Self-care
    • Make sure to include self-care in your schedule. Whether it’s daily or weekly, consistent self-love can do wonders for your mental health and get you closer to feeling like your best self. Don’t be afraid to try new things, the goal is to find what works for you.
