Today I'm reviewing The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollen. It covers a lot of good information about our food systems by following the process of production and preparation of four different meals. It covers topics like how corn has come to dominate the agricultural systems, faults in the way we produce food, the disconnect we have between food, and many other topics relating to our omnivory. There's a lot of ground to cover in the summary so I didn't get to cover all the interesting points I found in the book, but hope y'all enjoy what I can put together from the book.

This around 100 pages of different thoughts he has on the economy and markets moving forward, so I decided to point out some interesting points I found while reading over it and add some of my own thoughts.

This video is a little bit overdue! If you have not heard yet there is a new fork of the Steem blockchain. After Justin Sun of Tron took over the Steem blockchain and tried to centralize it, the community decided to create a fork. Hive is the new chain with basically all of the development on it. I'll be going over a couple of thoughts. Mainly also felt liked I needed to make an update on this for people who have heard me talk about Steem before. Those statements (which are just opinions and should not be used as financial advice) now apply to the Hive blockchain and not Steem. I also wanted to make this video for subs out there who might be passive Steem holders and are not aware of the changes. Hope the recap was helpful!

I wanted to make a break down of the situation for my Youtube audience who might not be following these things as closely as the Steem community has. If you are all the way up to date with the situation you can skip to 7:20 to hear my thoughts on the matter. The main point I want to bring up is that there should be a plan of action in case things go south. I'd rather not have this community be a fork. It's kind of hard to beat the established chain and I think it would be a lose-lose situation. I don't think not allowing witness voting for part of the Justin Sun stake would be hostile; it's just a step to ensure that this blockchain isn't centralized. Another possibility would be to change the rules on how we vote for witnesses.
Would be interested to hear discussion of these ideas down below if you're not already too worn out from all the Tron discussion.
