Affirming the ordination of women in the Lutheran Church of Australia and New Zealand. This is a collection of articles and reflection pieces written between 1976 and 2022 while women were excluded from public ministry in the Lutheran Church of Australia and New Zealand. Alongside those that address the arguments that have been used to exclude women from ministry, other articles propose different ways of addressing the question. Still others are personal reflections from women who have heard God's call to public ministry, women who have been ordained in Lutheran churches around the world, and pastors and laypersons thinking about the impact of the prohibition on themselves and the church.
