Each episode of this podcast can be considered a Thank You note to the Makers who brought Star Wars to life, an exploration of different aspects of the seemingly endless entertainment franchise that was started by George Lucas and/or a glimpse into the mind of a super fan who spends A LOT of time thinking and talking about that galaxy far, far away. There will be bits about politics and humor and movie stars and computer generated images and aliens and philosophies of wizard monks in space and a whole lot more. Heed Lando's advice and 'Buckle up!' because this is where the fun begins.
The newest live action Star Wars show on Disney+ is called The Acolyte and folks have LOTS of thoughts, opinions, theories, praise, vitriol, and questions about it. In this episode, I took a few steps into those wild waters by talking about some of my own thoughts and predictions about that show.
I also suggest that you go check out the Clashing Sabers podcast (https://clashingsabers.net/podcasts/). There is a strong team behind their content and they strive to use their podcasting powers for good by helping teachers and students across the country.

As promised, Todd and I got together to start talking about Mandalorian history and some of the costumes associated with it - the Early Crusaders, the Crusaders, and the Neo-Crusaders. Along the way also took time to talk about a few of the things that we have added to our collections and our recent Star Wars activities. Oh yeah, and we also celebrated the fact that Todd is now an official member of the Mando Mercs Star Wars costuming club.

In the years between Return of the Jedi and The Phantom Menace, two wonderful movies were shown on television: The Ewok Adventure and Ewoks: The Battle for Endor. Come along on the adventure of this episode where Ken interviews Jordan Wiegand from The Pod Awakens and they discuss those underappreciated shows from the 1980s.
As an added bonus, you should listen to Dororothee's song, Les Petits Ewoks, that was played during the end credits of The Ewok Adventure when the movie was played in French theaters. You can find the song here ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euVpCyu245U ) on YouTube. You're welcome!--- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/ken-bishop3/message

There have been times in my life when I have heard people say that you shouldn't talk about politics and religion and you definitely shouldn't talk about them in Star Wars. Well, by this time you should know that I am a bit of a rebel and today I am going to bring a friend into the fun with us. In this episode, we will talk with my friend Clem about various political theories and how they show up in the Disney+ Star Wars show Andor. We think you will find it interesting to hear how the ideas of people like Ilan Diamant, Thomas Hobbes, Immanuel Kant, and John Locke connect to George Lucas's galaxy far, far away.

Some people say that Star Wars was better before the company was purchased by The Walt Disney Company in 2012. In my mind, the two companies have been connected long before then and I am going to share some examples of that in this episode.
