Alison Perry-Davies’s belief is that wherever we come from, we have all known some level of pain, loss and trauma, these things do not need to define us. She doesn’t ignore that these things have happened; however, she decided this is not the way her story ends. Using integrated creative therapies along with sound and vibrational therapies she continues to explore and share complimentary healing modalities.
In this podcast she shares her story as well as having many other people sharing their stories about ways that they have found their healing and their way to find joy. Some of the guests will include authors, artists, painters, singers, songwriters, musicians, doctors, healers of different modalities, people who love to organize people who love to build things, people who find ways of raising dogs and kids and, you know, it really doesn't matter exactly what it is. It's all about finding our joy, and finding a way to make life work.
Ali continues to talk about dreams, visions and her experiences with second sight.

Fifteen years ago, she left her therapy practice behind to found her own healing and wellness center in her community, which quickly turned into a global online business. Through The Barr Institute, Dr. Barr helps others both personally and professionally to heal and transform all areas of their lives, then go on to help others do the same. Dr. Barr believes healing should always be able to be replicated.

Ali and BJ talk about what matters most, finding your way and now and then and everything in between.
About the Guest:
BJ Cook is a trailblazer in the British Columbia music scene, having performed as both showgirl and nightclub singer throughout the sixties, opening for Johnny Cash and Della Reese, before joining forces with the legendary Ronnie Hawkins. While in Edmonton she teamed up with David Foster, before moving back to Vancouver and forming Skylark.
BJ is a force and has had a brilliant career in the music industry covering several decades. From being part of the Hawks and Skylark. Cook herself co-wrote with established LA songwriters Michael McDonald, Brenda Russell, David Foster, Bill Champlin and Donovan.
Though the early days of the music industry may have been male dominated, she didn’t let that stand in her way. Never felt discrimination, says BJ. When you sit in a dressing room with a bunch of guys, working dives, and listen to them talk about their lives for years, instead of being off-ended or insulted by the stuff that goes on in the ‘locker room,’ it gave me a sense of power. I never let the fact that I was a woman get in my way. Not ever.

Ali and Rick talk about woodturning and stress relief and the creative process.
About the Guest:
Rick Homer was born and raised in B.C. He has chosen to make Victoria his home for the past 35 years with his wife, Mary. Rick was introduced to woodworking and wood turning at a young age, in his grandfather’s work shop.
Since then he has been refining his craft using environmentally-friendly wood, salvaged from locally grown trees. Rick’s woodturning is a creative process which is often influenced by the color, natural defects, and grain of the woods used.
The wood for Rick’s craft comes mainly from local trees that have died, are diseased, or resulted in being storm damaged. Some of the trees used may have been a hundred years old or more before they succumbed to old age. A few trees are native species but most are trees that have been imported into the area by local arborists and homeowners.
You can view some of Rick’s work either at the Royal BC Museum gift shop where he sells the majority of his work or on his FaceBook group called Homer’s Wood Crafts. He also does custom commission work for weddings and special occasions at very reasonable prices. Shipping is done on a cost basis.
He can be contacted at rickinvictoria@shaw.ca

Ali and Renee talk about healing through laughter and creativity.
About the Guest:
Because of her harrowing experience with a serial sexual predator, and decades of teaching, training and coaching, Renee offers a unique combination of tools, insights and integrative activities that go beyond “Me too” and talk therapy. She provides the key to a life filled with joy, creativity and laughter for trauma survivors who want to break out of their personal prisons and thrive.
When not a Zoom call, recording voiceovers, or writing her book, “Let Your Life Take Flight”, you may find Renee busting out a dance move, on a volleyball referee stand, or taking a walk in her lovely rural town with her husband – and when she’s lucky, with her teenage son.

Ali and Ali talk about fear and love and finding what we are born to do and doing it.
About the Guest:
Shaman ALI OLSHAN Nomad from the African Massai TribeAli is an African refugee who immigrated to the United States in 2005. Ali recognized his intuitive healing abilities at a young age and developed his abilities through his association with other US and African healers. He bowed out of the corporate world to return to Africa to learn and practice the ancient healing powers passed through generations by the Elders of his Grandfathers’ nomadic Maasai tribe. Ali lived intimately with the tribal Elders in the Maasai-mara, an African rural territory.
Ali remains nomadic and consistently moves among different geographical locations. He regularly returns to Africa to live with his tribal nomads family members. There he builds the infrastructure necessary for the permanent accessibility to water previously unavailable to primary school students and their teachers. For the teachers, Ali designed software programs enabling access to the internet and the world of information. Ali is instrumental in helping orphaned children to obtain financial assistance enabling them to attend boarding schools to complete their education.
Ali’s abilities and humanities are recognized and respected by the Maasai tribal Elders. Ali’s “people” include seminar attendees, retreat attendees and individuals in the United States and many foreign countries. He is known to assist any person, anytime, anywhere, with no regard for the person’s financial means or social status. Ali will offer to the Wild Nomads guests his African powerful healing techniques and experiences such as the Animal Flow Dance, the Human Design Astrology, the Power African Yoga, the Chakra Clearing and Alignment, the Energy Power Board Healing and the African Astrology Reading.

Ali and Nafisa talk about faith and art and healing and Sadaqatun Jariya, Ongoing Charity.
About the Guest:
In the world of art, I find my passion in Islamic art. It's a beautiful blend of calligraphy, calligrafitti, and tezhip art. These artistic forms allow me to express the rich cultural heritage in unique ways. But my journey doesn't stop there. I've embraced mindful drawing as a way to bring calmness to the mind. It's not just about creating art; it's about creating a peaceful space for the soul. As an art therapist, I've discovered the incredible power of art in healing. It goes beyond colors and strokes; it's a tool for connecting with emotions and finding inner balance. I guide others on this journey of self-discovery and healing through my artistic expertise. Teaching is another facet of my life. I am an educator who believes in sharing the beauty and significance of Islamic art. I want to inspire a deep appreciation for these art forms, helping others understand their cultural roots and contemporary relevance. Poetry is my way of painting with words. I express emotions and reflections through verses that capture the essence of moments. My writing extends to journaling, where I document thoughts and feelings, often accompanied by visual expressions that tell stories without words. Empowering women holds a special place in my heart. Through workshops, I use art as a means to inspire and build confidence. These sessions are not just about creating art; they're about creating a space where women can discover their strength and celebrate their uniqueness. Art, for me, is a universal language that connects people. Through mindful drawing, poetry, and workshops, I invite others to join me on a journey of self-expression and growth. I believe that art has the power to transcend boundaries, fostering understanding and appreciation among diverse cultures and generations. In the simplicity of strokes and the depth of colors, my bio unfolds as a story of passion, creativity, and a dedication to making a positive impact through the transformative power of art.

Tom and Ali talk about music and mathematics and connections.
About the Guest:
Born and raised in Toronto, Tom has a Master’s Degree in Mathematics and is an MBA graduate of York University. Tom moved to Vancouver in 1984 and began working in the film and entertainment industry. His timing was impeccable in that he had the opportunity to work alongside like-minded individuals who played an integral role in creating a billion-dollar+ industry for British Columbia.
In 1995, Tom co-founded Rainmaker Digital Pictures Corporation ("Rainmaker"). Prior to this he was President and CEO of Gastown Post & Transfer, Western Canada's largest independent post-production facility. Gastown, which evolved into Rainmaker, provided a complete range of digital post-production services for national and international film, television, and video producers.
Some of the TV projects Tom and his team post-produced include 21 Jump Street, The X-Files and Millennium. On the feature film side of the business, Tom had the pleasure of providing services for Legends Of The Fall (Brad Pitt) which won an Academy Award for best cinematography (John Toll) in 1995.
In January 1996, Tom started his career/business coaching practice, which was focused on human capital development, strategic planning and executive training within the sports, entertainment, and communication industries. He also created and instructed a course on "Creating Your Competitive Edge" for the University of British Columbia’s award-winning Entertainment Administration certificate program.
In addition to speaking at various functions and conferences, Tom has sat on a number of provincial, national and international boards covering a wide range of interests.
Throughout his career he has supported the concept of community investment and has given much of his time to charitable and not-for-profit endeavors.
A lifelong follower and participator in sports, Tom is a firm believer in the role sport plays in the developing of values and leadership, He spent twenty years on the board of the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame & Museum supporting its quest of “honoring the past ... inspiring the future.” During his tenure there, Tom produced a fundraising limited edition signed print for the 1994 Commonwealth Games (Victoria, BC), commemorating the 40th anniversary of the legendary 1954 Miracle Mile (Vancouver, BC), a race that resulted in England's Sir Roger Bannister and Australia's John Landy, both breaking the four minute barrier.
Over the past 25 years, Tom has also studied and consulted on the impact of digital technology in business. During that period of time, he introduced the online world to his music creation, “Moments In Time," a curated walk down memory lane. Since August 2000, this five-minute feature, written in a style similar to that of the legendary Paul Harvey's “The Rest of the Story,” continues to air weekly on the web via Treasure Island Oldies and came out in book and e-book formats in the fall of 2021 - "Moments
In Time: Stories About Artists And Songs Of The 50s, 60s, & 70s. For Fans Of Music ... From A Music Fan."
The book is unique in that it is interactive, marrying the "old" with the "new," as each two page story concludes with the title of the featured song and a QR code that allows you to listen to it via your smartphone camera. To date, the book has won 5 awards and now resides in the gift shop and the Library & Archives of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame & Museum in Cleveland.
Tom's eclectic background, "larger than life" stories, and energy has made him a favorite of podcasters, reporters, and TV/radio hosts who have previously interviewed him. He is committed and excited to do more.

Ali and Becky talk about the amazing community of wrestlers and their fans. What it means to be a woman on this incredibly physical stage.
About the Guest:
Becky Beech is a professional wrestler in the Pacific Northwest. Making her debut in June 2022 in Victoria, BC, she has established herself as a mainstay in 365 Pro Wrestling on Vancouver Island. Equally comfortable wrestling men and women in the squared circle, she can be found anywhere a belt, or a participation ribbon may be earned.
Becky’s alter ego is Nicole Roth, a Program Director at a local non-profit supporting adults with disabilities. A former self proclaimed “Theatre geek”, she became enamoured with independent wrestling for its over the top theatrics and storylines. No stranger to rough and tumble sports, having played Roller Derby and rugby in her adult life, a leap into the world of Professional Wrestling seemed like a marriage made in heaven of her two loves, hitting people and overacting.
Becky and Nicole are here to prove to everyone that showing up and celebrating yourself, all of yourself, is the best thing you can do. They are here to show that participation means being afraid, being uncertain, and doing it anyway. Showing up is the first part of the battle.

Ali and Hank talk about gigs and friends and art spanning a 6 decade career and always Keeping it Live!
About the Guest:
Meet Hank Lionhart an absolute force on and off stage!!
I was born in North Battleford Saskatchewan on April 7, 1947. I grew up in Stettler Alberta where my Dad owned the Drive Inn Movie Theatre. After Graduating High School I went to Seattle Washington to attend the Burnley School of Professional Art. After graduating I moved to Edmonton and secured a Job as a Fashion Illustrator for Woodwards’ Department Store. I moved along to work as an Art Director at Baker Lovick Advertising in Edmonton. I eventually moved to Victoria BC and worked for Palmer Jarvis Advertising for about 5 years then transferred to head office in Vancouver for an additional 10 years. After this I freelanced and eventually left North Van for Edmonton. I spent about 7 years back in Edmonton where I met my beautiful and talented wife Lil Kim. We relocated to Victoria 9 years ago. We now reside in Sidney and I do a bit of freelance art work and now do a lot of fine art with my Tribute to Legendary Blues Artists Portrait Series.
Along with this time line I did start my music journey with a band called the Clouds during my years at Art School in Seattle. After moving back to Edmonton I joined a group called the Sons of Adam after this band I had a band called Sweet Salt who eventually became Coloured Rain and we toured all over Western Canada playing the Cabaret Circuit. I relocated back to Edmonton and Joined a band called Hot Cottage this is where I fell in love with the blues. After 5 years in this band I moved back to Victoria and started Uncle Wiggly’s Hot Shoes Blues Band, we had a lot of success for about 4 years getting signed by RCA releasing 3 CD’s and opening for Muddy Waters, Joe Cocker, George Thorogood, James Cotton and many more. I eventually moved back to Vancouver where I formed the R&B Toasters this band was a mainstay on the R&B and Blues Scene during Expo 86 opening for the Neville Brothers, John Mayall, Koko Taylor and more. We eventually hooked up Jack Lavin of Powder Blues Fame and became known as the Kingpins we recorded 2 CD’s and had a decent amount of success. I then moved back to Edmonton and formed Big Hank and a Fist Full of Blues for 7 years and recorded two CD’s. I moved back to Victoria about 9 years ago and resurrected Uncle Wiggly’s and the Kingpins and now currently Have my main band the Smoking Hot Toasters and my Trio the Blue Hearts. It has be a crazy trail but I have and still do love every minute of it…

Ali and Laurin talk about the stories we tell ourselves and how to switch the narratives.
About the Guest:
Laurin Wittig is an intuitive energy healer and transformation mentor. She’s the host of Curiously Wise, a podcast dedicated to embracing the wisdom of women, and she’s an award-winning novelist. She helps people reveal, release, and positively transform the underlying sources of physical, mental, and emotional pain so they can consciously live a new story, one filled with passion, purpose, and joy.
When her own journey with chronic health issues, that were sort of controlled by meds, took second place to the journey of her children’s unusual, and sometimes life-threatening, health issues, she appreciated Western medicine for helping to manage symptoms (though creating other problems), but knew there had to be a better, gentler, way to create true health. She turned to alternative healthcare options…and became fascinated by the amazing changes she quickly saw in her children, and in herself.
Through this and her own journey to better health and spiritual awakening, Laurin discovered her superpower of unlocking the hidden stories of the body through intuitive healing.

Ali and Jeff talk about making your own path to finding your joy.
About the Guest:
Jeff Klein has been joining speakers to meeting and event planners for almost 10 years. He focuses on ONE thing: teaching speakers how to benefit from speaking for their business whenever they get the opportunity so that event planners can’t wait to return for even more from Speaker Co-op.
That means increased brand awareness and solid message development, but it also means using a proven system that speaking event organizers appreciate because of the value it brings to the groups where you present.
Speaking organizers and event planners want subject matter experts to truly engage their groups so they will get called over and over again to provide great speakers. Jeff teaches systems to communicate effectively, and also helps presenters understand how valuable building a network from that opportunity can be as an income generator for your business.
A networking superstar and active meeting coordinator currently in Dallas, Houston and Austin, in the upcoming months Jeff plans to branch his meetings into cities all over the continent. If you are interested in opening up a Speaker Co-op Chapter in your town, contact Jeff Klein for more information.

Ali and Iris talk about following your calling, wherever it may lead. For Iris that was From a Graphic artist in California to Bright Shaman in Geneva Switzerland, it has been an amazing journey!
About the Guest:
I’m Iris. I was named after the Greek goddess of the rainbow, the messenger between heaven and earth.
As a child, I was extremely proud of this. I was also exceptionally sensitive, and routinely saw and felt things that weren’t there. I quickly learned to hide what I saw from others. So I kept quiet and stopped believing in myself. In adolescence, my sensitivities turned scary and I was troubled by terrible nightmares and visions. When I moved to London from California at the age of 24 I decided to put all of this behind me and worked hard to “build a wall” around my intuition. But in doing so I cut off a vital part of myself.
I met my husband, married, had a stable job as a graphic designer, and eventually had a son. On the surface I was happy, but I was also anxious and depressed, plagued by low self-esteem and haunted by past trauma. After the extremely difficult birth of my son, all the walls came crashing down in spectacular fashion. After two weeks of the same persistent nightmare that left me unable to sleep more than a few hours at a time, I knew I had to take action. I booked a weekend workshop on shamanism that called to me. During that class, the teacher performed a deep and intense shamanic healing on me. After the healing, it was like the sun had come out in my life for the very first time. I felt a sense of peace, greater joy, and new hope for the future. This was the start of my shamanic journey.
Shamanism gave me the vocabulary for what I was experiencing and the tools to channel and refine my natural abilities. Working with a variety of shamanic teachers over the years I slowly learned how to find myself and to be in the world with authenticity and intent.
At the start of my formal shamanic training I was given a call to action by the Ancestors: to empower people to step into their divine radiance and live their true purpose in this lifetime. This mandate has utterly transformed my life.
It is my life’s purpose to help people to discover their own abilities, connect to their inner wisdom, and walk the path to personal freedom and fulfillment.

Ali and Brenda talk about finding balance and our healthiest self.
About the Guest:
Wellness can be complicated. We make it simple. And doable. So you can be your best YOU!
Brenda Wollenberg is an author and educator, and combines her education and experience as a nutritionist, social worker and co-pastor in her work as a body /mind /spirit wellness coach. The past five years she has expanded her training and scope of practice to help her clients understand how genetics influences overall wellness. She has worked for decades using metabolic typing to inform food plans, exercise routines and stress management tools.
With the added epigenetics component, however—examining how behaviors and environment can cause changes that affect genes expression—she now works, 1-1 and in a group setting, to help clients explore clinically relevant and nutritionally actionable genes, and discover the ideal way to eat, supplement, move and calm for their genetic profile.
Brenda is author of 'Overweight Kids in a Toothpick World', and 'Eat, Sleep Move: For Your Genetic Body Type. How to Physically and Emotionally Care for a Unique You’. She has had articles in Canadian Living, Mclean's and Family Fun and has also created In Balance Wellness programs for children, teens and adults. Most recently, along with co-creator Alicia Mazari-Anderson, a fellow nutritionist with a PhD in biology, Brenda has developed Gene Reset Blueprint: A 12-Week Program for Personalized Optimal Health.
Brenda’s decades of experience across a range of physical, emotional and spiritual modalities, has enabled her to design a methodology that harnesses the power of both genetics and epigenetics—the environment—to optimize good health.

Ali and Karen talk about where we start and where we go and Joy being a choice.
About the Guest:
Meet Karen Kobel of Kahlena Movement Studio.
In a nutshell…
I find freedom and inspiration in movement, whether I am watching or actually moving. I have been given an opportunity to integrate my diverse training into my pilates and dance classes. This union has lead to a unique warm up and work out that encourages my clients to discover full body awareness by finding their centre, allowing for deeper discovery through the mind, the body as well as their breath. By incorporating mat-based moves to dance class and dance-based moves to pilates, I bring grace to the mat and stability to the dance.
Over the last few years, I have found movement to be some of the best healing for the mind, body and soul. I love sharing my experiences and discoveries with those who are interested in moving to heal as well as tapping into one’s own mind, body, and soul for healing. Put them all together and you have the opportunity to:
BREATHE. MOVE. UNLEASH!
Karen’s History…
With a BFA in Dance Performance from East Carolina University, Karen has been dancing for the past 39 years, teaching for the past 26 years and performing for various artists such as Mia Michaels, Jay Norman, Marjon Van Grunsven, Tomi Galaska, Mary Carbonaro and Peter Grey Terhune. She has performed on the Regal Princess and Crown Princess Cruise ships, Madora, and other local artists. She is a STOTT Certified Pilates instructor. She is a Simonson Certified Dance instructor as well as CI Training Certified instructor and Costa Yoga Certified.
After discovering her love for movement and fitness, Karen discovered Pilates. With a focus on enhancing core strength and bringing increased reach, flexibility, sure-footedness and agility, it made perfect sense for her to pair her love for dance with her next love, Pilates. She has been teaching Pilates for 18 years, and continues to challenge her students with her various teaching techniques.
Combining Simonson Dance Technique with Pilates and CI training, Karen has created a unique class format that not only allows the body to flow from movement to movement, it allows the mind to connect to the present moment, leaving her clients feeling rejuvenated, renewed, and restored. Connecting to their inner “wonder” allows the client to feel more balanced and grounded.
After returning from Kenya and Uganda in November 2013, Karen realized the importance of tuning into one’s life purpose. After teaching women with HIV Pilates/Dance/Strength Training and listening to their life stories she now realizes her life purpose to inspire others, especially women to find their own voice just as she found after the past few years of focusing on finding me mine. Karen inspires and share her experiences with others in the hopes that it will help them believe that anything is possible, and everything is possible!

Ali and Stuart talk about Breaking through the B.S. Barriers that hold us back from living our best lives.
About the Guest:
Stuart Elliott has been dubbed a soul whisperer and is recognized for helping people break free from the mental prisons of negative inner dialogue and self-sabotage that keep them drained of passion and dissatisfied with life. Once they do and they sweep away all the baggage that’s been holding them back they are able to connect to what their soul is trying to tell them. This gives them the space and freedom to truly start to love themselves. It’s a beautiful thing to help someone do.
Stuart says there is no greater joy than seeing the heartfelt smile break out on a person’s face as they connect to their inner greatness and express something like: “Wow, it feels as though I’ve been reborn into who I was always meant to be…” Born in the UK, he’s traveled extensively throughout Africa and lived there for 18 years before relocating to the South of China in 2003 where he currently resides with his wife and two young daughters.
He’s certified in both Classic and New Code NLP by John Grinder, is a member of the IAPCH, certified in Ericksonian Conversational Hypnotherapy and other Hypnosis disciplines. He also has a keen interest in Mindfulness and Positive Psychology and is blessed with the intuitive gifts of ‘Truth and Clarity’. Drawing upon this rare blend of formal studies as well as his unique perspective and understanding of people gleaned from living for extended periods on diverse continents he’s developed the potent CPNHTM coaching system. It is specifically designed to help you find the solutions that will quickly allow you to connect to your greatness and flourish. In addition to his love of helping people create joy filled lives, Stuart has a deep love of nature, especially African nature and wildlife.
His dream is that we can find peace within ourselves so we can live in harmony with this beautiful planet we are all an integral part of.

Ali and Lorna talk about Celebrating You!
About the Guest:
My name is Lorna Ketler, owner and lead body-love enthusiast at Bodacious Lifestyles Inc.
Bodacious originally started as a consignment boutique 20+ years ago and has grown to now feature the best and most beautiful plus-size fashions from around the world!
I passionately encourage women to fully recognize and appreciate their beauty, their bodies and their curves!
Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, and owning it fully is powerful.
After 5 years of living on our boat in Vancouver, I’m now pleased to now call Victoria my home.
I delight in seeing the world with a fresh perspective. In my 50th year, I decided that every month for one year I would create “epic” experiences in my world starting with walking 100 km of the Camino de Santiago on my 50th birthday. That completed, I filled my months with big and small experiences including jewelry making classes, jumping off the back of my boat for a swim (so awesome!), painting workshops, travel and most importantly, precious time with dear friends. I even started a ukulele class with my hubby.
You can find my brick and mortar women’s clothing stores, Bodacious in Victoria & Duncan, BC, online and at various pop-ups throughout the lower mainland throughout the year.
As awesome as the fashions are at Bodacious, what you’ll find when you walk through the door is a fun, safe, welcoming environment where all bodies are beautiful and worthy of clothing that celebrates YOU!
My passion includes helping women really look at their response to the clothes they're trying on. Do they twirl in front of the mirror? Are they smiling? Are they in love with how the fabric feels on their body?
3 years ago, in the middle of the Covid world, I started swimming with a friend in a local lake. This led to swimming year round, including when the lake was ice-covered and we had to break through to get in!!
I'm loving my 50's (now closer to 60!) and looking forward to my next grand adventure - yet to be determined!

Ali and Maureen talk about Creativity, Community, and Kindness
About the Guest:
Meet Maureen Washington!
Welcome to my table of life!
I am a Canadian/International Jazz and Blues Singer and newly turned Urban Homesteader.
I went from A "Diva on the Stage" To a "Diva in the Dirt"!
Like many people, 2020 closed many doors but yet at the same time opened up new ones.
With the lack of performing, I jumped in with both hands and feet and learned about Gardening, Chicken Husbandry, Pressure Canning, Sourdough Bread, Cheese Making and Carpentry, and now I'm excited to share my journey with you. From gardening tips, to delicious recipes, to DIY projects, I'm here to show you that urban homesteading is accessible and achievable, no matter where you live.
Join me as I continue to turn my urban space into a thriving permaculture oasis.
Even though the music business is back to "business", I've fallen in love with being an Urban Homesteader, and want to continue this passion.
As an Urban Homesteader, I strive to create a sustainable and healthy lifestyle in the city.
Through my Youtube vlogs, I hope to share my journey and encourage others to explore their own self-sufficiency.
I'll be posting tips, tricks, and stories of my experiences as I continue to learn and grow as an urban homesteader!
My eventual goal is to own a piece of property to grow on a larger scale.
In the meantime, I will continue to teach my Kidults and others the different aspects of Urban Homesteading, as I'm passionate about bringing back the life skills and art of homesteading, similar to the life that our Great Grandfathers and Great Grandmothers would have had, but with modern conveniences.
Join me on my journey and be inspired to fall in love with aspects of eating natural food grown in your own garden.
The products I will be selling online and local will help to sustain my home and to help me realize my dream.
For locals in my community, I will feature a variety of Veggies and high-quality, affordable products.
My passion for excellence has driven me from the beginning, and I will continue to drive my dream into the future.
I know that every product counts, and I strive to make your entire shopping experience as rewarding and fun as possible.
Check out my store and special offers, and or get in touch with questions or requests.

Ali and Margaret talk about the importance of building community and giving back.
About the Guest:
Margaret Mulcair Mackenzie has had 14 moves, 34 years as a CAF spouse and over 200 weeks of family separation.
A vast career from waitressing to office management and from teaching to outreach. Networking and building community are my superpowers.
As human beings we all need connection. In life, it is important to take the time to: observe, listen, try the 7-second sound bite, build community at every chance you get, What if UP! and smile because even when on the phone you can actually hear a smile. We can be miserable anywhere, I choose to find joy in life! It takes a village

In life, it is important to take the time to: observe, listen, try the 7-second sound bite, build community at every chance you get, What if UP! and smile because even when on the phone you can actually hear a smile. We can be miserable anywhere, I choose to find the joy in life! It takes a village

Ali and Nancy talk about exploring options at any age including creating a talk show, starting stand-up comedy after 50 years of age, and always moving forward.
About the Guest:
Nancy Guitar is the Creator and Host of “Small Talk with Nancy Guitar” where she has interviewed artists and politicians and activists and people from all walks of life.
Nancy is an open book and shares openly where she has come from creating a very safe space for her guests.
Nancy was born in 1948 in Campbellton N.B., the 3 youngest of 12 children. She became the family loner, not by choice, but because she spent a lot of her youth quite ill. As a result of being ill, she didn’t start school until she was 7 years old.
Her family moved to Montreal in 1956, the day after she was released from the hospital.
They went from a house with no central heating and outdoor plumbing to living in an apartment.
She felt that the move was good and bad both, while it opened up a wonderful new world, it was also when the worst of her sexual abuse began.
She moved to New Market Ontario with her then-husband in 1975, where my son Andrew was born. They moved to Burlington Ontario In 1981 where her daughter Jamie was born.
Her relationship lasted 25 years, Nancy shares that sadly it was a mentally abusive situation.
In 1996 she moved to Chilliwack where her sister lived and that was when her life got so much better. She met and married Bill; they were together for 15 years until he passed in 2012.
Nancy got into stand-up comedy at the age of 52, with her niece and they were the “Wise Ass Comedy Runtz.” She joined Toastmasters a couple of years later.
After her husband passed, Nancy started to volunteer for the Shaw TV community access program with the intention of having a show where she interviewed people. The show was “Getting to know you”. That ended when the CRTC changed the rules and Show no longer had to have community access. She went on to work with ChillTV for a while, and that is when she changed the name of her show to
“Small Talk with Nancy Guitar”. Nancy said, My show is now considered a podcast.
When she was 62, Nancy was invited to join an improv team that was so much fun!

About the Host:
Alison Perry-Davies (Ali) is intentional about Finding Joy in her life
Sustaining a brain injury, being diagnosed with PTSD, and raising a daughter with a variety of challenges, Ali decided there had to be more to life than what she was experiencing and began her journey to find more joy.
Ali’s belief is that wherever we come from, we have all known some level of pain, loss and trauma, these things do not need to define us. She doesn’t ignore that these things have happened; however, she decided this is not the way her story ends. Using integrated creative therapies along with sound and vibrational therapies she continues to explore and share complimentary healing modalities.
Ali is a recent winner of the WOW Woman of Worth 2023 award for "Community Spirit" sponsored by Global TV
Ali hosts the podcast, Find Your Joy. She is also a co-author in 2 WOW (Woman Of Worth) Books as well as a Family Tree series book on Mother Son relationships. She went on to write her own book,

In part 3 of our interview with Andy, the conversation turns to one of recognizing your own self-worth. We all have gone through so much change and adversity over the past year that it has been easy to lose our authentic selves and believe that we are not worth what we put out. Being humble is one thing but it is easy to believe if we continue to self-deprecate. Sand up for your own value. Own your Awkwardness and your Awesomeness.
About the Guest:
Andy Vargo is no stranger to change!
If you ever feel awkward about yourself, then you can understand how Andy Vargo lived the first forty years of his life. Coming out of the closet at forty doesn’t define him, pursuing his passion to help others does. Having changed everything about his life, Andy leads others as a motivational speaker and helps people live their fullest lives as a business and life-change coach. At night you can find him working stages around the northwest as a comedian making light of his journey with the gift of laughter.
Awkward is not only his brand, but his style as Andy encourages us all to ‘Own Your Awkward’ and be true to your genuine self.
Andy hosts the podcast, Own Your Awkward, authored the Awkward Journal series and Own Your Awkward Life Changes, and shares his thoughts and ideas in his blog and video series available at awkwardcareer.com.
