Jason and Greg sit down with Founder of Gems for Gems, Jordan Guildford
Jordan Guildford is a small-town Nova Scotian girl who moved to Calgary in 2014. After initiating a successful Jewelry Drive to give gifts on Christmas morning to survivors of domestic abuse, she made a critical observation which would change everything for her. The public wanted to mobilize for survivors but with the recession already devastating the city, they desperately wanted to use their skills, time, and energy to make a change.
This led to Jordan creating a national charity called Gems for Gems focused on bringing an end to the cycle of domestic abuse in collaboration with the public. Gems for Gems has gifted over 26,000 gifts on Christmas morning across the country, assisted thousands of survivors with essential skills (financial literacy, preventative self-defence, resilience, and psychological coping skills) and empowerment, built a scholarship program for survivors and, launched an ambassador program comprised of men and women all unified under the same mission. The Gems for Gems Ambassador Program spans across Canada and the U.S. as well as having three celebrity ambassadors within the team. Most recently, Gems for Gems has launched Hope’s Cradle. This initiative is a safe surrender location for mothers who feel there is no other alternative to ensure the safety of their babies.

Jason and Greg sit down with The Host of The Canadian Podcast: ZAK
The MenTELL Health campaign objective of #MenTELLHealth is to bring awareness and diminish the stigma surrounding men's mental health in the Month of June 2023.
MenTELL.ca was born out of a pressing need to address the significant gaps in men's mental health care across Canada. Founded by a handful of men during Men's Mental Health Awareness Month in June of 2023, the initiative grew from a collective concern among diverse Canadians-from entrepreneurs and artists to military veterans and first responders
—who recognized the profound silence and stigma surrounding men's mental health issues. This group, moved by personal experiences and the stories of men struggling in silence, came together to create a platform for change. They launched a social media and in-person campaign aimed at breaking down barriers and fostering open discussions about mental well-being
By encouraging men to speak up and release the emotional burden that hinders their personal growth, Zak and his team at MenTELL Health (https://instagram.com/mentell.ca) aim to facilitate a transition toward a more peaceful and fulfilling life for all individuals involved.

Jason and Greg sit down with Veteran & 1st Responders’ Mental Health Advocate Sach Latti
Donate to the Sach.In.Motion Fund: https://form.123formbuilder.com/6647897/sach-in-motion-donation-form
Starting June. 5th, 2024 Global Running Day Sach will be running 60km a day for 52 days consecutively.
Sachin Latti is the heart of Sachinmotion. With a growing team of supporters around him, his goal is to raise money and awareness for veterans & first responders in need of help as they heal from PTSD & mental health illnesses, as these issues have been a part of his life.
Running was never his strong suit. He grew up wrestling at his high school in Plano, Texas, where he learned the value of hard work. However, this commitment to hard work wavered as he returned to Canada after secondary school and lost his passion for health and fitness.
As Sachin entered his late 20’s, he realized, sitting at 230lbs & clearly overweight, that something had to change. A gym membership was the first step and he soon began to get into lifting. It was a sanctuary for his mental & physical growth.
Throughout the span of 15 years, Sachin had competed as a bodybuilder and found a love for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, however, his life adjusted in 2020 when he found that his only resource for staying fit and staying sane, while challenging himself, was to hit the pavement and run.

Jason and Greg sit down with Ali & Dave Kervin from the Ruck’N Rise Podcast
When these two aren't out being active with weighted packs on their backs, they're working on lightening the load many others carry when it comes to mental health challenges faced in our society today.
Dave & Ali Kervin created the Ruck'n Rise Podcast in June of 2023 to create a safe space to have open and honest discussions about mental health, fitness, goal setting, and the pursuit of betterment.
Dave & Ali are both from Peterborough, Ontario.
Ali Kervin is a fitness enthusiast, and full-time, certified positive dog trainer, currently pursuing her yoga instructor certification. Following the tragic loss of her brother to suicide in April of 2023, Ali knew she had to do something to create more awareness and improvement within her community and beyond for mental health. While rising out of her comfort zone, with the help of her husband Dave and her close friend Kendra, Ali created the Ruck'n Rise Podcast.
Dave Kervin, a primary reservist with the Canadian Armed Forces, and Ambassador for Wounded Warriors Canada, has always had a passion for health, fitness, and helping those around him achieve their goals to keep moving forward in life. Between friends who have faced battles in armed conflict, to those on the front lines in our communities, Dave is always seeking the next approach to better support those around him as they continue on their path for betterment.

Jason & Greg sit down with The owner of The Judo Way of Life, David Groom.
David first started training at his local Judo Club, in Bacup, England at the age of 7 and hated it. Thankfully, two years later, he gave it another go and quickly fell in love with the sport. David went on to represent, Bacup Judo Club, Northwest of England Judo Team, England and the Great Britain Team, both domestically and internationally, winning numerous medals and titles. After finishing university with an Honours Degree in Physical Geography, David started training full-time and this is when The Judo Way of Life was first created.
David was living inside a metal porta cabin at the back of a Judo Club in a small town in the north of England, where he and several others, trained 3-5 times a day 6 days a week (7 if there was any GB Squad training on at the weekend). The Judo Way of Life started off as a way of sharing David’s training program and competition results at the time.
In 2015, David relocated to Sydney Australia, where he still regularly trains and occasionally competes, however, his focus has shifted towards coaching and mentoring of the next generation of Judoka. With this, The Judo Way of Life has also evolved into an educational platform, aimed at helping to make Judo more accessible to others.
David is currently a 4th Dan Black Belt in Judo and a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He has been training in Judo for over 25 years and has 20 years of coaching experience. For David’s competition results visit: Judo Inside. David initially started coaching under the mentorship of ex British Cadet Squad Coach Brian Moore. Gaining experience first at club level, he has gone on to coach regional and national level fighters. Through the development of a grassroots club in Manchester UK, working as part of serval Judo programs for Primary and Secondary Schools, and designing and operating a Self-Defence for Vulnerable Women for his local area David has extensive experience in coaching.
David currently coordinates the Junior Judo Program at Zenbu Judo Club, runs Strength & Conditioning programs for a number of the elite athletes, as well as 1-on-1 sessions for beginners right through to Australian Team representatives.
Alongside the physical nature of Judo and S&C Training, David has incorporated his passion for mental wellbeing and development of character, through his work on Emotional Intelligence and Mindfulness. Jason and Greg sit down with mental health advocate Sachin Latti.
This commitment to hard work wavered, however, as he returned to Canada after secondary school and lost his passion for health and fitness.
As Sachin came into his late 20’s, he realized, sitting at 230lbs & clearly overweight, that something had to change. A gym membership was the first step and he soon began to get into lifting. It was a sanctuary for his mental & physical growth.
Throughout the span of 15 years, Sachin had competed as a bodybuilder and found a love for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, however his life adjusted in 2020 when he found that his only resource for staying fit and staying sane, while challenging himself, was to hit the pavement and run.

Jason and Greg sit down with The Host of The Canadian Podcast: ZAK
In June of 2023, Zak decided to bring a group of men from various walks of life together from across our nation of Canada to launch and create a social media, online and in-person awareness to Men’s Mental Health as June is men’s mental health month.
As an entrepreneur in the digital realm, Zak decided that the branding of the name will be ‘MenTELL Health’ which is a passion project dedicated to fostering men's mental health awareness. Zak believes that as one, our community can come together and work together through the grassroots to help each other with shattering the silence and erasing stigma by encouraging open dialogue and empowering men to speak up about their struggles when it comes to their mental well-being.
In his own journey, Zak found the help through members of the community that were online and in-person, and strongly believes that no one is alone out there, even when we may feel it at times.
The MenTELL Health campaign objective of #MenTELLHealth is to bring awareness and diminish the stigma surrounding men's mental health in the Month of June 2023.
As the team grows, we hope to add more months with various challenges for others across the nation to participate in through online objectives or in-person, the goal is to just speak up and let others know that it is also okay to share on what you’re going through by building, fostering and nurturing your own circles of support.
Zak has outlined that the team's goal and mission of MenTELL.ca is to create an online and in-person voice where men can unite, share their experiences, and find solace by opening up about their struggles publicly or privately with the people that they trust or find comfort and solace in.
By encouraging men to speak up and release the emotional burden that hinders their personal growth, Zak and his team at MenTELL Health (https://instagram.com/mentell.ca) aims to facilitate a transition towards a more peaceful and fulfilling life for all individuals involved.
