Emily Carter of Embelinaa picked up a wood burner at a craft store early on in the pandemic of 2020. She has been practicing her pyrography regularly since while balancing studying for a Masters in Environmental Policy and Management, working a full time job and creating costumes for the local theater.

Hannah Baker of Knots and Embers fell in love with wood burning after finding a simple burning tool at her job. She has since taken to creating some of the most intricate, simple and impactful designs on wood. I love how she blends simple people with detailed natural scenes.
